《Dungeon Predator》Chapter 507. Mayanes Jigon and Orga (2)

Gainus had told them everything he knew about Jigon and Orga.
[Which one is stronger?]
Sephiro had probably asked him that question.
[Jigon's more dangerous.]
[Why is that?]
[Because he has the Black Sun.]
Gainus had replied curtly.
[The Black Sun?]
[It's a blade made out of endlessly burning fire that can incinerate anything.]
That was the Black Sun in a nutshell. And that was exactly what Jigon was holding right now.
Whir.
Jigon swung the Black Sun. His blade extended, sweeping through everything in its path.
"D-Dodge it!"
Those floating in the air were shocked, and scattered in every direction. However, Jigon had been aiming for Sephiro. To him, he was 'unforgivable trash' that had pierced through his wing!
"W-Waryong!" Sephiro urgently yelled. "We can't afford to get hit by that!"
According to Gainus, even if you're grazed by the sword, the flames would continue to burn you until you were nothing more than ash.
Kyaaa!
Waryong crazily flapped its wings.
Whoosh!
They had avoided the Black Sun by a hair's breadth. However, there was someone who'd been unintentionally grazed by the flames.
It was Helena.
Roar.
Black flames ignited at the tip of her cape. Fortunately, she acted quickly.
Helena quickly threw away her cape.
3 seconds. It had only taken 3 seconds for the cape to burn to cinders.
It had been an S-rank robe, yet it had been completely destroyed. Rather than feel regretful for its loss, she felt goosebumps.
What if she had been a little slower? And what if those flames had reached her skin? There would be no trace of her left.
Helena bit her lip. Then, she recalled what Gainus had told them.
[There's a simple way to deal with it. Hold out. The Black Sun requires a tremendous amount of life force, so he can't use it for very long.]
It wasn't just her. Bart, Sephiro, Cyndia, the Church of Death, and the Draco Tribe clearly remembered those words.
They all had a singular goal to strive towards.
'Survive until the very end!'
They all gritted their teeth.
"Die, you insect!" Jigon swung the Black Sun at Sephiro once more.
"Damn it!"
Waryong and Sephiro struggled to survive against the Black Sun.
* * *
Bubble.
Air bubbles floated to the surface of the water.
A white shark floated in the water with its stomach face up, and was swept away by the current.
Kang Oh pushed away the ammonite corpses that obscured his vision.
His surroundings were filled with the corpses of the hideous underwater monsters. None of them had survived their battle with him.
Kang Oh, Eder, and Sara had destroyed them all.
Tap.
Kang Oh grabbed Eder's shoulder. Eder turned his head around and looked into Kang Oh's eyes.
He pointed at Gainus and Orga. Gainus launched giant boulders at Orga, which he shattered with his off-hand and tail.

Kang Oh pointed at Orga with his index finger, and then slid it across his throat.
Eder nodded his head.
Next, he pointed at himself, and then at Gainus's left. Then, he pointed at Eder and directed him to Gainus's right side.
'I'll go left, you go right.'
'Understood.'
Sara pointed at herself. 'What about me?'
Kang Oh pointed at himself with his thumb. 'Follow me.'
The two moved as planned with Sara following Kang Oh.
Gainus knew that Kang Oh and Eder were coming over.
'I should open a path for them.'
Kang Oh was the only one that could put an end to Orga for good.
Gainus opened his mouth wide.
Suck.
Sparkling energy gathered in his mouth. He was clearly trying to use a Breath.
'Crazy bastard!'
Orga prepared his counterattack. He drew his bowstring so hard that it seemed like it'd break.
Gainus had proven that Ocean's Fury was no match for his Breath. Thus, he needed an even more powerful attack.
He felt the God of Creation's source shake within him.
'More, more!'
The worm began to drain more life force from the humans.
At that moment...
Bam!
Gainus unleashed a Divine Dragon's Breath.
Split!
The lake was split in two, just like how Moses parted the Red Sea.
The Divine Dragon's Breath came flying at Orga. Then, Orga let go of his bowstring.
Bam!
Leviathan's Fury!
There were monsters called the Calamities of the Sea. Leviathan was one such creature.
With the God of Creation's power, a tremendous amount of life force, and his skill in manipulating water, he created an imitation Leviathan.
Kuhaahk!
A giant snake had appeared. It was even larger than Orga or Gainus.
The Leviathan opened its mouth and devoured the Divine Dragon's Breath. Even so, Gainus didn't stop. He continued his assault till the very end.
The fake Leviathan's body began to swell. Despite that, it continued to devour Gainus's attack until it finally reached him.
Bam!
The Leviathan devoured half of Gainus's body.
What if Gainus was done in by that attack?
It would be a tragedy.
'No!'
Eder saw that and clutched his head.
However...
The Leviathan's body continued to expand.
'No way.'
Eder immediately cast a spell.
Bone Scythe!
A giant white scythe appeared in the water. It was so large that the top of it protruded from the surface of the lake.
'Go!'
Swish!
The scythe cleaved through the water and pierced the Leviathan's body.
Bam!
It poked a hole through its body. And through that hole, sparkling energy flowed out.
What if a hole was pierced through a dike that was about to overflow?
Boom!
The Leviathan blew up.
Then, a giant water pillar surged from the lake, and the Divine Dragon's energy spread outwards.
A portion of it left a giant hole in the ground, while the rest pierced through the surface of the lake and damaged the cliff.

The strong currents swept away the dead monster corpses.
Eder hid behind his undead underwater monsters in an attempt to keep himself from getting swept away. However, Kang Oh and Sara were nowhere to be seen.
Once the water calmed down, Eder immediately checked Gainus's condition.
There was no way he would be in good condition.
Exhaustion could clearly be seen on his long face, and there were vivid teeth marks on his body, courtesy of the Leviathan.
Red shards of light kept flowing out of those wounds!
Gainus slowly closed his eyes, and then his giant body fell to the ground.
'I need to heal...'
The Legendary Healer, Eder, approached Gainus's body. Where exactly was Kang Oh and Sara?
* * *
Leviathan's Fury.
Creating a fake Leviathan had taken a lot out of Orga too. He had no more energy left.
That's why he couldn't do anything, despite seeing how powerful the Leviathan had been, and how weak Gainus had become.
'Damn it!'
Orga sensed how much life force he had left. However, it was only coming in at the speed of a small stream.
He had probably drained too much life force by using Leviathan's Fury, killing about half of the humans. The rest of them didn't have much life force to spare either.
'But if I squeeze out just a little bit more.'
He could restore his body with just a little bit of life force. Then, it wouldn't be difficult to kill the groggy lizard.
However...!
Something strange happened.
The space before him opened up, as if someone were undoing a zipper, and out came a dark red winged demon. He was accompanied by a Yuki-Onna wearing fur clothes.
It was Kang Oh and Sara.
Abyss Transfer was truly an amazing move. It could even be used underwater, and Sara could travel through it too.
It probably worked because the system recognized Sara as a demon sword that was equipped to him.
In any case...!
Kang Oh was quick on the uptake.
He immediately realized that Orga wasn't in good shape after using Leviathan's Fury, and had used Abyss Transfer to close the distance.
As you can see, this is the result! Jackpot!
'This is my best chance to take him out!'
He was all in!
Kang Oh pulled out an item from his inventory. It was an S-rank ring called Barias's Despair.
He had bought this to use in his fight against the Mayanes. It was incredibly expensive, but it had an incredible effect to match.
'No!'
Orga didn't know much about Kang Oh. But Jigon had told him about his ability to nullify their immortality.
[Be careful of his jet-black greatsword that radiates darkness.]
However, that jet-black blade was being wielded by the demon in front of him.
'I don't want to die! No, I can't die!'
He mustered up as much energy as he could and swung his fist. Was he feeling desperate? It was quite a strong punch.
Kang dodged his fist before using Gluttony.
Then, Sara intervened.
Summon Glacier!
Orga's snake tail began to freeze.
'Grr!'
Orga kept drawing as much power as he could, and clumps of ice fell from his tail.
Kang Oh used that opportunity to use Gluttony.
Ubist 's darkness devoured the black gem ring.
[Demon Sword Ubist has consumed Barias's Despair.]
[It is an S-rank item.]
[Entering Gluttony mode.]
[For 30 minutes, the demon sword and your character's abilities are tripled.]
[You may use two of the consumed item's abilities.]
[You may use 'Mark of Despair' and 'Summon the Incarnation of Despair'.]
The demon released jet-black energy.
'Spacullar! Save me! Hurry!'
Spacullar. That was the name of Orga's giant worm.
Sensing danger, Orga had called Spacullar, the being which stored his life force.
'Hurry, hurry!'
In order to buy as much time as possible, Orga swung his tail, his fist, and the bow in his left hand.
However...!
Kang Oh had no intention of giving him any more time. That was why he had used Gluttony.
He would deal with him as quickly and as cleanly as possible!
Demon Sword Blood was coated in blood red energy.
Blood Emperor!
[You have used Blood Emperor.]
[Half of your HP has been consumed.]
[For 30 seconds, your attack power, speed, and life steal are increased significantly.]
[Unleashing an Emperor's Strike.]
The blood red energy that coated his blade shot forward.
Boom!
The Emperor's Strike struck Orga in the center of his chest.
The blood red energy ate away at his chest, and consumed the countless shards of light that spilled from his body. It was like a starving swarm of red ants.
'Not yet.'
He swung Ubist and Blood one after another.
Abyss Claw, Fresh Blood Wave, Tempest Tiger!
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Sara helped him too.
Yuki-Onna's Breath!
Ice Fang!
Frozen Sphere!
She released cold energy from her mouth and hands.
Orga no longer had the strength to resist, so he curled himself up. That was the best he could do in his current condition.
Dragon's Fury!
A gray vortex raged around Kang Oh's body, completely devouring Orga.
Bam!
Orga's body shook.
Countless bubbles and shards of light surged.
At that moment..
Kuwaaahk!
One side of the cliff broke, and a giant worm's head popped out. Spacullar, the one Orga had desperately called for, had finally arrived.
It immediately charged at Kang Oh. He could see spheres all over its body where people were trapped inside. There were a ton of them in there!
'So that's what provides him with life force. But it's already too late.'
Kang Oh rushed forward and thrust Demon Sword Ubist into Orga's body.
Stab!
Abyss Predator!
Darkness coursed through Orga's body, causing his insides to shake.
'N-No! I don't want to die!'
Orga extended his hand and attempted to grab onto Kang Oh, but it was no use.
'Die!' Kang Oh dragged Ubist downwards, his blade still lodged within Orga's body.
Bam!
Orga's body split in half, releasing the darkness contained within.
The world was covered in black.

Advent of the Mindfire Mage: A Challenger's Return Story
Updates MWF, 6PM EST! Not so long ago, a story was posted on Webnovel, one that fired my imagination unlike almost anything before or since. It was known as The Challenger's Return: Rebirth of the Rainbow Mage. However, 150 chapters in, the author NightWind, who I'd personally interacted with and begun to consider a true friend, vanished from the internet without a trace. And so, I have acted upon my fervent desire to pick up his torch, to refuse to let his world that stirred such passion in me die. Read below about my own take on The Challenger's Return. Was Lheticus summoned to the Tower by chance, or by choice? Either way, with the new power he wins, he won't hesitate to burn anyone who seeks to keep him from his true love to cinders, and with a unique ability of the highest potential, he may just succeed, but he's just as likely to burn himself down. And as it turns out, the latter case may be woven into his very destiny...can that destiny be changed? And if it is, what will be the repercussions for the Tower? (You may want to read a fair amount of the original Challenger's Return before starting this, as, particularly in the early chapters, many things that are laid out in it are glossed over in this story.)
