《Everlasting》Chapter 1160 Ta Luotian

After sending his opponent flying, Chen Feng pressed the attack. By utilizing the Longevity Wings, Chen Feng’s speed became so fast that it shocked even Chen Feng himself. However, his attack missed.
On the War Immortal’s body was a line, the wound left by the Longevity Wings’ previous attack. But it was not a serious wound.
Next up, the two of them exchanged blows, both sides relying on their speed to attack each other. The War Immortal’s Great Ripper Sword Technique was truly formidable. Upon landing on Chen Feng’s body, his attacks would leave rip-like marks on his suit of armour. This was the effect of the Great Ripper Sword Technique. Its sword energy and sword will contain a violent power of devastation, capable of ripping apart almost everything.
On the other hand, Chen Feng held the Longevity Shield in his left hand and the Longevity Sword in his right hand. With the support of the Longevity Wings, Chen Feng displayed a sword technique that seemed unfathomable and it actually succeeded in stopping the War Immortal’s attacks.
Thanks to the suit of combat armour formed from the fragment of the Great Wilderness Ding, Chen Feng had a big advantage in the battle. His defence was far superior compared to his opponent’s defence. But while the Longevity Sword Technique was a formidable technique, Chen Feng’s combat skill and experience in battle was inferior compared to the War Immortal. However, it was enough for this all-out battle to tilt in favour of Chen Feng.
Sha!
A crack appeared on Chen Feng’s suit of armour again. Thanks to the protection of the armour, Chen Feng was unscathed, but the War Immortal was nearly stabbed by Chen Feng’s attack. Due to that, his combat power became affected slightly.
Explosion of Wind and Lightning!
Spiralling Sword Beam!
The movement speed of Chen Feng’s sword became increasingly fast and his sword moves became increasingly formidable. In the end, the Longevity Wings on his back abruptly extended to sweep the War Immortal up. The War Immortal had to struggle to extricate himself. But by the time he succeeded, Chen Feng’s sword had arrived.
“It’s over.”
The power behind this sword attack from Chen Feng suddenly grew several times stronger to decapitate the War Immortal.
“It’s time to rest for a while.” The time spent fighting the War Immortal was not that long. However, this opponent had given him a great deal of pressure.
A stream of light descended, gathering in Chen Feng’s palm to transform into a shimmering talisman. Sending his divine sense into it, Chen Feng saw its contents.
The Great Ripper Sword Technique, not bad. Chen Feng kept the talisman. He became utterly still. In actuality, though, his sea of wisdom was replaying the earlier battle. He replayed every part of the battle very slowly, slow enough for him to study and comprehend the concepts, correct decisions and mistakes that he made in the battle.
This time, he was able to rest for one year. For Chen Feng, that was a lot.
…
In the Six Daos Sword Faction, Tun Ri and the others had long since lost their patience. It was true that they had received the Longevity Tower’s secret vocal transmission. However, it had been a long time since then and they were having a hard time waiting on. The Dark Kirin had already led his subordinates out to explore around. After a series of discussions, Tun Ri and the others also took turns to explore around.

By then, there were already over 100 cultivators from the Longevity Clan staying in the Six Daos Sword Faction, waiting for Chen Feng. Additionally, that number continued to climb. Most of them were from the Boundless Corps. For Tun Ri’s group, this was a good thing. Only, they were less trustful of those cultivators from the Longevity Clan who came from elsewhere. That was the reason behind their concern.
News that Chen Feng was in the Six Daos Sword Faction had already quickly spread throughout the Celestial Longevity Plane. Only, those with ill-intentions had yet to appear.
“The other party is not making a move. They must be gathering their strength. I feel like our strength is somewhat weak. It is not enough to protect Young Master. We should go invite an expert over,” Tian Wu suggested.
“What are you afraid of? Given our current level of strength, we can stop even a half-step Gold Immortal,” Tun Ri said with a somewhat displeased tone. Still, a concerned look could be seen in his eyes.
“I’m worried that it won’t be just one half-step Gold Immortal. Technically speaking, a half-step Gold Immortal is not a real Gold Immortal. For them, taking action is not considered a violation of the rules,” Da Feng said, shaking his head.
“Where is the kid? Where is Longevity Celestial?” Suddenly, all the cultivators from the Celestial Longevity Plane who were within a radius of billions of li from the Six Daos Sword Faction heard a majestic voice speaking up. The voice kept sweeping forward, only targeting cultivators from the Celestial Longevity Plane. The others were simply incapable of hearing it. Naturally, that was not the case for those with equally formidable cultivation bases. One such example was the Dark Kirin, who was in the middle of making friends around the area. He was able to sense the voice.
A half-step Gold Immortal has come to raise a ruckus. I wonder, when will Chen Feng come out? Although the Dark Kirin was not worried about Chen Feng, he decided to go investigate the situation.
…
Tun Ri and the others looked at each other. Some revealed concern while others sneered.
“A half-step Gold Immortal stepped forward so quickly. Additionally, he is also a member of the imperial family. What a fool!” Tun Ri scoffed.
“It’s all for the Longevity Scripture. If not for their feelings of reservation, even Gold Immortals would take action.” Da Feng snickered.
“Back then, if these people had any feelings of reservation, Young Master would not have to drift around for one million years. This time, with Young Master’s appearance and the emergence of the Longevity Scripture, who knows how many people would end up dying?” Tian Wu said coldly.
“No matter how many comes, we’ll kill them all!” A young man with a frosty expression said with a menacing voice. He sported a handsome face, but his expression was even colder than Tian Wu’s expression. The killing energy that burst out from his body all of a sudden gave others a suffocating feeling.
“Sha Xian, if your main body is here, maybe. But this body of yours is just a clone. It is still unable to deal with a half-step Gold Immortal,” Tun Ri said bluntly.
The young man known as Sha Xian was like Tun Ri and the others, one of Chen Feng’s former bodyguards. Unlike them, however, Sha Xian was neither an extra-terrestrial creature nor a member of the imperial family. He was just a very ordinary person from the Celestial Longevity Plane. Back then, he wasn’t even a cultivator. Later on, Boundless found him and taught him some cultivation techniques.

Like the other cultivators under Boundless’ tutelage, Sha Xian had displayed a monstrous talent for cultivation from the very beginning. Cultivating the dao of killing, Sha Xian thus possessed a highly murderous nature. Later, he even surpassed Tun Ri and the others, advancing to the half-step Gold Immortal stage.
“My main body is still in cultivation retreat, but he will be able to come out soon enough. Soon, Sha Gui and Sha Shen will be incapable of holding back their impulses to come as well. Since the day Young Master went missing, we have rarely gone out to kill people. Instead, we have been constantly nurturing our killing intent. Tsk, tsk, I won’t be able to hold back much longer.” As Sha Xian spoke, red light glinted across his eyes and Tun Ri and the others felt pressured.
“Tsk, tsk. You guys are crazy.” Tun Ri pursed his lips to the side.
“Alright. Since someone is trying to stir up trouble, we’ll go check it out. Our Boundless Corps has never shown fear towards others,” Da Feng said with a smile.
“Well said! We’ll go fight them!”
Everyone was filled with confidence and their courage soared. But when they saw the other party, they found that the situation was a little different than they had expected.
Ta Luotian, a member of the imperial family with very pure genes. His noble status was far greater compared to someone from the branch family like Longevity Brightness. News of Chen Feng had spread throughout the Celestial Longevity Plane, but Ta Luotian had his own reasons for being the first to come and stir up trouble.
Any cultivator who could cultivate up to the half-step Gold Immortal stage was surely not a fool. In the end, it was all because Ta Luotian wanted to rise to a higher position in the Longevity Clan.
If he could find Chen Feng and obtain the Longevity Scripture, there would be hope for him to advance to the Gold Immortal stage. Then, he need not fear the Boundless Corps coming after him. Besides, he was not alone. Behind him was a formidable force.
In this situation, there were those who did not want to take the lead while there were also some who were willing to take the lead. By doing well, those taking the lead would be able to obtain great benefits.
For the sake of his future, Ta Luotian had decided to risk it. He knew. Even if he were to not take action, others would. Not to mention, it would not take long before those people took action.
Ta Luotian was not alone. Why? Because he was born in the Tower Corps. This was the reason why Tun Ri’s group was feeling troubled.
The Celestial Longevity Plane had several great corps that were extremely famous. The strongest there was naturally the Longevity Corps. Only, the Longevity Corps was under the Planar Lord and the various great elders. Generally speaking, unless something major was happening, the Longevity Corps will not take action.
Next up was the Tower Corps and Temple Corps. The ‘Tower’ referred to the Longevity Tower while the ‘Temple’ referred to the Longevity Temple. Although the two corps were very strong, they had many factions within them and their strength was scattered.
On the other hand, the Boundless Corps and Limitless Corps were much more domineering. The Boundless Corps was loyal to Boundless while the Limitless Corps was loyal to Limitless, Chen Feng’s uncle. Just from the name of the two corps, it was clear that the two great corps were their personal armies. The unity within the two corps surpassed that of the Tower Corps and Temple Corps.
Boundless and Limitless. They were blood brothers, the direct bloodline of the imperial family.
In addition, they were many other corps and armies. However, when it came to their fame or strength, those forces were far lacking.
Back to the situation at hand, Ta Luotian’s appearance had alarmed Dao Monarch Hell and the others. Only, they did not immediately reveal themselves. They wanted to see how the situation would develop.
Tun Ri and the others had yet to arrive. Back then, they had left tens of people there. Some were Dark Soulsmen while the others were the soldiers from the Boundless Corps. Their leader was Heavenly Immortal Brightmoon. These people merely cast an indifferent look at Ta Luotian before going about their own business, ignoring him.
Seeing that, Ta Luotian grew somewhat enraged. He jerked his head slightly and two people immediately walked out from behind him. With an air of arrogance, they appeared before one of the soldiers and asked him, “Where is Longevity Celestial?”
The soldier, only a mid-level Heavenly Immortal, swiftly responded, “Where did this barking dog come from?”
“Ha ha ha ha!”
The others all burst into laughter. As a result, killing intent flashed across the eyes of the two high-level Heavenly Immortals. One of them reached out with his hand to grab the soldier.
A full moon suddenly emerged, leaving a series of after-images in the air. With a flash, the soldier disappeared from the two high-level Heavenly Immortal’s sight.
“So, it’s Heavenly Immortal Brightmoon. How are you?” Normally, upon seeing Heavenly Immortal Brightmoon, these two would have acted politely. At that very moment, however, with Ta Luotian behind them, they grew arrogant.
“Junior Brightmoon greets Senior Ta Luotian.” Brightmoon performed a salute.
“Ha ha! I hear that you fellows have found Young Master Longevity Celestial. I wonder, where is he now? Can you invite him out for a meeting?” A smile appeared on Ta Luotian’s face.
“I don’t think there is a need to trouble senior for this matter,” Brightmoon replied calmly.
“We’re all members of the Longevity Clan here. Seniority wise, I can be considered as Longevity Celestial’s clan uncle. I am here out of concern for him. But what is this display from you all? Do not forget, I am a member of the imperial family. More, I am also a Deputy Commander of the Tower Corps. Does your Boundless Corps have no manners?” Ta Luotian began throwing his weight around.
A ridiculing look flashed across Brightmoon’s face. “No need to utter so many dignified-sounding but insincere words. We all know what’s going on here. Young Master Longevity Celestial’s affairs is not something that you can participate in. If you do not want to die, hurry up and leave and I will pretend as though I have never seen you fellows.”

In Pursuit of Bark's Finest
On the frontiers of transhumanity’s expansion into the galaxy thousands of light years from the light of Sol, things can get rather chaotic. There are countless millions of nascent interstellar nations securing their interests, pirate ships prospering off plunder and deniable mercenary work, dissidents setting up their own civilizations, and other groups all trying to push an agenda. When these groups crash into each other, the results can become extremely messy and convoluted. Recently, a frontier nation calling itself the Red Star Union has found itself at the focal point of one such complication. A freighter under their protection has been sabotaged, hijacked in interstellar space, and robbed of its cargo. This would be bad enough even if all it were carrying was luxury goods, but the freighter Nebula Plow was carrying more than just normal trade goods. Indeed, her cargo of Non-Orientable Wormholes for use in starship power plants was both very expensive and very, very dangerous. Now the Red Star Union has to worry about a pirate crew running around with several extra devices capable of converting matter into antimatter with negligible energy cost. With those, the pirates could be capable of inflicting untold damage if allowed to leverage their ill-gotten gains into a stronger position, a possibility the Union finds completely intolerable. Unfortunately, all that the Red Star Union has to go on for evidence is two names; that of the captain, and that of the ship. The Captain is going by the possible pseudonym of Fuller, while the ship is named Bark’s Finest. And thus the orders came down to the Union’s Bureau of Starforce Intelligence: find more information on these pirates, conclusively identify them, and figure out where exactly they’ve gone to ground so that the fleet can crush them before they get established. Of the many agents that the bureau assigned to this mission, one would happen to play an important role: Field Agent Madeline Zargosty. This is her story. This story is entirely pre-written, and will have one chapter released per week. If you want to read it all ahead of schedule and get access to some premium-exclusive bonus content, the entire book is available for purchase; links to the appropriate storefront pages will be posted at the end of each chapter.
