《Everlasting》Chapter 1157 Begin

As expected, some of them were moved.
Seeing the remaining hesitation in them, the mid-level Heavenly Immortal continued, “We were all summoned by the power here. We are all the same! The fact that this kid is not subjected to the lightning attacks must be due to the fact that he has a magic treasure on him. Or do you all think that he is far more important than all of us?”
“Honestly, I would suggest that we just try entering. Who knows? Maybe we can enter. If it is truly because of Chen Feng, now than he is here, the restrictive arrays on the gate should have disappeared.” It was then that the one with the lowest cultivation base there, an Ascendant Immortal, spoke up with a faint voice.
“If so, you can go test it!” the mid-level Heavenly Immortal shouted.
“Hey, my cultivation base may be the weakest here, but that does not mean I’m stupid.”
The cultivators thus began discussing the issue loudly amongst themselves. In the end, though, they were unable to come to a decision. As for the mid-level Heavenly Immortal, he seemingly became annoyed and decided to charge towards the palace gate alone.
Kacha!
A lightning attacked flashed forward and despite giving it his all to block, the mid-level Heavenly Immortal was still sent flying. It was as though he was just a fragile wooden puppet.
Chen Feng, who had been feeling puzzled all this time, grew even more puzzled after seeing that. If he could truly enter, then there was something about him here.
Before coming to an understanding of what was going on, Chen Feng had no intentions of recklessly venturing into the palace.
Only, what happened next disrupted Chen Feng’s plan. A vast an unparalleled force charged out from the palace and everyone there received a message.
“Within two hours, enter the palace. Those who do not, die.”
Everyone there turned to look at each other before turning towards Chen Feng. As for Chen Feng, his eyes flickered for a moment before calming down again.
“Chen Feng, now that it’s come to this, are you still not going to take action?” the half-step Gold Immortal shouted.
“What if I cannot enter as well?” Chen Feng replied.
“None of us here can enter. It has to be you.”
Chen Feng did not reply. Instead, he moved, walking forward before stopping right in front of the palace gate. Everyone was looking at Chen Feng.
The palace was actually not particularly tall, but the mysterious aura it radiated made them feel as though the space inside it was infinite.
“Chen Feng, what else are you thinking about? Do you want us all to die here?” someone shouted.
“What does your deaths have to do with me?” Chen Feng said indifferently.
“Also, don’t disturb me.”
In truth, Chen Feng had already decided to enter. However, he was still trying to figure out the reason as fast as he could.
Could it be due to the Six Daos Sword Codex? However, Dao Monarch Hell and the others should have cultivated the Six Daos Sword Codex as well. Other than that, though, I really can’t think of any other reason.

And then there is this palace. Who built it, and why bring us all here?
As Chen Feng pondered the matter, time ticked by. All the cultivators there grew terribly anxious and their eyes – trained upon Chen Feng – were already on the brink of spraying out fire.
“Brother Chen, if you lead us into the palace, I can give you something.” It was then that Qing Shan spoke up.
And while Chen Feng was feeling displeased at having his thoughts interrupted, he responded, “Oh, what is it?”
“The legacy of Grand Emperor Cyancloud, a Heavenly law.”
“Ha ha! Although I am just a True Immortal, do you think I would care about one Heavenly law? I’ll only say this, 18 Heavenly laws. Additionally, all of them must be high-level Heavenly laws,” Chen Feng said, laughing.
“Not a problem.” Qing Shan agreed, clenching his teeth as he did.
“If you fellows want to follow me in, it’s very simple. Bring out some items. Of course, they need to be able to satisfy me.” Chen Feng then turned to look at the others.
“There is still one more hour left. I hope you fellows can act quickly.”
“Are you trying to take advantage of us here?” someone said with a dissatisfied tone.
“Damn straight! You’re free to reject. When the time comes, just go die,” Chen Feng replied, a smile on his face.
“You’ll die as well!”
“Maybe I can survive.” Chen Feng was very direct in his answer.
“What are you guys spacing out for!” Qing Shan shouted. He had already given 18 Heavenly laws for this.
“Fine. I can give 10 Heavenly laws,” a high-level Heavenly Immortal said with a gloomy face.
“No, I need an Ageless law formed by a half-step Gold Immortal from you,” Chen Feng said, still smiling.
“Impossible!” The cultivator’s face sank and he was quick to refuse.
Those two were on completely different levels. For some, not even 100 Heavenly laws could match the value of one Ageless law.
“If so, there is nothing to talk about here.” Chen Feng pursed his lips and walked to the side.
“Tsk, tsk. There is less than one hour left. Let’s just wait for death, then.”
“Chen Feng, don’t go too far! If you provoke us…”
“If I provoke you fellows, then what? Do you guys want to attack me? Go ahead. Don’t just spout nonsense!” Chen Feng responded nonchalantly.
“I don’t have an Ageless law!” the cultivator finally said, gnashing his teeth.
“That’s easy. Thirty Heavenly laws. By the way, all of them must be high-level laws.”
“Earlier, it’s only 18!”
“That was earlier, this is now.”
In the face of Chen Feng’s blackmail, the cultivator had to bring out 30 Heavenly laws in the end. Seeing that, Qing Shan felt better about himself.
“Chen Feng, you are from the Celestial Longevity Plane while I am from the Celestial Zenith Plane. There is no need to be so extreme about this, no? One should practice self-control. That way, they’ll be room for association in the future.” It was then that a calm-looking fellow stepped forward.

He was also a Heavenly Immortal. In truth, Chen Feng had noticed him long ago, but he never pointed it out.
“Oh, you’re from the Celestial Zenith Plane. When you put it that way, we can be considered as fellow friends,” Chen Feng suddenly said.
“That’s right.”
“Why didn’t you say so earlier? Seeing as how we are both from the Celestial Planes, I only need you to bring out a Divine artifact. How about it? I’m giving you a lot of respect here, no?” A playful look flashed across Chen Feng’s face.
“Next, I need five Divine artifacts. Everyone just needs to bring out one. Let me have a look. Hmm, there’s one quarter of an hour left. Tsk, tsk. The God of Devastation is about to descend.”
“I have a good flying sword here!”
“This is a Skysoar Shuttle refined by a half-step Gold Immortal!”
Immediately, five people – clenching their teeth – put on a happy smile as they brought out some magic treasures.
Tsk, tsk. Unexpectedly, I would be able to get such a bountiful harvest this time. Even if I don’t enter the palace, it won’t matter. Chen Feng smiled.
“You fellows, hurry up! Bring out the good stuff! We no longer have time for this!” The cultivators who had already handed over their items began rushing the others.
“Kid, what kind of items do you want?” the half-step Gold Immortal asked coldly.
“Senior’s cultivation base is the highest here. So, an Ageless law it is,” Chen Feng said smilingly.
“No way.” The half-step Gold Immortal flatly refused.
“Two Divine artifacts.” Chen Feng changed his conditions.
After a series of haggling actions, everyone there – except for the Ascendant Immortals and a few low-level True Immortals – ended up getting extorted by Chen Feng.
“There are only a few more breaths’ worth of time. Chen Feng, hurry up!” someone said anxiously.
“Fellows, pray that I can enter.” Chen Feng knew that he could not delay this any longer and he began moving forward. As expected, even after reaching a certain distance from the gate, no attacks descended upon him. As for the cultivators, they were all in a tense state as they stared at Chen Feng.
Finally, Chen Feng’s hand reached out to press up against the doors of the gate. Seemingly connected to another world, the doors of the gate slowly opened.
Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!
It had only been a small crack, but the cultivators were already incapable of holding back. All Chen Feng saw was a flash as all the cultivators charged into the palace.
Chen Feng, on the other hand, simply snickered as he continued to slowly open the doors, Only after the gate was fully open did he take a large stride inside.
I wonder what is inside? Chen Feng thought.
Having extorted over so many good items, Chen Feng did not feel as anxious as the others. His curiosity and desire to explore had been suppressed. The most urgent matter to him was understanding the cause and effect of what happened.
After entering the palace hall, Chen Feng did not encounter anyone. All he saw was a massive human statue. It was unknown just what materials were used to craft the statue, but its facial features were lifelike. Additionally, it also gave off a special atmosphere.
Glancing at it, Chen Feng found it familiar. After looking it over, he ascertained that this was the patriarch of the Six Daos Sword Faction, Divine Monarch Six Daos.
Seeing the statue of Divine Monarch Six Daos did not pique Chen Feng’s curiosity at all. In his opinion, the fact that he could come here must surely have something to do with Divine Monarch Six Daos. Even if this person were to appear before him, alive, Chen Feng would not feel surprised.
“In two hours, make your way through this stage and enter the next palace hall. Failure, death.” A majestic voice echoed through the palace hall.
Two hours. That’s quite a short time. I wonder, where is my opponent? Chen Feng looked around but found nothing.
“You are from the Six Daos Sword Faction. You may go ahead now.” It was then that the lifeless statue suddenly emitted a wave of divine sense. Next, a gate located at the side of the palace hall opened up. Entering the gate, Chen Feng then made his way through a passageway to enter the second palace hall.
“Does this count as me being lucky?” Chen Feng was the first to pass the stage and a book containing a minor immortal technique appeared in his hand. However, Chen Feng did not even bother giving it a glance before keeping it.
The second person to pass the stage was Duan Shuiliu. Judging by the state he was in, it was obvious that he had gone through a great battle.
When Duan Shuiliu saw Chen Feng, a look of surprise flashed across his eyes, but he said nothing. All he did was nod towards Chen Feng.
The third one to pass the stage was Qing Shan. Seeing Chen Feng, he stepped forward and affably greeted him before inviting Chen Feng to advance together. However, Chen Feng refused. And so, Qing Shan left, following Duan Shuiliu.
This was only the second palace hall. There were more waiting for them.
Watching the two fellows disappear, Chen Feng then secretly nodded to himself. To be able to so quickly pass the stage proved that their combat power was very strong. Likewise, so was their potential.
One by one, more cultivators appeared. Most of them cast dark looks at Chen Feng, but there were a few who smiled at him. Only, there was no way to tell if they were sincere or not.
Note: In the raw, the stage after the Heavenly Immortal stage is the Gold Immortal stage. Raw: ‘金仙’, pinyin: ‘jīn xiān’. However, it is actually short for Ageless Gold Immortal, bit of a spoiler here. That’s why the laws that they form are Ageless laws.

Papercuts to Fell Immortals
Qing Shen is a girl from the counrtyside, forced into a role she never wanted by a Young Master who's infamy is spread throughout the land. As a Cultivator in the path to immortality, Qing Shen has to deal with her own problems as well as the mysteries surrounding her Young Master. Things, however, are not as they seem, and the young girl finds that sometimes the truth is more unbelievable than the lies we often follow. . . . If you want a less hidden-meaning summary: This story is about the struggles of one girl as she tries to become an Immortal. There won't be any meaningful romance, but there will be a plot that spans most of the story, and violence. Oh the violence! I'm not going to say that my ideas are 100% original (because hoo boy are there a lot of Wuxia), but hopefully I can write something entertaining. Guaranteed things: 1. Cliche events with a twist (I mean, it's literally in the description) 2. Important Characters will have backstories and motivations that will hopefully make them not one-dimensional (honestly, that's just normal stuff...) 3. Untrustworthy characters (everyone in the story lies, even me, so don't trust everything you read... but at the same time, trust everything you read) 4. Goodish grammar (not gonna say mine's the best, but it's readable in most cases) 5. Plot! (Everywhere!) 6. worldbuilding? (Should be there somewhere, but I probably won't do blatant info dumps... probably) 7. Character development? (Its there... at some point...) 8. The story gets dark at some points (if you don't like characters dying, then this might not be your cup of tea) 9. A strong main character? (She'll be strong, yes. However, her enemies are also strong. If everyone is strong, then is she no longer strong? My brain hurts) 10. Wow, this list is going on for awhile... uh, Believable and reasonable Action? (I mean, I'm writing for mainly my fun, so if I want a fight scene, then I might craft a scenario to explain it... or I might suddenly throw in a Dragon and call it a day) This story also goes by the same name over on Webnovel.com, but I'm going to be updating it here because, well I want to. They are both by me, and created by me. If there's anything that seems like a copy of another work, then that's just the genre being saturated by everything under the sun.
