《Everlasting》Chapter 1151 Hidden Black Hand

“A high-level Heavenly Immortal. He doesn’t even know where it is, but he is already charging forward blindly. Isn’t this just suicide?” Tun Ri said with a scornful smile.
As expected, even before the high-level Heavenly Immortal could approach the light, the semi-transparent silhouette of the spear pierced his body.
Weng!
The light began retracting to finally disappear into the spear. Meanwhile, the semi-transparent silhouette of the spear grew several notches stronger. Due to that, Chen Feng’s heart gave a thump as a feeling of intense danger gripped his heart.
“Retreat!” Chen Feng bellowed and he rapidly backed away. By then, the massive spear that was standing upright had begun to swing around and the world itself was seemingly split into two.
All within the range of the spear swing – be it Heavenly Immortals or half-step Gold Immortals – were cleaved into two as well.
Add the destructive power of the Divine artifact into the equation, Chen Feng believed that none of them would survive.
Naturally, Chen Feng didn’t exactly have the time to be thinking about that. Even though he had chosen to retreat immediately, it was still somewhat too late. The light that the spear radiated swept towards him.
Sou! Sou! Sou!
Da Feng, Tun Ri and Tian Wu swiftly appeared before Chen Feng to block it. Immediately after that, Brightmoon arrived as well. As for Tie Zhen, he clenched his teeth before rushing forward as well. Unexpectedly, Chen Feng’s figure would flash forward, overtaking them all to become the first amongst them to take on the attack.
The light radiating from the spear had arrived and all of them could sense the Grim Reaper breathing down their necks.
“Young Master!”
Tun Ri and the others howled. However, it was already too late to rush forward again. Every one of them felt their hearts aching to the extreme. That was particularly true for Tun Ri, Tian Wu and Da Feng, and they began burning up their primary essencebound flames.
“Give it your all!”
On the contrary, Chen Feng grew calm. Just as the incoming wave of light was about to make contact with Chen Feng’s figure, a black shield appeared before him to block it.
The spear’s attack, having displayed utter invincibility earlier, struck the shield and was halted. It had failed to cleave apart the shield protecting Chen Feng. Rather, grey-coloured energy streams flowed across the shield’s surface to unravel the spear’s power.
Even so, Chen Feng, who was behind the shield, felt like a normal human struck by lightning. He grunted and blood began flowing out from his seven orifices. Following that, his skin and flesh began rippling outwards. Those were indications that his body was on the verge of blowing up.
“Fire everything!”
Tun Ri and the others unleashed all their power forward. Next, the force behind the spear’s attack blasted the shield and everyone behind it away. All of them flew across a great distance before coming to a halt.
“How dangerous!” Tun Ri’s body grew relaxed even as he nearly fell to the ground. Thankfully, the spear had only unleashed a sweeping attack instead of specifically targeting the shield.
After the danger had passed, the shield clumped up to become a ball before flying into Chen Feng’s body. As for Chen Feng, he had become utterly disfigured. All that was left of him was a pile of wriggling flesh and blood.

“Young Master!” Alarmed, Tun Ri wanted to rush forward.
“Back up! The Young Master is fine!” Da Feng stopped them.
The pile of flesh and blood kept squirming and it swiftly formed four limbs. With every passing blink of the eye, it grew increasingly closer to the human shape. In the end, longevity-type primary energy seeped out and it began taking on Chen Feng’s appearance.
Opening his mouth, Chen Feng sprayed out a bloody breath of air. He had finally recovered.
“That was too dangerous!” Chen Feng took in a lengthy breath. If he hadn’t utilized the fragment of the Great Wilderness Ding during that critical moment, his entire group would have been wiped out.
“Young Master, are you alright?” Da Feng and the others asked, concern in their voices.
“I’m fine. The power of the spear was not concentrated. Additionally, that was not its main body. If it weren’t for that, all of us would’ve died.” Only after he had recovered did Chen Feng realize that the semi-transparent silhouette of the spear had disappeared, leaving a spear-shaped tomb behind. The surrounding clouds of blood floating about was a testament to the earlier carnage. Even half-step Gold Immortals had died earlier. As for the Heavenly Immortals, not a single one of them managed to escape.
“That earlier is the will that the spear has accumulated over the years. Its main body is still inside the tomb. Additionally, I believe there should be more than just a Divine artifact there.” Chen Feng regarded the tomb ahead. However, before he could move forward, two beams of light descended before him, one on the left and one on the right.
“Half-step Gold Immortals!” Everyone there grew shocked and they rushed forward to place themselves around Chen Feng.
“Fellow seniors, what do you want?” Chen Feng asked, not a trace of concern on his face. As the two half-step Gold Immortals were shrouded by a faint golden light, they could not make out their visages.
Chen Feng’s group could sense a formidable atmosphere of oppression. Although there was only one level of difference between a half-step Gold Immortal and a high-level Heavenly Immortal, it was the difference between Heaven and Earth.
“Hand over the shield you used earlier!” A roaring voice rang out from the golden light on the left and Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom churned. There was a desire to obey the other party’s words and hand over the fragment of the Great Wilderness Ding. This was an oppressive power acting directly upon the very nature of life.
It was then that a stream of power entered Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom and he instantly recollected himself. At the same time, the half-step Gold Immortal who spoke up earlier staggered slightly.
“Sorry,” Chen Feng said.
“For a minor True Immortal to be so gutsy. Are you not afraid that we’ll kill you fellows? This is a very simple matter for us,” the half-step Gold Immortal said.
“You can give it a try!”
Tun Ri and the rest were feeling very apprehensive, but Chen Feng maintained a very nonchalant attitude about it. Seeing that, they all felt puzzled. Did Chen Feng have the means to resist half-step Gold Immortals?
But even if he did, it would likely be incapable of changing their present situation. Just because they could resist did not mean that they could defeat them.

“What a bother! They’re just a bunch of little ghosts. So what if they’re from the Celestial Longevity Plane?” The other half-step Gold Immortal said, stretching his hand out to grasp. Instantly, Chen Feng and the others felt their bodies going stiff, incapable of moving anymore.
Boom!
A golden wave of light charged out from Chen Feng’s body to smash aside the opponent’s move, breaking the restraining power in the process. Upon recovering, Tun Ri and the others swiftly unleashed formidable strength and they howled furiously while charging towards the two half-step Gold Immortals.
“Young Master, hurry up and run!”
Everyone knew that they were no match for two half-step Gold Immortals. Their objective was to simply buy time for Chen Feng to escape.
“Your strength is quite good. However, today, I will have you all know the difference between the Heavenly Immortal stage and the half-step Gold Immortal stage,” the half-step Gold Immortal said as he made ready to attack again. It was then that a peculiar smile appeared on Chen Feng’s face. When they saw that, the two half-step Gold Immortals felt somewhat puzzled. At the same time, a foreboding feeling grew within their hearts.
Boom!
Space contorted and a black passageway suddenly appeared above the two half-step Gold Immortals. Next, a black hand emerged from the passageway. With a grasping motion, it grabbed and pulled the half-step Gold Immortal who attacked earlier into the passageway. Then, the black hand appeared again, moving to grab the second half-step Gold Immortal.
“Aargh!”
The half-step Gold Immortal released a cry of terror and he hastily flew far away. Due to that, the black hand missed.
The black hand then retracted and the passageway disappeared. Everything returned to normalcy, but everyone was casting an odd look at Chen Feng. The power of the black hand earlier was at least at the half-step Gold Immortal stage. Unexpectedly, Chen Feng still had this card hidden up his sleeve.
Everyone then breathed a sigh of relief. Turning to regard Chen Feng, they felt him to be an unfathomable expert.
“Young Master, just now?” Tun Ri emboldened himself to ask.
“A friend,” Chen Feng replied coolly.
Seeing Chen Feng display a power capable of capturing a half-step Gold Immortal, no one else dared to look down on Chen Feng. Some of the other half-step Gold Immortals who were thinking of getting their hands on the fragment of the Great Wilderness Ding retracted their gazes. To them, Chen Feng had become someone they should not provoke.
“Fellow friend from the Longevity Clan, we can work together to open up this tomb. Getting the items inside will be up to our own abilities,” a half-step Gold Immortal came forward and said, giving Chen Feng a friendly invitation.
Almost all of the half-step Gold Immortals were shrouded in golden light, seemingly fearful that others would not know what level they were at. Secretly looking around, Chen Feng saw at least 10 half-step Gold Immortals hiding around them.
With a thought from Chen Feng, the fragment of the Great Wilderness Ding re-appeared. It transformed into a suit of armour over Chen Feng and Chen Feng noticed several gazes falling upon him.
Still, Chen Feng ignored them. Revealing a faint smile, he rapidly stepped forward and said, “This place is not just the tomb of one Gold Immortal. Fellows, hurry up and take action. I received news that Gold Immortals might becoming.”
Those random words from Chen Feng caused all the half-step Gold Immortals to make their move. They would rather believe Chen Feng’s words.
“Attack together! Finders, keepers! Everything will be up to luck.”
“Attack!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Compressed golden beams of light shot forward, bombarding the tomb non-stop. Chen Feng’s side was the weakest, but they had numbers on their side. Every wave of attacks was the combined attacks from their group. Thus, they were able to contribute to the endeavour as well.
Finally, the spear-like mountain utterly broke down and a massive spear could be seen standing upright. Streams of draconic energy swirled around it without respite and the roars of dragons rang out everywhere in an overbearing manner.
The spear was the most eye-catching item there. However, there were also some other items there. There was a gigantic dragon corpse covered in golden light. Additionally, there were some other items – also covered in golden light – flying away in every direction.
That was true golden light. Unlike the golden light from the half-step Gold Immortals, this one contained a thick power of agelessness. It felt as though, even after billions of years, those items would not decay away.
Sou! Sou! Sou!
All the cultivators there, be it openly or secretly, took action. Some Heavenly Immortals who were observing from afar furiously charged forward, hoping to snatch one of the items there.
“Go all out!” Chen Feng said, mobilizing the Divine Sun Needle and Primary Spirit Diagram of First Origin. His objective was the clumps of golden light flying around. He did not even bother considering getting the two most valuable items there, the dragon spear and the dragon corpse. There were so many half-step Gold Immortals fighting tooth and nail over it that vying for those two items was suicide.
It was precisely because all the half-step Gold Immortals were aiming for the two items that Chen Feng’s group was able to benefit greatly. They managed to obtain 80% of all the clumps of golden light that were flying around.
Even after all the clumps of golden light had been snatched away, the half-step Gold Immortals were still fighting one another. More, the situation was escalating further, becoming more violent and intense. In just a short period of time, some of them were already suffering from grievous wounds.
“Young Master, will your friend be taking action?” Tun Ri secretly asked.
“It’ll depend on the situation. We need to be careful. Given the situation, if we rush in, we’ll be ripped to bits.” Chen Feng then held his palm out. On his palm was a clump of shimmering golden light. Inside were none other than the treasures that he had snatched over.
1 li = 0.5 km.
Again, 10,000 li or 5,000 kilometres (‘一萬里’, pinyin: ‘yī wàn lǐ’) could mean a great distance in Chinese.
