《Everlasting》Chapter 1126 Plunder

Chen Feng had sensed him the moment he approached. Only, given Chen Feng’s present level of strength, he could not be bothered to care about people like him. He simply gave the cultivator an indifferent glance, saying nothing to him.
“Loose cultivators are loose cultivators, after all. They cannot do anything at all.” Seeing Chen Feng ignore him, the cultivator’s face grew somewhat contorted and his words became even more vicious.
“What did you say? Since you look down on us loose cultivators, then we will just not participate in this mission.”
Before Chen Feng could respond, the other loose cultivators became displeased and they clamoured.
“Not a problem. You loose cultivators did everything you can to join our Six Daos Sword Faction, all for the sake of obtaining a better cultivation environment. If you are unwilling to take on this mission, you fellows can just leave the sect.”
“What? Since joining the Six Daos Sword Faction, I have contributed a lot to the sect. Even the elders would treat me as an equal. Who are you to say something like that?”
“You bunch of mongrels! Are you trying to revolt here?”
There had always been a serious conflict between the formal disciples of the Six Daos Sword Faction and its loose cultivators’ group. At that very moment, due to just a few words, the conflict erupted and escalated to the point of them starting a chaotic fight.
The massive Skysoar Warship was a high-grade magic treasure, fully capable of serving as a battlefield for these True Immortals. In the beginning, the three half-step Heavenly Immortals had wanted to stop the battle. But they were quickly pulled into the battle as well.
Chen Feng, on the other hand, was seated cross-legged there, a smile on his face as he observed the chaos. But while he had no intentions of joining the battle, there were those who would not let him go. Three cultivators attacked him at the same time.
Two were heir disciples while one was a loose cultivator. This battle started due to Chen Feng. Thus, there were also some loose cultivators who did not like him. They wanted to attack Chen Feng under the cover of chaos.
“You fellows don’t know the meaning of death.” Chen Feng’s eyes lit up and his eye technique activated. As a result, the three cultivators who chose to attack Chen Feng were instantly trapped inside an illusion.
The illusion technique swirled around Chen Feng and anyone who entered the affected area would fall prey to the illusion, incapable of extricating themselves.
Eventually a total of 13 cultivators ended up falling prey to the illusion technique and they wandered aimlessly around Chen Feng. Seeing that, no one else dared to approach Chen Feng.
With that, the loose cultivators and formal disciples came to understand just how powerful Chen Feng was. Just the eye technique that he was displaying was beyond anything they could handle.
“Enough!”
A loud shout rang across the warship and every one of the cultivators participating in the battle felt their whole body shudder. Their strength drained away and they could not move anymore.
Chen Feng knew that it was the handiwork of a Heavenly Immortal. He then retracted his illusion technique and the surrounding cultivators were immediately freed from the illusions. After that, they all cast a look of horror at Chen Feng.

Knowing that there were Heavenly Immortals secretly following them, the cultivators there grew troubled. Some who were quick-witted had already figured out that there was something else afoot.
After recollecting themselves, some of them wanted to start a conversation with Chen Feng. However, seeing the glacial expression on Chen Feng’s face, they all backed away.
“What’s so great about him?” Some of them secretly cursed him.
Suddenly, Chen Feng opened his eyes and his gaze swept around while he chuckled. Some of the cultivators who were having other thoughts immediately fell silent. Chen Feng’s gaze was simply too strange. It was seemingly capable of seeing through a person’s heart.
“Chen Qing, please help us if we encounter troubles.” It was then that Chen Feng received the secret vocal transmission from the Heavenly Immortals. The True Immortals there did not know how powerful Chen Feng was, but the Heavenly Immortals who were part of the higher-ups in the sect did.
Back when Chen Feng was undergoing his tribulation, Sword Premier Goldlight and the other authority holders of the Six Daos Sword Faction had discussed Chen Feng’s issue many times before. Eventually, they agreed to have Chen Feng stay in the Six Daos Sword Faction. Only, in order to probe Chen Feng’s cultivation state, they deliberately assigned this mission to Chen Feng.
“Not a problem.” Hearing Chen Feng’s impassive reply, the Heavenly Immortals breathed a sigh of relief.
The Skysoar Warship covered a distance of five million kilometres each day. Even so, it would take a month for them to reach the City of Dead Souls. Naturally, that time can be reduced by having the ship fly at full speed.
Along the way, they encountered three groups of bandits. Although the bandits were very strong, choosing to rob this force from the Six Daos Sword Faction was just bad luck on their part.
During that time, Chen Feng also learned more about the situation in the Immortal Plane. From what Chen Feng could see, given how vast the Immortal Plane was, the number of bandit groups exceeded that of the sects. Those that were strong could even destroy some small sects. Rather, some could even look down on mid-sized sects.
Chen Feng had sensed over a hundred bandit groups along the way. Amongst them, three groups had chosen to attack. This showed that the bandit groups were both arrogant and formidable.
“To think that there are truly bandits who would dare attack our Six Daos Sword Faction.”
“The bandits we encountered earlier are already very strong. They have several high-level True Immortals. In this Immortal Plane, they can already be considered as powerhouses.”
“Humph! After meeting our Six Daos Sword Faction, they’ll die all the same! I’m personally hoping to meet even more bandits. A trip outside the sect is rare. No matter what happens, I must enjoy myself.”
“Don’t be careless. I have heard that some of the stronger bandit groups have Heavenly Immortals. They are not afraid of sects like us.”
“You’re exaggerating. I don’t believe it.”
The ones speaking were the heir disciples who would rarely leave the sect. As for the loose cultivators who had to travel around much, they secretly shook their heads. If they were to truly encounter formidable bandits, the fact that they had 100 True Immortals here would not help.

Chen Feng shook his head as well. He could already sense a formidable aura up ahead.
“Eh! That’s strange, why is there mist up ahead? I have been through this place before. This should be a barren land.”
“Careful, I sense something amiss in front,” one of the half-step Heavenly Immortals said.
“It’s bandits. They have eight half-step Heavenly Immortals on their side,” Chen Feng suddenly interjected. His words shocked them all and they immediately grew anxious.
“For real?” one of them asked gingerly.
“Eight half-step Heavenly Immortals and 130 True Immortals. There is no mistaking it. The mist is also not to be underestimated. It is an illusion array.” After saying that, Chen Feng fired out two rays of black light from his eyes. The two rays of black light entered the mist and two booming sounds rang out before the mist dispersed to reveal the bandits hiding there.
“It’s true, there is an ambush! Attack!”
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Lengthy streams of fire, tens of them, shot out from the warship to further disperse the mist and attack the bandits hiding there.
“Smash them to their deaths!”
The warship sped up rapidly and some of the restrictive arrays in its path were smashed apart. Two bandits had been too slow to evade and the warship smashed them to pieces.
“Good!”
Seeing the display of might from the warship, everyone there whooped loudly. Chen Feng was the only one who shook his head.
The surrounding mist rapidly gathered up to form water droplets, which then blew up to form barriers, nets and chains, all formed with the power of water. As a result, the speed of the warship fell. In the end, it became completely stuck inside. The raging flames it fired out failed to do much.
“Who? Who dares stop our Six Daos Sword Faction’s warship?!” The three half-step Heavenly Immortals charged forward, the sword energy they emanated sweeping out in a rampaging manner.
“I don’t care who you fellows are. If you want to make your way through our Soulless Valley, you must leave behind half of your belongings. Hand over the items and we’ll let you go.” A sinister voice rang out and the sword energy that the three half-step Heavenly Immortals released was unravelled by the surrounding water ripples.
“Soulless Valley!”
Everyone there looked at each other. They were feeling somewhat shocked. Soulless Valley was a very infamous bandit group. Boasting of Heavenly Immortals in their ranks, it was a strong bandit group that could act wantonly in the Easternmost Region. They would even rob from disciples of large sects. Additionally, their actions left no traces behind. Due to that, no matter how many times the large sects dispatched their disciples against Soulless Valley, they would fail to deal with it.
Unexpectedly, they would end up encountering Soulless Valley this time.
“So, they’re the bandits from Soulless Valley. Fellow junior brothers, this is a good opportunity! The rewards offered by the sect for them are incredibly high. If we can just kill off a few of them, the contribution points that we will obtain will exceed even the amount we can obtain through this mission.” Some of the cultivators there attempted to boost the morale on the warship.
“The difference in strength is simply too big.”
“What are you afraid of? We have Heavenly Immortals lying hidden on our side. Besides, we are the heir disciples of the Six Daos Sword Faction. Are we going to cower before these third-rate bandits?”
The disciples of the Six Daos Sword Faction chose to charge forward, leaving only a few behind to pilot the Skysoar Warship.
Chen Feng shook his head and his figure flashed forward to re-appear outside as well. Wielding the Immortal Slaughter Sword, he swiftly swung to cleave apart layer after layer of water ripples. At the same time, two cultivators also fell to his move.
The battle had begun. After Chen Feng killed off the two bandits, several more bandits charged towards Chen Feng. There were two half-step Heavenly Immortals amongst them. It would appear that they had realized how strong Chen Feng was.
Dashing about, Chen Feng swung his sword again and again and the bandits besieging him were slain.
“Not good! They have an expert on their side!” Seeing that, the faces of the bandits from Soulless Valley sank sharply. They had not expected such a formidable character to be amongst the group that they were targeting.
As the fight had begun, Chen Feng would not hold back. Stepping forward, he unleashed his sword techniques to kill off several of the bandits in but the blink of an eye.
“Enough with your arrogance! I’ll teach you a lesson!” Following the loud voice, a multi-coloured stream of light descended from above to explode with a booming sound above Chen Feng. Next, the multi-coloured light enveloped Chen Feng.
“This is the Multi-coloured Boltlight Shroud. I had to spend a great deal in order to get this item. It can even entrap a Heavenly Immortal for some time. Kid, just behave yourself and stay there.”
The bandits’ Heavenly Immortal has taken action. Those fellows should be showing up as well, no? Chen Feng was secretly smiling.
The thought had only just flashed across Chen Feng’s mind when the hidden Heavenly Immortals on the Six Daos Sword Faction’s side attacked. Two Heavenly Immortals rushed forward to attack one Heavenly Immortal. This instantly changed everything. By Chen Feng’s estimate, if there were no other variables, the Heavenly Immortal from Soulless Valley would surely end up dying.
Chi! Chi! Chi!
Sword light kept slashing and bombarding the Multi-coloured Boltlight Shroud entrapping Chen Feng and it did not take long before it was cut in half. Chen Feng then stepped forward, the sword in his hand swinging out to kill two more bandits.
“It can indeed entrap Heavenly Immortals, but only for a very short time.”
After killing off 30% of the bandits there, Chen Feng stopped attacking. Instead, his divine sense spread far into the distance, with strands of his soul flame mixed within it. Due to that, the surrounding water droplets were swiftly evaporated.
Oh, there is still someone there. Chen Feng’s eyes lit up and his figure flew after the other party. However, the other party transformed into a black shadow, which then elongated through space to become a fine line. Next, the fine line disappeared without a trace, the other party along with it.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Living as a Demon
Jonathan was living the life of a normal human male in modern-day society, until he was rudely awakened one night by a summoning circle that ripped him out of his reality and dumped him into a new world filled with magic, demons, and…mouthy young orphan girls?! Now Jonathan must navigate the trials of playing guardian to a preteen, learning to unlock his inner demon, and somehow managing to find a dang pair of pants! Welcome! I'm E.O. Tenkey; thank you for considering Living as a Demon, my third released work here on Royal Road (following Not a Manga and Mr. Familiar)! Let's set some expectations, shall we? • Not much hard profanity (chapter 1 is the exception!)• Human MC! Our protagonist is a bona fide homo sapiens. Which is not to say there won't be demons, demonic powers, and what-have-you, but this isn't some grimdark exploration of the life and times of a nihilistic, amoral killing machine.• Slice of life. My previous works always ended up there, so might as well get ahead of the curve!• Weekly updates, and a completed story: I will post a single chapter per week on Wednesdays until the story is complete (extra chapters are rare, but do happen).
