《Everlasting》Chapter 1108 Straight Ahead

While others chose to fly as fast as they could, Chen Feng and Patron Mountriver advanced on foot. And even though they appeared slow, each step would bring them between hundreds to thousands of li forward. Everywhere they went, any valuable spiritual herbs or treasures would be snatched up.
Sou! Sou!
Two beams of bloody light shot towards Chen Feng and Patron Mountriver. It was two blood fiends, stronger compared to the ones they had encountered earlier. These two had hidden their auras, waiting for the opportune moment to attack.
Shua!
Chen Feng waved his hand to fire out a beam of devastating sword light. The blood fiend did not even have the chance to let out a cry before the sword light incinerated it.
The token on Chen Feng’s waist shook slightly and 50 contribution points appeared on the token.
At the same time, Patron Mountriver also managed to kill off the other blood fiend. However, the space then shook and countless tentacles abruptly emerged, sealing up the surrounding space in the blink of an eye. Every one of the tentacles became like steel needles to stab towards Chen Feng and Patron Mountriver.
“A vengeful spirit.” Patron Mountriver’s face sank.
Chen Feng swung out with the sword in his hand and the light of devastation spread out in circles around him. At the same time, the number of contribution points in his card swiftly rose.
“One thousand.” Chen Feng smiled. That sword move earlier had killed off the surrounding vengeful spirits.
“A top-grade immortal sword!” Seeing the sword in Chen Feng’s hand, Patron Mountriver revealed a look of envy.
It was the Immortal Slaughter Sword. This killing-type immortal sword was more valuable compared to most Immortal-tier treasures.
In truth, thanks to Chen Feng, the Immortal Slaughter Sword had already levelled up to the pseudo-Divine tier. In order to not attract the attention of others, though, Chen Feng had utilized a secret technique to suppress it to the top-grade Immortal tier. Even so, it was still something beyond the reach of these loose cultivators.
Seeing Chen Feng wielding a top-grade Immortal artifact, Patron Mountriver, who was feeling envious, also grew more confident. This killing-type sword was the counter to these yin-type creatures.
“How unexpected. Even though there is an endless stream of cultivators coming in here, there could still be so many yin-type creatures here. A pity, there are not many spiritual herbs and divine objects.” The two of them had already covered a distance of half a million kilometres. On the way, they also killed off a high number of blood fiends and vengeful spirits. However, with the exception of their increasing contribution points, they did not encounter anything else that were actually of use.
There was no telling just how big the Chaos Battlefield was and there were many yin-type creatures dwelling there. Rather, there were many places in the Chaos Battlefield that even Heavenly Immortals would be incapable of venturing into. More, they had yet to even encounter those from the Demon Plane and Nether Plane.
Wielding his sword with one hand, Chen Feng moved forward in a carefree manner. Patron Mountriver, on the other hand, had first revealed delight. Then, it turned into a look of seriousness. In the end, it turned into one of dread.
A 10-zhang-tall bone demon suddenly burst out from the ground and blue-coloured flames burned across the surface of its body. A vortex spun within each of its eyes and it brandished a blade. Upon its emergence, the formidable aura that it unleashed forced Patron Mountriver to give ground. This bone demon was very powerful and Patron Mountriver was simply no match for it.

Chen Feng, though, merely slashed out once and the huge bone demon instantly fell apart. Even the wispy flame of life within it was instantly extinguished.
Before Patron Mountriver could even breathe a sigh of relief, two more bone demons emerged from the ground. At the same time, tentacles appeared from the surrounding space, the handiwork of several formidable vengeful spirits.
“Senior Brother Chen, aren’t we too far in? We should hurry up and leave.” Patron Mountriver’s face turned somewhat pale. If he had come here alone, he would have died long ago.
“No rush,” Chen Feng replied, the sword in his hand swinging out non-stop and wave after wave of sword beams swept out. No matter how many enemies there were, all would be sliced apart.
Chen Feng had accumulated over 10,000 contribution points. Patron Mountriver, who was just following Chen Feng, also managed to accumulate over 1,000 contribution points. Experiencing both dread and delight, the expression on his face kept changing.
This level of danger was practically negligible for Chen Feng. If it weren’t for the fact that he was looking after Patron Mountriver, Chen Feng would not have even bothered to take action against these yin-type creatures. Chen Feng’s objective was the formidable cultivators from the Demon Plane. Better yet, members of the Demon Plane’s imperial family. Chen Feng wanted a more complete version of the Demonic Heavengorging Art.
Following the increase in Chen Feng’s cultivation base, he grew increasingly desirous towards the Demonic Heavengorging Art. As someone who possessed the Chaos Constitution, Chen Feng could devour and refine everything in the universe. And while the Heavengulping Absorption Technique was also a Heaven-defying and domineering technique, it was somewhat lacking in the demonic attribute. Chen Feng wanted the Demonic Heavengorging Art to make up for that. With the combination of both the Demonic Heavengorging Art and Heavengulping Absorption Technique, and the Chaos Constitution, Chen Feng was confident that he could advance upon a completely different path. For his goal of carving his way back to the Celestial Longevity Plane, Chen Feng would have to go farther in his path of cultivation. He had to rise to a higher realm.
Back then, despite its might, the Longevity Tower had still nearly been destroyed. Chen Feng did not wish for that to happen ever again. Thus, he needed to become even stronger.
Chen Feng had a feeling that there were some formidable existences within this place. He may be able to find what he was looking for.
More and more yin creatures fell to Chen Feng, In the end, a thick killing intent emerged from his body to vault skywards. It was such that even those that were millions of li away would be able to sense it.
Patron Mountriver was left gaping. No, he had nearly fainted. Even though he had known that Chen Feng was very strong, he did not think that he would be this unbelievably strong.
This was not the kind of power that a True Immortal should have. Was he hiding his strength? When he thought of that, Patron Mountriver’s eyes lit up only to quickly fade away. At times, it would be for the best to feign ignorance so as to avoid having a calamity fall upon one’s head. This was fine. There was no need to say anything. More, he was able to benefit as well.
After making up his mind, Patron Mountriver then calmed down.

Chen Feng was fighting against two Nether Generals. The two Nether Generals were very strong. Their bodies were completely encased in thick bone armour with quaint patterns on their surface. They wielded battle lances made from white bones and blue-coloured flames burned within their eyes. Every move from them was incomparably ghost-like while containing profound grand dao laws and the will of the nether.
Patron Mountriver, on the other hand, was hiding as far away as he could. Opponents at this level were not the kind of existences that he could approach. One careless mistake and he would end up dying to just the shockwaves from their battle.
The strength of these two Nether Generals is already close to that of the Heavenly Immortal stage. By the standards of nether cultivators, they are probably either Nether Overlords or Nether Deities. And yet, they are still no match for Senior Brother Chen. Could Senior Brother Chen be a Heavenly Immortal? Patron Mountriver wondered.
Chen Feng wielded the Immortal Slaughter Sword and nothing else to suppress the two Nether Generals. After several clashes, the sword in Chen Feng’s hand swiftly streaked out and a Storm of Sword Beams surged forward. As a result, the two Nether Generals’ durable bony bodies were shredded apart.
Chen Feng then beckoned and two clumps of blue-coloured nether flames flew into his grasp, where they fused as one. This clump of nether flames was the foundation of the Nether Generals, their essence. For any other person, attempting to absorb the nether flames would bring about a great deal of problems.
For Chen Feng, on the other hand, the clump of blue-coloured flames was a very good supplementary item. Chen Feng’s soul flame had already advanced to the Longevity Flame realm. In order to advance again, he would need to devour even more soul flames.
“Senior Brother Chen, congratulations on defeating the Nether Generals.” Only after the battle was over did Patron Mountriver step forward.
Chen Feng nodded. He was feeling somewhat bored. Nether Generals at this level could not give him any sense of pressure at all. He had not even displayed one tenth of his strength earlier.
“We managed to gain quite some harvest along the way. It is time we find a place to rest for a bit,” Chen Feng said smilingly.
Hearing that, Patron Mountriver breathed a sigh of relief. Although he had not been participating in the fights that happened during the past few days, the pressure he’d had to endure was in no way a breeze.
Truth be told, what he wanted to do the most was to leave this Chaos Battlefield, return to the Six Daos Sword Faction and cultivate with peace of mind. He already had enough contribution points to purchase some of the items he needed.
Chen Feng swiftly found a cave. After resting for 10 days, they set forth once more. Everywhere they went, no matter what kind of creatures were obstructing him, all would fall to Chen Feng.
Even a blood fiend at the Heavenly Immortal stage ended up dying to Chen Feng. In the end, Patron Mountriver lost his composure again and began asking Chen Feng to stop advancing.
Chen Feng ignored Patron Mountriver. Finding opponents that could give him some pressure had not been easy. No matter what happened, he must not retreat. Besides, the more of those blood fiends there were, the better. The Blood Mustering Bead was still waiting to break through.
After Chen Feng finished off a high number of Nether Generals, the cultivators from the Demon Plane finally appeared. Moreover, this was an entire team of them. At the same time, Nether Generals also appeared to blot out the sky.
The carnage that Chen Feng unleashed had finally brought about a counter attack from the other party. Seeing this, Chen Feng’s face took on a somewhat serious look. This time, he had to face hundreds of enemies. Even a Heavenly Immortal would have a headache when facing such a situation. As for Patron Mountriver, he became so terrified that his whole face had turned pale.
“When did such a formidable disciple appear in the Six Daos Sword Faction? Friend, what is your name?” The other party did not immediately attack. Perhaps, they wanted to wait for even more cultivators from their side to appear.
“How do you fellows know that I am a disciple of the Six Daos Sword Faction?” Chen Feng asked, smiling. He did not appear panicked in the slightest.
“Senior Brother Chen, it’s time we leave. We need to leave.” Seeing Chen Feng show no desire to run away, Patron Mountriver could not stop himself from saying.
“You want me to run away?” Chen Feng was quick to respond.
“Of course. The other party is simply too strong. We are simply no match for them.” Patron Mountriver was so terrified that he felt the urge to simply cry.
“I can indeed run away, but you will be in trouble, then,” Chen Feng said, chuckling.
“… … …”
“The two of you have the tokens belonging to the Six Daos Sword Faction, but the moves you two displayed are clearly not that of the Six Daos Sword Faction. I believe you fellows must be loose cultivators from elsewhere. Honestly, I have never encountered such a formidable loose cultivator before. Even a War Immortal would be incapable of such a feat. You are hiding your strength.” The one who said that was a Demon Plane cultivator and a circular eye appeared on his glabella as rays of light shot forward. He wanted to see through Chen Feng’s cultivation state.
Light flashed from Chen Feng’s eyes as he too, utilized an eye technique. Next, the Demon Plane cultivator backed away, the eye on his glabella having closed up. Blood flowed out non-stop from it.
“The Magic Eyes of Darkness! Just who are you?” The Demon Plane cultivator screamed. Seeing that, the other Demon Plane cultivators and Nether Plane cultivators grew restless, ready to attack at any moment.
“Your cultivation of the eye technique is not good enough.” Chen Feng laughed.
“Arrogant kid! Now that it has come to this, do you still think that you can escape?” a mighty-looking Nether Plane cultivator said. He swung the bone lance in his hand and clumps of nether flames surged forward. Following that, over 100 Nether Plane cultivators swiftly assumed a battle formation and a terrifying aura assailed Chen Feng.
