Looking at it from the outside, the floating island did not appear large. And yet, only a blurry silhouette of its interior could be seen through the barrier. Xue Luosha and the other two had entered, but their entrance did not even leave a single ripple.

Seeing that, Chen Feng knew that the island was something else.

Before Chen Feng could enter, however, the two attendants stepped forward to stop him. Due to that, the killing intent within him grew uncontrollably and the Bedazzling Star Map emerged to envelop the two attendants. At the same time, the Divine Sun Needle worked in tandem with Chen Feng’s eye technique to attack them.

Only, even though the two attendants’ cultivation bases were not as good as Xue Luosha’s cultivation base, they were still high-level True Immortals. It would not be easy to defeat them quickly.

Stars flashed and an ocean bellowed as the two parties kept clashing. The two attendants under Star Monarch Waterway were displaying the power of water. Seeing that, Chen Feng smirked and the Primary Spirit Diagram of First Origin flowed out like a great river. As a result, one of the attendants was swept into the magic treasure.

When the great river targeted the other attendant, he had wanted to evade only for a meteor-like attack to explode upon his back. And so, both attendants were dealt with.

Naturally, the two attendants were only temporarily suppressed inside the Primary Spirit Diagram of First Origin.

The Divine Sun Needle swiftly shot forward, disappearing from Chen Feng’s hand. Next, the barrier of light encasing the island flared with a dazzling radiance. Quickly shrinking down, Chen Feng then followed the Divine Sun Needle through the barrier and into the island.

Back then, Chen Feng had managed to successfully pierce through this barrier of light using the Divine Sun Needle. Unexpectedly, those three fellows would end up entering the island before him. Thinking about that caused Chen Feng to feel somewhat depressed.

Upon entering the island, Chen Feng sensed a chaotic and formidable wave of energy rushing towards him. It felt like that of an exploding planet.

Looks like I came in at the wrong time. Chen Feng no longer felt anxious. He had caught sight of Star Monarch Waterway, Flame Monarch Scarletflow and Xue Luosha. The three of them were joining forces to besiege a cultivator.

Rather, it would be more accurate to say that they had no choice but to work together to fight this opponent.

The cultivator was a withered corpse who fought like a normal, living cultivator. Chen Feng came just in time to see Flame Monarch Scarletflow’s figure sent flying from an attack.

Xue Luosha and Star Monarch Waterway swiftly moved forward to stop the corpse so as to buy Flame Monarch Scarletflow some time.

The three of them could already be considered as leading figures amongst high-level True Immortals. And yet, despite having joined forces, this withered corpse had still managed to beat them to the point of having them cough out blood.

It’s not at the Heavenly Immortal stage, but already infinitely close to it. It could also freely attack. This fellow is several times stronger than the half-step Heavenly Immortal we encountered earlier. Tsk, tsk. For the three of them to be able to last this long, they must have pushed themselves beyond their limits.

Unsurprisingly, Chen Feng’s appearance on the island did not go unnoticed by the trio. While shocked, they also felt somewhat delighted.

They would not be able to stop this withered corpse for much longer and having one more person here meant having more power.

Only, Chen Feng ignored them. Instead, his eyes radiated a brilliant light and his gaze swept through the whole island.

Chen Feng’s figure began flashing about all over the island. Every flash would result in the disappearance of some spiritual trees, spiritual herbs and even strange-looking rocks. Anything that caught Chen Feng’s fancy would immediately disappear.

Seeing what Chen Feng was doing, Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow grew infuriated. Exchanging a glance, they then began moving their battlefield, directing the withered corpse towards Chen Feng.

Chen Feng, who saw that, sneered inwardly. The Longevity Wings flapped and his movement speed rose further. However, the island was very small to begin with. In the end, the withered corpse turned its attention towards Chen Feng. It stopped attacking the trio and fired a punch at Chen Feng instead.

Ripples fluctuated in the air as Chen Feng’s figure moved backwards, seemingly both fast and slow. After taking the attack from the withered corpse, Chen Feng promptly utilized some secret techniques to unravel the power that was assailing his body. Even so, he felt his body on the verge of exploding.

To be able to block an attack from a half-step Heavenly Immortal, I can already be considered as a rare talent, no? Chen Feng smiled wryly and waved his hand to send several Blood Bombs forward. A series of explosions erupted and the entire island was covered in a mist of blood. Next, Chen Feng made use of the opportunity to distance himself from the withered corpse and hide.

What a pure power of blood! Xue Luosha was surprised. Although she was Chen Feng’s partner, she did not think that this minor cultivator from the Longevity Clan could also be proficient in the grand dao of blood.

Truth be told, amongst all the magic treasures in Chen Feng’s possession, the one to level up the fastest was the Blood Mustering Bead. The reason for that was the amount of blood he had managed to absorb along the way. It was simply too great. There was even the blood of a group of True Immortals in the mix.

By then, the Blood Mustering Bead was already a top-grade Immortal artifact. Chen Feng himself wanted to find the corpse of a Heavenly Immortal here in this Death Dimension. By devouring just some of the Heavenly Immortal’s blood essence, the Blood Mustering Bead would have no issues rising to the pseudo-Divine tier.

This savage and overbearing rate of levelling could already be called a shortcut. Naturally, throughout this process, it also had to face dangers that were several times greater compared to the other magic treasures.

After the Blood Bombs came circles of bloody light. Although they were not particularly powerful, they allowed Xue Luosha’s wounded body to swiftly heal up. Even her combat power rose.

“Fellow cultivator, I think we should work together to deal with this withered corpse. What do you think?” Knowing how powerful the Longevity Clan’s techniques were, Star Monarch Waterway finally opened his mouth to ask for Chen Feng’s cooperation.

“As it should be,” Chen Feng said, the Blood Mustering Bead spinning on his palm to send a world-encompassing wave of bloody light charging forward like a tsunami.

“Fellows, I will attack from a distance to restrain its movements. Next up, the rest will depend on the two of you!” Chen Feng then shouted.

Cunning fellow. Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow exchanged glances and they swore inwardly.

When Xue Luosha, who was rapidly regaining her strength, saw the Blood Mustering Bead that Chen Feng brought out, her eyes immediately lit up. She was someone who cultivated the grand dao of blood. Naturally, she could tell what kind of magic treasure that was. Thus, some thoughts began forming within her mind.

And so, Chen Feng attacked from afar while the trio besieged the withered corpse.

Chen Feng did not resort to anything sneaky. While mobilizing the Blood Mustering Bead, he also sent the Chaos Chain out, pushing out as much of the two top-grade Immortal artifacts’ power as he could.

Bang!

Boom!

It was a very intense battle. The withered corpse did not simply possess an astonishing defensive might. It could even utilize various secret techniques. Thankfully, the island they were on had been reinforced with magic before. At any rate, the resulting shockwaves from their battle was enough to devastate even a large planet.

“This corpse is not an actual living person! He has died for who knows how many tens of thousands of years. Right now, it is merely subsisting off what little spiritual imprint that’s left behind. As long as we can hold on for a while longer, its power will dissipate and it will become a true corpse.” Star Monarch Waterway did not forget to give them some words of encouragement.

Chen Feng snickered and the Blood Mustering Bead spun even faster, causing its power to increase by a notch. Xue Luosha was able to fully replenish her strength and the attacks from her battle lance grew increasingly ferocious.

For them, this withered corpse was an extremely valuable treasure. Even a drop of blood essence from it would prove to be infinitely useful.

Star Monarch Waterway’s words were correct. After some time, the withered corpse roared, forcing everyone back. However, the power that it was emanating then disappeared and it sat down on a piece of rock.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

The four who had been sincerely working together just an instant ago, rushed towards the corpse at the same time.

Pa! pa! Pa! Pa!

The Chaos Chain released a thunderous sound before abruptly swirling forward to sweep up the corpse.

Xue Luosha halted but Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow viciously pounced towards Chen Feng.

“Fellows, let’s stop for now.” Chen Feng shouted, his voice containing the Soul Subduing Mantra. Due to that, the two of them felt something shocking their souls and they subconsciously stopped.

“Friend, that is something that belongs to the four of us. It is not something that you can take for yourself,” Flame Monarch Scarletflow said, his eyes narrowing.

“If that’s the case, why were you two in such a hurry to grab it just now?” Chen Feng said smilingly. Gripping her battle lance, Xue Luosha moved to stand beside Chen Feng.

“Two versus two. You fellows will lose.” Star Monarch Waterway said.

“Not necessarily. I may have the ability to kill one or two of you.” Chen Feng then waved his hand and the surrounding bloody light was retracted into the Blood Mustering Bead.

“Friend, looks like you really want to start a fight here.” Flame Monarch Scarletflow was already on the verge of taking action.

“It’s a clear-cut situation. I checked it earlier. We can refine out four drops of blood essence from this withered corpse. We’ll split them evenly, one each. What do you fellows think?” Chen Feng said, smiling.

“I have no objections,” Xue Luosha said. A drop of blood from a cultivator who was infinitely close to the Heavenly Immortal stage was a very good item for her. Value wise, it was even greater compared to most pseudo-Divine artifacts.

Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow were clearly feeling somewhat dissatisfied with it. But the withered corpse was presently in Chen Feng’s hands. Due to that, they had to compromise. The only exception would be if they were confident in their ability to swiftly finish off Chen Feng.

“Not an issue,” Star Monarch Waterway said with a chuckle.

And so, each of them received a gem-like drop of blood essence. Xue Luosha swiftly swallowed it and blood energy surged within her as she began refining it. Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow kept their respective drops of blood into a special bottle. As for Chen Feng, he fused it into the Blood Mustering Bead. Due to that, the Blood Mustering Bead could already level up. The same was true for the nine Poisonous Vileblood Wyrms inside it.

Of course, if he thought it was possible, Chen Feng would have wanted nothing more than to just kill off Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow.

Seemingly having sensed the killing intent from him, Star Monarch Waterway and Flame Monarch Scarletflow secretly exchanged vocal transmissions and they grew even more wary of Chen Feng.

“Everyone here managed to gain something. If so, I’ll bid everyone farewell.” Chen Feng had already scoured the entire island and gained himself quite some harvest earlier.

“Hold it. Where are my two attendants?” Star Monarch Waterway’s face suddenly turned dark.

With a wave of his hand, Chen Feng brought out the two attendants who stumbled to the ground. Even though they had been suppressed inside Chen Feng’s pseudo-Divine artifact, they did not appear particularly wounded.

“Goodbye!” After saying that, Chen Feng leapt upwards. The barrier of light encasing the floating island had disappeared the moment they finished off the withered corpse.

Xue Luosha was right behind Chen Feng. In truth, what she wanted to do the most was to find a place to begin a cultivation session so as to refine the blood essence.

However, this was not a good place to do so.

“Do you think they would follow us?” Chen Feng turned to ask Xue Luosha.

Xue Luosha did not answer. Riding a warship, Star Monarch Waterway and the others had already caught up to them.

“Fellows, this place is dangerous. Why not join hands to explore?” Star Monarch Waterway said loudly.

“I have the same idea.” Chen Feng did not hesitate to simply fly into the warship.
