《Everlasting》Chapter 1064 Blank

Kacha! Kacha! Kacha!
Just as Chen Feng was thinking of checking out what exactly was on the planet, cracks began appearing across the seemingly firm planet. The number of cracks climbed higher and higher and the planet finally blew up with a resounding boom.
The resulting wave of shattered rocks from the explosion carried with it a formidable force and an asteroid group that was situated not far away from the planet was engulfed by the wave of rocks and shredded to pieces.
Chen Feng reached out with one hand to grasp one of the rocks there and sensed a trace of the power of True laws flowing through it.
Looks like the other party is a True Immortal, but why am I sensing danger? Chen Feng stood still, yin yang energy flowing out from his body to block all the incoming rocks and asteroid bits.
When all of the rocks had dispersed, Chen Feng saw a withered-looking old man seated cross-legged in space, a thick atmosphere of vitality emerging from the old man’s body. Furthermore, it was becoming increasingly strong, seemingly on the verge of exploding.
Sii! He’s a high-level True Immortal. He must be in the midst of cultivating a secret technique. Chen Feng sucked in a sharp breath of air.
The person was doing nothing but sit there in space. And yet, the aura he gave off made it feel as though the whole world existed solely for the sake of venerating his existence and his existence alone. As the life force within him grew stronger, his aged body began changing as well. In but a few breaths’ worth of time, he had transformed into a vigorous young man.
Forget it. I should leave first. After pondering for a moment, Chen Feng decided to leave. There was no treasure here. Thus, there was absolutely no reason for him to fight this person. Besides, Chen Feng had never fought against an expert at this level.
Just as Chen Feng was thinking of leaving, however, the cultivator attacked. The cultivator himself did not make any overt movements, but a great hand suddenly appeared out of thin air to envelop their surroundings, sucking in space as it did. For Chen Feng, it felt as though this section of the universe was collapsing.
“I didn’t even offend you, but you choose to attack me?” Chen Feng scoffed and the sword in his hand abruptly jabbed forward. As a result, cracks spread out across the great hand before it blew up with a boom. Next, the Longevity Wings flapped and Chen Feng disappeared in a flash. However, he left behind a hurricane, which swept towards the cultivator who was seated cross-legged in space.
That was a Storm of Sword Beams formed using sword energy. It contained formidable might and an extreme power of destruction.
Just as the Storm of Sword Beams was about to engulf the cultivator, he snapped open his eyes and two rays of light flashed out. As a result, the Storm of Sword Beams immediately broke apart before disappearing.
“Longevity-type primary energy. He is a cultivator from the Longevity Clan. I can devour him.” The cultivator then straightened himself and his body swiftly grew in size, becoming a million zhang tall before shrinking back in record time. Taking a step forward, his body then flashed forward – as though it was in the process of chasing after the stars – to disappear in the blink of an eye.

“I’ve been cultivating for 100,000 years. It’s time I go get some exercise.”
Oh, he caught up? Chen Feng grew surprised. While he was aware that his move earlier was insufficient to stop the other party, the cultivator’s reaction speed had still surprised him.
Should I stop and fight him? Chen Feng wondered.
He had already flown across a distance of five million kilometres, but the young cultivator’s flight speed was somewhat faster. As Chen Feng was still pondering, the space before him shook and the young cultivator appeared before him. Next, countless black-coloured threads flew out from the young cultivator’s body to instantly form a massive cocoon, which wrapped up both Chen Feng and the young cultivator.
Chen Feng’s eyes narrowed. The black threads were formed using the power of death. After launching out the black threads, all that was left within the young cultivator’s body was a pure and vigorous power of life.
It’s not longevity energy. And yet, there are certain aspects of it that are similar to the longevity energy. Looks like this fellow had killed off some cultivators from the Longevity Clan before. Chen Feng waved his hand and sword energy swept forward to strike the inner surface of the cocoon, but all it did was cause ripples of sword energy to spread out.
Looks like I won’t be breaking out anytime soon. Chen Feng chuckled.
If so, he would have to fight this person.
“You really are a cultivator from the Longevity Clan. A pity, your cultivation base is too low. Still, your blood essence is very pure.” The young cultivator regarded Chen Feng, his eyes shining with light, seemingly desirous of seeing through Chen Feng.
“Tsk, tsk. Extraordinary! Truly, extraordinary! Ha ha ha ha! Unexpectedly, you have already cultivated out the Longevity Flame!” The young cultivator abruptly burst into a manic laughter.
He actually laughed for one whole hour before stopping. As for Chen Feng, he did not make use of the opportunity to attack. Instead, he spent all that time regarding the young cultivator, pondering his background.
“Not even a True Immortal could cultivate out the Longevity Flame. To think that an Ascendant Immortal would be able to do it. In other words, you must be the cream of the imperial family. From what I can recall, even amongst the imperial family of the various Heaven-defying races, such geniuses are rare. Now, I am actually conflicted on whether or not I should take action against you. I don’t want to face the murderous pursuit of the Longevity Clan,” the young cultivator said with a smile.
Chen Feng did not respond, but he had come up with some speculations.
Suddenly, Chen Feng asked.
“Are you from Blank?”
Immediately, killing intent glinted across the young cultivator’s eyes.
“I was originally considering letting you off. But now, it would seem like that is no longer an option. Consider our meeting bad luck on your part, then,” the young cultivator said, waving his hand. Next, a sword slowly formed. The cyan sword light on it was like flowing water and it arrived before Chen Feng in a flash.
“Longevity Weapons Condensation Technique!” Chen Feng blurted.
Boom!
Before the cyan sword made contact with Chen Feng, it abruptly exploded into a deluge of water, which rapidly swirled around Chen Feng to finally solidify, becoming cyan-coloured crystals. Runes emerged from the surface of the crystals and vine-like threads then shot out to restrain Chen Feng.

“Longevity Dimension! Looks like my guess is correct. You must be from the organization known as Blank. More, you have already killed off a certain number of cultivators from the Longevity Clan. In your eyes, I must also be quite the decent prey, no?”
Chen Feng displayed the Longevity Sword Technique to break the restraints.
“Since you’ll be dying today, I’ll indulge you. I am indeed from Blank. The number of cultivators from the Longevity Clan who’ve died under my hands is so high that it would strike fear into your heart. How else could I have utilized the secret techniques of the Longevity Clan?” A mad smile appeared on the young cultivator’s face and a stream of pure power of life surged out from his body. It then transformed into a rope to swiftly bind Chen Feng.
“A True law that has fused with the power of longevity!” After struggling futilely against it for a moment, Chen Feng then kept the Longevity Sword back into his body. He seemed to be in a slight state of disbelief to see how quickly he was captured.
Looking at the expression on Chen Feng’s face, the young cultivator grew smug.
“You’re just an Ascendant Immortal. No matter how powerful you may be, there is a limit.”
“Do not forget, I still have my soul flame.” Wisps of fire flew out from Chen Feng’s glabella only to swiftly retract back in.
“What’s going on?” Chen Feng cried out in shock.
“Do you still not get it? My cultivation base is higher than yours. Not to mention, I have also cultivated out True laws. By the way, I forgot to mention, I have also cultivated out a minor bit of the Longevity Flame. It is just a minor bit, but it is enough to suppress you,” the young cultivator said, a small clump of flames appearing before him. This one was somewhat different from the Longevity Flame that Chen Feng had cultivated. There was a scarlet-red colour within this one and a power of blood resonated out from it.
“Am I not lucky? I managed to cultivate out the Longevity Flame that so many cultivators from the Longevity Clan want to cultivate out. Once my Longevity Flame reaches the major success phase, I will be able to devour even Heavenly Immortals.” The young cultivator then flicked his fingers and the wisp of primary longevity flames shot towards Chen Feng’s glabella.
“You think this will succeed?” Chen Feng suddenly revealed a smile.
Seeing the smile brought the young cultivator a sense of foreboding. However, when he thought back to his hidden cards, he calmed down again.
“Body snatch!”
The young cultivator possessed a secret technique for body snatching that he was very proficient in. It allowed him to take everything he needed from the other party to leave only an empty shell behind. He had used this technique many times before and snatched the bodies of many cultivators from the Longevity Clan.
Amongst all his previous opponents, there had been a few formidable True Immortals. All had died to him. Chen Feng, on the other hand, was just an Ascendant Immortal. And while he was somewhat different from others, the young cultivator believed that Chen Feng would meet the same ending as the others.
Unexpectedly, Chen Feng simply snickered before opening his mouth to gulp down the young cultivator’s primary longevity flames. Following that, Chen Feng’s body suddenly emanated an aura, which caused the shackles binding him to loosen. Even the True law binding his body had seemingly lost its power.
“Eh?”
The young cultivator was astounded, uncertain as to what just happened.
Is this fellow actually a Heavenly Immortal? Was he just playing the pig to bait the tiger? After the thought flashed across his mind, the young cultivator felt his body weakening and signs of submission kept emerging from his soul.
He had never encountered something like this before. It had to be said, he was someone who could even put up a fight against a Heavenly Immortal.
“This feeling of oppression! This is the oppression exerted by a higher-levelled cultivator upon a lower-levelled cultivator. No! This is the oppressive power of the genes! How can this be?”
“This is the price you have to pay for killing and devouring cultivators from the Longevity Clan. Members of your Blank Organization specifically hunt and devour the blood and genes of those from the Heaven-defying races. Due to that, you fellows end up gaining their blood and genes as well, allowing you to utilize some of their secret techniques. Naturally, that means that the other characteristics of the genes would be passed on to you fellows as well. For example, the gene’s weakness towards certain types of suppression.
“As it so happens, I am capable of suppressing all the cultivators from the Longevity Clan. If you had only devoured one or a handful of cultivators from the Longevity Clan, you might still be able to resist. But too many have died to you. Bumping into me is just bad luck on your part.”
As he spoke, Chen Feng strode forward, the Longevity Tower appearing in his hand. Even though it was not making any offensive moves, it had still caused the young cultivator to fall to his knees. His essence, energy and soul power flowed out from his body like a river into the Longevity Tower.
“I cannot accept this!!!”
Before his death, the young cultivator uttered out those words, words filled with resentment. He had been cultivating for 10 million years, overcoming countless difficulties to finally reach the high-level True Immortal stage. Given his rate of cultivation, becoming a Heavenly Immortal should not be too difficult. Unfortunately for him, he ended up bumping into the Longevity Tower-wielding Chen Feng.
On Chen Feng’s end, despite having killed off a high-level True Immortal, he did not reveal a look of delight. Instead, he sighed. He could sense from the young cultivator’s genes just how many cultivators from the Longevity Clan he had killed.
A great killing intent brewed within him, directed at the mysterious organization known as Blank.
To think I would encounter a cultivator like this not long after entering. I wonder what else I will encounter in this Death Dimension. Chen Feng shook his head.
Truth be told, what I want to do most is to construct a teleportation array, return to Eternal World and check it out. There is also Domain World. This is karma, after all. There is a need for me to contribute.

1 li = 0.5 km
Note: The words ‘life force’ were translated from ‘生機’, pinyin: ‘shēng jī’. I usually translate them as ‘vitality’ or ‘vital energy’, but in this case, ‘life force’ feels better.
