Truth be told, the Sword Securing Bead had the same effect as talismans. Although only for a short moment, it was enough for the user. That brief moment was enough to collect the immortal sword.

Seeing the Sword Securing Bead shocked even Chen Feng.

“He sure did prepare thoroughly for this. Tower, when will we be taking action?” Chen Feng had been on the verge of taking action, but when he saw how calm Tower was, he stopped himself.

“Why do you keep on rushing things? What’s wrong with just watching the show first?” Tower shook his head before shooting a displeased glance at Chen Feng.

Thanks to the appearance of the Sword Securing Bead, the immortal sword was stopped, allowing one to collect it. Unexpectedly, two beams of light would flash forward to destroy the Sword Securing Bead. Without the bead to keep it in check, the immortal sword once again shone with a dazzling light and streams of sword energy swirled about wantonly. Furthermore, the three hidden groups of cultivators also revealed themselves.

“Prince Blood Edge, attack! Enough with this pointless stuff!” Patriarch Heavenly Sword said before quickly charging towards the immortal sword. As for Patriarch Hegemon Sword, he turned around to fire out attacks at the cultivators from Heavenly Firmaments Palace.

Prince Blood Edge hesitated for a moment before joining the battle. The three hidden groups were the closest to the immortal sword and they took action simultaneously, wanting to get the immortal sword.

“Attack!”

“How troublesome! The immortal sword will belong to whoever can take it.”

“There are cultivators lurking around! How insidious! I have no time to get entangled with you fellows, die!”

Almost all of the cultivators there joined the fight. And so, chaos broke out once more.

“Tower, what’s the purpose of doing this?” The reason why Patriarch Heavenly Sword chose to incite a riot earlier was because he had received the secret vocal transmission from Chen Feng.

“Now is the best time to be taking action,” Tower said, stretching his hand to grasp. The immortal sword was thus moved into the Longevity Tower.

“So easy?” Chen Feng was astounded.

“As if.” There was a very serious expression on Tower’s face. His palm moved forward to paste a talisman on the immortal sword. Next, the talisman kept flashing with light. Following that, the Longevity Tower’s power converged like a torrent of river to suppress the immortal sword.

“The immortal sword has disappeared!”

“There must still be someone else hiding in the dark! Find that person!”

The various Ascendant Immortals who were in the midst of battle roared furiously. Patriarch Heavenly Sword and Patriarch Hegemon Sword exchanged glances. Knowing that Chen Feng had already obtained the immortal sword, they put on an act for a while before leaving.

The treasure here was no more. It was time for them to try their luck elsewhere. At any rate, the immortal sword had gone to Chen Feng and they had no interest in fighting him for it.

Prince Blood Edge, however, continued to feel depressed. After that, he chose to attack randomly, killing off a cultivator from Heavenly Firmaments Palace as a result. In the end, he had to face the pursuit of several cultivators and was forced to flee.

The Longevity Tower had left the place right after collecting the immortal sword. Given the Longevity Tower’s present level of strength, suppressing the immortal sword would only require a bit of its strength. It did not take long before a plain-looking sword fell onto Chen Feng’s hands.

“Upright Heaven Sword! This sword’s name is truly domineering. Only, what is its background?” Chen Feng handled the sword for a bit.

“I have never heard of it either. Only some Divine artifacts are worthy of my interest. Immortal artifacts like these are not worthy.” Tower shook his head, revealing a somewhat prideful look.

“Are you really not going to devour it?” In truth, Chen Feng did not feel particularly reluctant about giving it up. He would only feel a slight tinge of regret. It was an intact Immortal artifact, after all.

“You should keep it for your own use. What I need right now are divine objects, Divine artifacts and cosmic essence. Even if I devour magic treasures at this sword’s level, all it will do is temporarily increase my strength a bit. I will still have to temper it myself in the future.”

“This is a high-grade Immortal artifact! Given my present level, I am incapable of unleashing its full power.” After saying that, Chen Feng sent his divine sense forward to communicate with the Upright Heaven Sword. Not long after that, the Upright Heaven Sword transformed into a stream of light to enter his body.

“Huh!”

Opening his mouth, Chen Feng exhaled a burst of sword energy and his aura climbed steadily. Only after one joss stick’s worth of time did his aura recede before finally returning to a state of tranquillity.

“Truth is, even this sword is not suitable for me. Looks like I will need to hurry up and work on the Longevity Sword.” Chen Feng shook his head. The Longevity weapons that Chen Feng condensed and kept within him had already reached the Dao tier. But given Chen Feng’s opponents, they were still unusable. Chen Feng cultivated the Longevity Scripture. Due to that, the Longevity weapons were the most suitable weapons for him.

“Not even a high-grade Immortal artifact could lure over those True Immortals. Looks like there are indeed some good items here. Tower, could there be Divine artifacts?”

“Probably not. This is a remote and minor place.”

Chen Feng laughed.

“They are all cultivators from the Four Great Academies, the pinnacle geniuses of the world of cultivation. If it weren’t for the fact that I possess the Longevity Tower, my cultivation rate may not be able to match their cultivation rate.”

“Absolutely. Without me, you’d be wandering about aimlessly.”

“Not necessarily. Enough about that. I am actually hoping that some experts from the Demon Plane would come over. It’s be for the best if they’re members of the imperial clan.”

“What, are you thinking about the Demonic Heavengorging Art again?”

“For sure. The Demonic Heavengorging Art that I’ve cultivated is just the entry-level stuff. No, it cannot actually be considered that. Honestly, the past me would not have believed that the Demon Plane’s Demonic Heavengorging Art is a Divine-tier cultivation technique.”

The Divine-tier cultivation technique was above the immortal technique. But the Demon Plane was not on the same level as the Immortal Plane. For the members of the imperial clan to be cultivating a Divine-tier cultivation technique came as a shock for Chen Feng.

“Honestly, there is nothing shocking about it. The imperial members of the Demon Plane are Devourer Beasts, but the ancestors of those Devourer Beasts are Divine Heavengorging Beasts. The Demonic Heavengorging Art was created by the Divine Heavengorging Beasts.”

“Divine Heavengorging Beasts. I did hear a little bit about them before, but I have never actually seen them in person. They must be very strong, right?”

“Very strong.” Tower nodded.

“There are some people fighting over a cultivation manual up ahead. It is an immortal technique. How about it, kid? Are you interested?”

“Immortal technique, let’s go check it out.” Chen Feng nodded. Some immortal techniques were highly formidable, comparable even to divine techniques.

A clump of multi-coloured light was flying in the air and several Ascendant Immortals were pursuing it. The clump of multi-coloured light appeared to possess a mind of its own and it kept changing its trajectory while moving quickly. It could even perform spatial jumps. Due to that, the group of Ascendant Immortals was unable to instantly catch it.

Chen Feng gazed ahead and saw a book made from unknown materials inside the clump of multi-coloured light. It had a rather quaint appearance. Although he could not tell what kind of immortal technique that was, judging by the wisdom that it was displaying, this immortal technique was likely a high-grade technique even amongst immortal techniques.

Before Chen Feng could even take action, the clump of multi-coloured light took the initiative to fly towards Chen Feng before landing on his palm.

“Tower, do I have such Heaven-defying luck?” A shocked Chen Feng asked Tower.

“What Heaven-defying luck are you talking about? I released a smidge of my aura earlier!” Tower retorted contemptuously.

“Why did I not sense anything? Anyways, let’s see what kind of immortal technique this is.”

“Imperial Heart Sutra! It has a very domineering name.” With a thought from the Chen Feng, the book then shone with multi-coloured light, which then converged into a stream of energy. The stream of energy flowed into Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom.

“Hey, I didn’t even say that I want to cultivate you, what’s the rush?” Chen Feng shook his head. After accepting the secret technique, there was nothing left in his hand. The book had disappeared.

“Who goes there? Hand over the immortal technique!” The group of Ascendant Immortals finally arrived.

“Greetings, Island Lord!” Upon seeing Chen Feng, three of the cultivators there grew shocked. Immediately, they respectfully saluted him. All three Ascendant Immortals were from the East Dragon Island Alliance and had only just reached the Ascendant Immortal stage not too long ago. Two of them had only managed to break through thanks to the immortal dao laws they received from Chen Feng.

“So, it’s you guys. However, as you can see, I did not have any intentions of snatching. The book came onto me by itself,” Chen Feng said smilingly. Although Chen Feng was only an Earthen Immortal, when facing these Ascendant Immortals, he gave off the atmosphere of a superior.

“Island Lord, you jest. For the book to choose you, it means that you are the destined one,” one of them was quick to say, a smile on his face.

“What is this Island Lord shenanigans? Hurry up and hand over the item! A minor Earthen Immortal dares to put on such a behaviour before us? You have a death wish!” That said, there was someone there who was unafraid of death. Or perhaps, he simply did not know Chen Feng.

“Insolence!” The faces of the three Ascendant Immortals from the East Dragon Island Alliance sank and they opened their mouths to retort. They made ready to attack the cultivator.

Chen Feng was also taken aback. Carefully regarding the cultivator, he then smiled. “So, it’s a star wanderer. But with this level of cultivation, you actually think you can come to our Eternal World and fish in troubled waters? Are you not afraid of death?”

“You’re the one who will die!” Another cultivator, the companion of the one who spoke up earlier, stretched his hand out and his five fingers spread out to send streams of black energy forward. Accompanying them were sobbing sounds that assailed the mind.

“I’ll deal with you!” Without waiting for Chen Feng to take action, one of the Ascendant Immortals from the East Dragon Island Alliance moved to position himself before Chen Feng. His hand flew out to create dazzling rays of sword light.

Chen Feng smiled. He did not do anything. Instead, he took a few steps back. Of the group of cultivators here, there were only two who did not know Chen Feng, both star wanderers. As for the remaining few, they had long since retreated some distance away. While there were many in Eternal World who had never seen Chen Feng before, there were scant little who had never heard of Chen Feng. Having found out that this smiling youngster was Chen Feng, was there any amongst them who would continue to step forward and knock on death’s door?
