It did not take long before the decisive battle came. Transcendent Wave Sect from Icy Frost World and Heavenly Sword Faction from Eternal World began advancing. When there was still a distance of over half a million kilometres between the two sides, they began charging.

That was not to say that all of them would just charge forward recklessly. In the process of charging, they had still assumed a few types of formations.

When they narrowed the distance between them to 50,000 kilometres, both sides attacked at almost the same time. Tens of thousands of cultivators fired out an attack each, and all the attacks transformed into a torrential stream of attacks.

On one side was an ocean of ice while the other side was a tempest of swords. The two torrents of power smashed against one another.

Next, one battle array after another fired out waves of attacks. In that one clash, countless cultivators were killed. Under such circumstances, dying from the utter obliteration of their souls was a very common scene.

Chen Feng did not attack. Instead, he hovered above the charging cultivators, his eyes shining brightly as he observed the entire battle.

“Myriad Swords Assembly Technique!” Immortal Daybreak shouted and all the sword cultivators from Heavenly Sword Faction gave off a pulse of power. Strand after strand of sword energy converged to form a gigantic 1,000-zhang-long sword, which then hacked down heavily against Transcendent Wave Sect’s camp.

This attack affected tens of thousands of enemy cultivators and panic broke out.

Even so, Transcendent Wave Sect’s formation remained intact. The two armies had clashed for real. Thus, the long-ranged attacks came to an end and close combat ensued. The most brutal moment of the battle had arrived.

As Chen Feng had speculated, Transcendent Wave Sect was no match for Heavenly Sword Faction. Even if Transcendent Wave Sect possessed double the number of men they had, they would still have – most likely – suffered from a catastrophic defeat in the face of these pure sword cultivators.

With a swing, he fired out a sword light that streaked forward to break the sky. It was as though he had sliced space itself into two. Instantly, a whole group of the ice lances were shattered.

Two more waves of sword light flashed forward. The first wave crushed the attack that the enemy camp had mounted in response to the initial sword light attack. The second wave streaked far ahead to slice open a sphere of ice that was hovering up in the sky, causing five cultivators to fall down. The five cultivators were Earthen Immortals.

In this decisive battle, the highest-levelled cultivator that Heavenly Sword Faction’s side was fielding was a peak-level Human Immortal. And yet, the enemy had mobilized Earthen Immortals. This was something of a bullying act. To be blunt, this was an insidious move from them.

Seeing that, however, neither Chen Feng nor the high-level cultivators from Heavenly Sword Faction panicked. Instead, they sneered.

As the five Earthen Immortals had been exposed, they decided to attack directly. All five Earthen Immortals deployed secret techniques to attack Chen Feng.

Every one of them was wielding a pseudo-Immortal artifact. Thus, the moment they attacked, Chen Feng felt as though the whole world had transformed into a world of ice. In the face of the assault from the grand dao of ice, Chen Feng felt as though his soul would freeze as well.

The disciples of Heavenly Sword Faction went all out, releasing an aura of indomitability. As for the cultivators from East Dragon Island, they unleashed water-type secret techniques to stop the enemy’s ice-type secret techniques.

However, seeing Heavenly Sword Faction made use of their Immortal artifact, Transcendent Wave Sect also utilized their own Immortal artifact. Seemingly made from ice, a mirror rose up. It felt as though this mirror could reflect everything in the world.

A mote of white light suddenly shot out from the ice mirror and all the cultivators there instantly felt their eyes going blind. It even felt as though their souls were melting.

A yang effect created from an extreme state of frost. This Immortal artifact is quite good. A pity, it is only a low-grade Immortal artifact. At the same time, however, we are lucky that it is only a low-grade Immortal artifact. Chen Feng smiled.

The cultivators from Transcendent Wave Sect were truly ruthless. They continued mobilizing their two Immortal artifacts to attack the Moon Sword Palace, desirous of destroying it.

Next, a massive beetle promptly descended from the sky. With a length of 10,000 zhang, this beetle was completely red in colour, with a crystal-like quality. Its sudden appearance caused the crystal-clear sky to become fiery-red in colour instead.

The first to shout that was Immortal Daybreak. Next, every disciple of Heavenly Sword Faction shouted those words as well. Next, a strand of sword energy emerged from the Moon Sword Palace. This strand of sword energy was gold in colour. After emerging, it then charged forward, sending the ice lance flying. The collision also managed to leave deep cracks upon the ice lance. After that, the strand of sword energy disappeared.

The five Earthen Immortals who were mobilizing the Immortal artifacts shook.

“Channel sword energy!”

Yet another strand of sword energy flew out from the Moon Sword Palace. This time, the sword energy was fiery-red in colour, making it look like fire. When it made contact with the ice mirror, the strand of sword energy disappeared and a crack appeared on the smooth mirror surface.

“Channel sword energy!”

This time two strands of sword energy flew out, one black and one white. The black one contained destructive sword energy while the white one contained icy sword energy.

One left and one right. The two strands attacked the ice mirror and ice lance at the same time.

By then, the Ancient Flame Beetle had already killed off three Earthen Immortals. The remaining two were in the midst of fleeing helter-skelter only for a sword – appearing all of a sudden – to cleave them both in half.

“The Moon Sword Palace has stopped your two Immortal artifacts. I wonder, will you fellows be able to block the two Immortal artifacts of mine? By the way, I also have an Earthen Immortal on my side. Next, without so much as a word, the Ancient Flame Beetle – still wielding the Netherbone Lance – transformed into a fiery beam of light to enter the Longevity Tower again.

The Ancient Flame Beetle was only a starter-level Earthen Immortal, after all. To be able to put on such a display of might was already quite good for it.

“I suggest that you fellows begin running, otherwise we will be killing off all of you.” Taking a step forward, Chen Feng then rapidly chased after one of the Earthen Immortals.
