《Everlasting》Chapter 921 Killing One Another

East Dragon Island had ignited the spark of war. In the following days, Chen Feng gradually received some information, informing him that there were six cultivation worlds in this battlefield.
They were Icy Frost World, Median World, Profound Origin World, Primal World, Spirit Orb World and Eternal World.
Domain World was not present here. Finding that out gave Chen Feng a slight sense of relief. That said, the other cultivation worlds did pique Chen Feng’s interest.
Median, Profound Origin and Primal. These three cultivation worlds were ancient worlds. Be it their history or strength, all three were stronger than Eternal World. In the past, it had been possible for all three to rise up to the same level as the Immortal Plane. However, due to various reasons, their strength declined. Even so, legends of peerless experts remained on these worlds.
On the other hand, Icy Frost World and Spirit Orb World were – when compared to Eternal World – relatively new worlds. As the name suggested, Icy Frost World had been created from the power of ice and most of the living beings residing there cultivated the grand dao of ice.
Spirit Orb World, on the other hand, was more wondrous. It was said to be created from a spirit orb. Some said that it was a top-grade Immortal artifact while others said that it was the legendary Divine artifact. However, the cultivators on that world were able to cultivate at quite the speedy rate. It did possess the qualifications to stand before the other ancient worlds.
Icy Frost World and Spirit Orb World would be easy to handle. As for the other three, we will need to be careful. If they are to mobilize a few Immortal artifacts, I will indeed be able to evade. However, my subordinates will suffer. To think that there are no restrictions placed upon this battlefield regarding that. How peculiar. Chen Feng chuckled.
In the beginning, the forces from the various worlds had occupied certain areas while probing one another. The only form of battle between them were minor skirmishes. Later on, however, the emergence of some teleportation arrays changed the entire situation.
Occasionally, a teleportation array would appear in Eternal World’s territory. Seeing that, a high number of cultivators would enter to find themselves teleported into Icy Frost World’s territory. Following that was a brutal battle.
Occasionally, entering the teleportation array found in Icy Frost World’s territory would send them to Primal World’s territory.
In short, there were teleportation arrays everywhere. Three days later, the entire battlefield descended into a state of chaos as 80% of the cultivators participating in this Planar War had begun fighting one another. Due to that, the blood energy in the air rose several folds.
During that time, Chen Feng’s army had fought against the forces from Icy Frost World and Primal World. In the first battle, they had fought the cultivators from Icy Frost World. As the number of cultivators from both sides were more or less equal, East Dragon Island had been able to gain a slight upper hand. That said, both sides suffered from casualties as well. In the end, they did not fight each other to the bitter end and instead retreated.
In the second battle with Primal World, the number of cultivators from Primal World was only one third that of East Dragon Island. However, East Dragon Island suffered from a defeat in this battle. This army from Primal World consisted of members from first-rate sects. Every single one of them was a handpicked elite, veteran of a hundred battles. Most importantly, their army had way more Human Immortals than East Dragon Island’s army. Seeing no other options, Chen Feng finally utilized his Immortal artifacts to kill off 10 of their Human Immortals before they were willing to retreat.

Cultivators from the cultivation worlds are truly not to be underestimated. If not for the fact that I possess Immortal artifacts, who knows how many of us from East Dragon Island would be able to make it back once the war is over?
At present, they were on a hillside. Chen Feng was seated casually while the others were scattered about. Around them were magic arrays that Chen Feng had set up. Thus, they were not fearful of any potential dangers.
Chen Feng had set up the magic arrays to allow everyone to work on their recovery.
“Commander, a group of cultivators has appeared somewhere 50,000 kilometres away from here. They have over 10,000 men. Judging by their auras, they must be from Profound Origin World.” Someone came forward to report to Chen Feng.
Generally speaking, Chen Feng’s subordinates from East Dragon Island would address him as Island Lord. The ones who would address him as commander were the loose cultivators.
“Ignore them. You fellows focus on your recovery,” Chen Feng responded coolly.
“Understood!” Although he felt somewhat hesitant, the cultivator stepped down.
Naturally, Chen Feng understood what was on their minds. These fellows had come here for the sake of obtaining benefits. Firstly, they wanted to hone themselves. Secondly, they wanted to obtain the rewards from the Immortal Plane. Only by participating in constant battles, killing the cultivators from the opposing side, would they be able to earn themselves some merit points. If they were to not kill anyone after coming here and leave safely, this would have been a fruitless diversion.
The Immortal Plane was able to clearly sense just how much each of them was giving into this war.
Although Chen Feng was aware of the thoughts in their minds, he did not say anything. The first thing he wanted to do was to bring his subordinates back alive. He did not think too highly of the rewards from the Immortal Plane.
Chen Feng possessed the Longevity Tower. By utilizing a Heavenstealing Technique, he could have as much immortal energy as he wanted. Unless the rewards involved some divine objects or magic treasures at the Immortal tier, Chen Feng would not find them attractive in any way.
“Island Lord, there are less than 5,000 kilometres between them and us. It looks like they are targeting us!” More cultivators came forward. This time, they were the cultivators from East Dragon Island.
“Ignore them.” Chen Feng waved them off in a somewhat peeved manner.
Finally, the 10,000 cultivators arrived outside the magic arrays that Chen Feng had set up. They did not attack. Instead, they observed what was happening inside the magic arrays.
They are indeed cultivators from Profound Origin World. Although they only have 10,000 men, they have 200 Human Immortals. If we are to start a fight with them, we will be the ones to suffer. Chen Feng’s divine sense swept out and he was able to determine the situation. Only, the other party’s formation was somewhat disorderly and the cultivation techniques they cultivated were varied. Sensing that, Chen Feng knew that they must be an alliance of various cultivators.
“Please ask your commander to come out for a talk!” The other party did not attack. Instead, they sent a soul wave over.

Surprised, Chen Feng then smiled and replied, “If you have anything to say, just speak up.”
“We just want to meet up and have a talk. Do you not have the guts to do so?”
Chen Feng’s figure flashed forward to emerge from the magic arrays. Looking at the opposing party, he said, “Say what you want. I don’t have much time for this.”
It was the truth. For Chen Feng, the various chaotic powers swirling within this battlefield were very helpful for cultivation and refining magic treasures.
“Before we talk, let me test your strength!” A Human Immortal jumped out, stabbing at Chen Feng with a spear.
A high-level Human Immortal. That spear attack could easily lift a 10,000-zhang-tall mountain. Additionally, the spear was also emanating hints of grand dao powers and the reinforcing power from Profound Origin World.
From Chen Feng’s perspective, this fellow was quite the capable fellow. Even in a first-rate sect, he would be able to become a leading figure. Only, when facing Chen Feng, he was simply not up to scratch. Chen Feng casually grasped to catch the spear, stopping its charge. No matter how much power the cultivator channelled into his spear, he was incapable of wounding or moving Chen Feng at all.
Chen Feng then waved his hand and the cultivator – his spear included – tumbled backwards. After regaining his footing, his face had already become flushed. However, he did not attack anymore. He could already tell that there was too big of a gap between him and Chen Feng.
“Well? What do you have to say?” Chen Feng asked.
“A partnership,” said a cultivator from the opposing force. He had a muscular body and a somewhat dark face.
“Not interested.” Chen Feng then walked back.
“Kid, you are too arrogant!” Two cultivators from the opposing army were unable to hold back and they attacked Chen Feng.
The two of them were peak-level Human Immortals. They could even put up a fight against the average Earthen Immortal.
“Scram!” Chen Feng sent a backhanded punch, causing a fist blast to erupt. As a result, the two peak-level Human Immortals were sent flying simultaneously, blood spraying out from their mouths, shock etched on their faces.
Given Chen Feng’s present cultivation base, he could even kill off Earthen Immortals. Thus, these Human Immortals were nothing in his eyes. His actions of participating in this war were practically that of bullying others. Due to that, Chen Feng temporarily decided against roaming about. Instead, he prioritized training his subordinates.
Seeing Chen Feng on the verge of entering the magic arrays, the dark-faced cultivator swung his hand and a stream of white light flew forward. Chen Feng caught the item. It was a jade talisman, a Communication Talisman.
“Sir, I am a loose cultivator from Profound Origin World, Chen Xuan. I hope to become friends with you. If you are interested, please contact me.” After saying that, he led the others away.
“Interesting.” Chen Feng shook his head as he kept the jade talisman.
Next up, Chen Feng brought out the Blood Mustering Bead. This environment would allow the Blood Mustering Bead to unleash its greatest power. More, there were streams of malevolent blood energy permeating the air of the battlefield. This power was a great supplement for the Blood Mustering Bead.
Chen Feng worked on his cultivation process for one whole month. On this particular day, spatial cracks appeared up in the sky. However, immortal energy did not flow out from the spatial cracks. Instead, it was the power of Heavenly Tribulation.
To think that Heavenly Tribulation could descend here as well. Looks like those fellows from the Immortal Plane are quite meticulous. Chen Feng scoffed inwardly.
The Blood Mustering Bead successfully levelled up to become a high-grade Dao artifact.
During that one month, a small group of cultivators had passed by. Chen Feng did not personally take action against them. Instead, he let the cultivators under him deal with them, like chopping up vegetables.
Another group of cultivators, numbering over 100,000 men with formidable combat powers, surrounded the magic arrays that Chen Feng had set up and attacked for three days. In the end, however, they failed to accomplish anything and simply left.
After that, another incident happened. While the cultivators from East Dragon Island continued to obey Chen Feng’s orders, the other cultivators who joined East Dragon Island’s army for this Planar War – the arrogant ones, anyways – kept agitating others to move out and attack. In the end, Chen Feng killed off three of them and the rest turned meek.
“Since you have chosen to join our East Dragon Island’s army, you must obey my orders. If any of you have any objections, you may leave now,” Chen Feng said coolly.
In the end, no one chose to leave. Chen Feng was someone with formidable combat powers and Immortal artifacts as means of protection. Only an idiot would choose to leave. While unsatisfied, following Chen Feng was more promising.
All else aside, just the thick immortal energy flowing around them was already a great benefit for them.
One day, Chen Feng received a call for aid from the cultivators from Heavenly Sword Faction. Without saying too much, Chen Feng promptly mustered his army and began advancing.
The cultivators from Heavenly Sword Faction were all pure sword cultivators. Their combat power was superior compared to the cultivators from East Dragon Island. Moreover, they possessed a ferocious style of fighting. Chen Feng believed that there could only be one reason for them to be asking for assistance. Their opponents must be quite formidable.
After making their way across several million li, Chen Feng finally arrived. However, he saw that the cultivators from Heavenly Sword Faction were not fighting against cultivators from the other worlds. Instead, they were fighting against formidable blood fiends and the ghastly vengeful spirits.
