“What happened?” Chen Feng’s eyes were somewhat hazy. However, they quickly grew clear.

“Tower, what happened!” Chen Feng shouted.

“Recently, your cultivation base has been going up too quickly. The amount of energy stockpiled inside your body grew too much, leading to you falling unconscious. Don’t worry! I have already treated you,” Tower said coolly.

Hearing that, Chen Feng responded with a snort. He did not believe a word Tower said. Additionally, he had his own guesses.

Thus, he did not ask any more.

“How long was I unconscious? We are already about to return to Eternal World.”

“One month.”

Chen Feng focused and found that the energy streams within him were surging vigorously. During this one month, his cultivation base had increased considerably. It would appear that Tower did help him somewhat.

“This trip has been highly rewarding,” Patriarch Heavenly Sword said, his voice trembling with emotions.

“Yes, we managed to expand our horizons even more.” Heavenly Premier Absolute nodded.

The cultivators in this wave of attack suffered terrible losses. Hopefully, this will be buy me some more time. It would be for the best if they only come again after the Planar War is over. Chen Feng sighed. This time, he had managed to kill off several Ascendant Immortals. Given the circumstances, the other party should falter for a bit. Only, should they choose to come again, they will most certainly be even stronger. Whether or not he would be able to deal with the next wave of attackers was a question.

Finally, they returned to Eternal World. Upon arriving at East Dragon Island, everyone except Bi Qing walked out from the Longevity Tower. Bi Qing had managed to gain some strokes of inspiration and he continued to cultivate himself inside the Longevity Tower. As for Tower, he had devoured a high-grade Immortal artifact. Thus, he fell asleep again.

This time, the entire Longevity Tower was in the process of refining the magnetic Immortal artifact. Due to that, Chen Feng could only utilize less than 10% of the Longevity Tower’s full power. In other words, he would no longer be able to use the Longevity Tower for combat anytime soon.

Of course, Chen Feng’s cultivation level was already very close to that of the Earthen Immortal stage. Additionally, he also possessed Immortal artifacts as means of protection. Thus, there were not many things that could worry him. The only exception would be those from the various Celestial Planes or the Immortal Plane.

After returning to East Dragon Island, Chen Feng then focused on his cultivation efforts.

When there were only 20 years left before the Planar War, Chen Feng found himself incapable of staying put anymore. He had remembered the pocket dimension within the Spirit Essence Tower. Back then, he had managed to explore up to the 5th floor of the tower, netting a great deal of harvest in the process. Many of the spiritual trees and even the Domain Tree inside the Longevity Tower had been obtained from the Spirit Essence Tower [1].

However, in order to enter the sixth floor, one had to be at the Human Immortal stage. Due to that, Chen Feng had to leave. Only, before he left, he had received a key to enter the Spirit Essence Tower. It was a jade talisman that would allow him to enter the Spirit Essence Tower at any time.

At present, Chen Feng was already a high-level Human Immortal. He was already qualified to enter the Spirit Essence Tower. However, he had been too busy to return.

Only now, as he was in the process of cultivating himself, did he remember the tower. He had considered going back to the Spirit Essence Tower after the Planar War. However, he had a feeling that he should be able to gain something by going there now.

As there were still 20 more years to go before the Planar War, Chen Feng decided to head forward to check the Spirit Essence Tower.

As for East Dragon Island, everything appeared very stable. With a group of Yao Immortals and Demon Kings standing guard over it and the assurance from Patriarch Heavenly Sword to help should something happen, Chen Feng had nothing to worry about.

Not to mention, they had killed off many Ascendant Immortals this time, netting them a bountiful harvest. The Yao Immortals and Demon Kings had obtained a great deal of the killed Ascendant Immortals’ energy, essence and soul powers and even the power of Immortal artifacts. Thus, advancing to a higher level was just a matter of time for them.

When Chen Feng departed, the Netherpython of the Nine Abyss and the Heavenscreen Skylark were already in cultivation retreat, in the midst of assailing the Demon Deity (Earthen) stage. By successfully doing so, they would possess the strength of Earthen Immortals.

In Eternal World, Earthen Immortals were regarded as pinnacle power houses. At any rate, the number of Ascendant Immortals was very small. Moreover, Ascendant Immortals would rarely intervene in the matters of Eternal World’s world of cultivation.

Every Earthen Immortal was a first-class helper.

Chen Feng brought out the jade talisman, which burst with a brilliant light to envelop Chen Feng. Next, it jumped through space.

And thus, Chen Feng disappeared from East Dragon Island. When he re-appeared, he found that he was already inside the Spirit Essence Tower. Chen Feng sensed his surroundings. The surrounding aura was different compared to the aura of Eternal World. And yet, there was something familiar about it as well. With that, Chen Feng knew that he had indeed returned to the Spirit Essence Tower.

This is the 6th floor. Sensing the aura around him, Chen Feng’s gaze then pierced through space as it scanned about non-stop to quickly figure out what was happening on this floor.

Rolling mountains with thriving trees and vegetation. It was full of life and spiritual energy and vast swaths of herbal fields were spread out within this space. One glance was all it took for Chen Feng to tell that it was man-made. Only, due to the passage of time, the spiritual herbs planted there had grown into a somewhat messy state.

Upon maturity, some spiritual herbs would wither away. Others would develop spiritual attributes, leading to the formation of primary spirits and the birth of plant spirits.

On the 1st floor of the tower was a lake.

On the 2nd floor was a training area.

On the 3rd floor was a statue.

On the 4th floor were various spiritual trees.

On the 5th floor were a Mystic Ironcore mine and a spirit stone mine.

Back then, Chen Feng had managed to obtain a lot. Looking back, Chen Feng now believed that the things he encountered were not actually difficult. It seemed as though the treasures were all purposely laid there for others to pick them up. Of course, Chen Feng was not the only one who had entered the tower. There were also other competitors there.

On this 6th floor was an uncountable number of spiritual herbs. Of course, uncountable was one thing. The rarity and grade of the spiritual herbs here were what made it so special.

As this was the 6th floor, the spiritual herbs here were – at the very least – of a higher grade than the various spiritual trees found on the 4th floor. This was Chen Feng’s experience with this place.

When Chen Feng first found the large swaths of herbal fields there, he had actually felt somewhat disappointed. No matter how many spiritual herbs there were, could they compare to the value of the Domain Tree?

However, as Chen Feng’s divine sense continued spreading forward, his expression changed and a hint of excitement appeared on his face.

The Longevity Tower also had a high number of herbal fields inside it, containing an uncountable number of spiritual herbs. The oldest spiritual herb there was a whopping 100,000 years old.

However, when Chen Feng scanned the 6th floor with his divine sense earlier, he found that there were at least 10 million spiritual herbs that were over 100,000 years old there.

But that was not all. Due to Chen Feng’s actions of scanning the place with his soul power, the spiritual herbs seemingly sensed something and countless herb spirits emerged from the spiritual herbs.

Generally speaking, no matter how much spiritual attributes a spiritual herb could develop, it would be very hard for it to simply grow indefinitely. The only exception would be for it to gain wisdom and cultivate out a body, breathing in spiritual energy and cultivate like humans. That was the only way for it to continuously extend its lifespan. Rather, it would not be unusual to see grasses and flowers cultivate up to the Ascendant Immortal stage or higher.

Another thing, as Chen Feng was swiftly glancing through the herbal fields, he had been incapable of recognizing many of the spiritual herbs there. He had to look over them several times before determining that the spiritual herbs were even more valuable compared to the various spiritual trees he had obtained from the 4th floor in the past.

Of course, if the Domain Tree could mature, the spiritual herbs here – no matter how many of them there were – would be incapable of competing with the Domain Tree. That said, the spiritual herbs also had the potential of growing. If Chen Feng were to provide those herb spirits with secret cultivation techniques, what kind of growth could they achieve? Chen Feng himself was uncertain.

These herb spirits born from spiritual herbs, despite possessing wisdom, were purer compared to humans. At times, they would possess a far greater rate of cultivation compared to humans.

Of course, the 6th floor did not only contain the spiritual herbs. If that was the case, anyone who entered this place would be rich. In addition to the large swaths of herbal fields were four Yao Kings.

The four Yao Kings were the herb spirits born from the spiritual herbs there. It was unknown just how long they had spent cultivating themselves. In the end, they had managed to reach the mid-level Yao King (Human) stage. And so, they occupied this place, standing guard over the many spiritual herbs here.

No wonder the Human Immortal stage is required. There are Yao Kings standing guard here. Chen Feng smiled as his figure flashed forward to re-appear before the Yao Kings.

At that very moment, Chen Feng’s cultivation level was already close to that of the Earthen Immortal stage. He had even fought against Ascendant Immortals before. Would he care about these little Yao Kings? He quickly subdued them before simply collecting all the herbal fields on the 6th floor into the Longevity Tower.

Next, Chen Feng took one step to appear before the teleportation array there. A spatial passageway opened up and Chen Feng arrived on the 7th floor of the Spirit Essence Tower.

Upon reaching the 7th floor, Chen Feng sent his divine sense out to scan the place and found that it was empty. There was actually nothing at all. Chen Feng fell into a state of disbelief. Once again, he sent his divine sense out to scan the place. In the end, he came to the conclusion that this place was truly empty.

There was only a spatial passageway.

Making his way through the spatial passageway, Chen Feng then arrived at the 8th floor.

The moment Chen Feng arrived, he felt the temperature around him spiking. It was so scorching hot that even the act of breathing was difficult. As for the ground, it consisted of some unknown stones, with a flat and smooth surface. Chen Feng brought out a tree branch and watched as it was utterly incinerated in a matter of moments.

Next, he brought out a piece of Mystic Iron, which turned fiery-red. It seemed as though it was already on the verge of melting.

What a formidable power of fire! I wonder what kind of treasures this place has? Chen Feng’s eyes focused and his gaze pierced through the swirling power of fire to inspect the floor.

Sou! Sou! Sou!

A series of sounds made their way through the air and Chen Feng saw fire beasts charging towards him from various directions.

High-level Yao Kings.

Chen Feng then took one step forward, his fist shooting out with lightning-like speed. The frontmost fire beast blew up, reduced to streams of fire, which then dissipated into the surrounding space.

Next up, Chen Feng continued moving. He constantly darted about, firing out a punch with each step. In just one breath’s worth of time, all of the fire beasts had been blown to pieces.

This floor is not that dangerous. Chen Feng then displayed his movement technique to rapidly move through the floor.

As Chen Feng predicted, this floor contained some fire-type spirit stones. To be more precise, they were fire diamonds. Grade wise, fire diamonds were of a higher grade than Immortal crystals. They were on the same level as the Profound Origin Jade crystals that Chen Feng had obtained in the past.

I have been using up too many spirit stones recently and was worried about how I should go about replenishing my stock. And now, I managed to find some fire diamonds. A pity, though, there are too few of them. After searching the floor, Chen Feng only found roughly one million fire diamonds. Thus, he felt highly dissatisfied.
