“An attack of this level is already close to that of a mid-level Ascendant Immortal, no?” Chen Feng asked.

“Very close to a True Immortal. Thankfully, my body is strong enough. You can imagine what the consequences would be if my body is not durable enough,” Tower said.

Thinking back to how the attacks could destroy an Immortal artifact with just one blow, Chen Feng secretly felt terrified.

What happened earlier had not been particularly flashy or intense. It was very direct. Even so, Chen Feng did feel somewhat disappointed. Disappointed that they failed to devour Zi Doutian and Nameless Brahma.

Shaking his head, Tower then stopped talking and his figure shook once.

A massive hand had suddenly appeared and it charged through space to grasp the Longevity Tower.

The Longevity Tower rotated to evade the hand. Next, a small ray of light shot out to pierce a giant hole through the hand. Following that, the Longevity Tower flashed about continuously to evade the hand’s next moves. At the same time, though, it also had to deal with the Divine Manifold Magbolts and the unidentifiable streams of light, which kept on appearing.

“Don’t just space out. I need your help.” Tower’s voice rang out and Chen Feng and the rest were shifted onto the second floor of the Longevity Tower.

That was where the 100,000 great arrays were located at. It could be considered as the Longevity Tower’s central hub. At that very moment, the 100,000 great arrays were operating furiously to provide the Longevity Tower with even more power.

Chen Feng, Bi Qing, Heavenly Premier Absolute, Patriarch Heavenly Sword and the four Yao Immortals found themselves standing on array cores.

“Channel your strongest power to mobilize the magic arrays. Whether or not we make it out of this place will depend on everyone’s efforts!” Tower’s voice rang beside their ears.

At the same time, Chen Feng also saw a large quantity of spirit stones being brought over. They were all used to provide the Longevity Tower with more power.

“Sigh! I’m about to go broke here. Hopefully, we can charge out.” Chen Feng sighed.

“Charging out alone is not good enough.” Feeling the rise in his power, Tower’s voice began taking on a more stalwart tone.

“What are you thinking of doing?” Chen Feng instinctively sensed a foreboding feeling.

“This is such a good opportunity. Do you think I’m just going to let this go? A top-grade Immortal artifact! By devouring it, my strength will soar!” Tower shouted.

“Have you gone mad? Let’s get out of here before even thinking about that!” Chen Feng didn’t know what else to say.

“It’s finally time to help out. Unexpectedly, it would be such a problematic situation.” Heavenly Premier Absolute and Patriarch Heavenly Sword revealed wry smiles. Even so, their hands kept moving, not missing a beat as formidable streams of energy surged out from them to help mobilize the magic arrays.

“Chen Feng, I have helped you quite a bit, right? I have a request,” Bi Qing suddenly said.

“Please tell, senior,” Chen Feng replied smilingly.

“I want to cultivate inside the Longevity Tower for some time,” Bi Qing said with a somewhat cautious tone.

“Ha ha ha! Senior, you may stay here as long as you want.” Chen Feng laughed.

“Thank you.” Bi Qing responded seriously.

After that, everyone stopped talking. Instead, they channelled forth their strongest power into the magic arrays as the Longevity Tower fought against the other party.

No matter how many Divine Manifold Magbolts there were, they could only help give the Longevity Tower more power. Thus, it stopped appearing. The unknown streams of light, on the other hand, kept lashing out. Unlike the Divine Manifold Magbolts, the streams of light were actually capable of damaging the Longevity Tower somewhat. In addition, the massive hand would keep on appearing, unleashing various moves to attack the Longevity Tower. Occasionally, it would even try to catch the Longevity Tower.

That was not all. More and more types of attacks were levelled against the Longevity Tower. Magnetic blades, magnetic disruption, magnetic domes, magnetic storms and various other types of attacks surged forward, inundating the Longevity Tower.

The Longevity Tower, on the other hand, was not as strong as the opposing force. However, its body was durable enough. Back then, not even Divine artifacts could destroy the Longevity Tower, let alone these attacks.

Thus, the Longevity Tower would either devour the power of the other party’s attacks or evade them. In the event that it could do neither, it would take on the attacks head on.

The existence behind the black hand did not want to destroy the Longevity Tower. It only wanted to kill off Chen Feng and the others who were inside the Longevity Tower.

The Longevity Tower was an ancient object and it utilized various methods and secret techniques to defend itself against the other party. Unfortunately for Chen Feng, he was unable to bear witness to those techniques, otherwise they would have given him strokes of inspiration, allowing his strength to soar again.

The scale of this battle was simply to great. Thankfully, they were within the endless space. If this battle had occurred elsewhere, it could have torn apart an entire star region.

Chen Feng was the first to suffer from energy depletion. He swiftly sat down cross-legged to recover his energy. Next were the four Yao Immortals.

A high number of spirit stones appeared. These were Profound Origin Jade crystals. As Chen Feng cultivated the Longevity Scripture, he was able to swiftly recover. Once he was more or less recovered, he then continued to channel his magic power forward to help mobilize the magic arrays.

The same held true for the four Yao Immortals. None of them spoke and they did not waste a single moment. Although they could not see what was happening outside, they could tell from the way the magic arrays were operating that the battle outside was still very fierce.

Finally, even the three Ascendant Immortals were incapable of holding on. Their power almost completely depleted, they began absorbing spiritual energy from the Profound Origin Jade crystals as well to recover their energy.

“Huh, Profound Origin Jade crystals! These are good items!” Bi Qing said smilingly.

“This is quite the amusing day. Truth be told, I feel a terrible itch to just charge out and fight the other party.” Patriarch Heavenly Sword’s face was somewhat pale. It was a result of severe energy depletion.

“I support your decision,” Heavenly Premier Absolute said.

And so, Chen Feng’s energy was depleted tens of times. Even the three Ascendant Immortals suffered the same fate several times. There was no telling just how many Profound Origin Jade crystals they had consumed for this. Suddenly, the Longevity Tower shook and everything fell into a still state. It was a stark contrast to the intense situation they faced earlier.

Chen Feng, who had been lying limply on the floor, rapidly jumped to his feet to inspect the outside situation.

It seemed the Longevity Tower had charged out from the magnetic region. At that very moment, it was simply floating silently across space.

Observing the distant starry space, Chen Feng was certain that they had made their way out. Due to that, he felt relieved. However, he then grew anxious again.

The reason for that was the black stone hovering in space some distance away from the Longevity Tower.

The black stone was not too large, only one zhang square, around the same size as the Longevity Tower. Pitch-black in colour, it remained very still and Chen Feng was incapable of seeing anything special about it.

Despite that, Chen Feng could tell that the black stone was not some ordinary object. On the contrary, he speculated that the black stone must be the one behind the magnetic region.

At that very moment, the Longevity Tower was in a discussion with the black stone. Though, it may be more accurate to simply call it a confrontation. The two of them had just gone through a fierce battle earlier. Although the Longevity Tower had managed to charge out from the magnetic region, it failed to inflict any damage upon the black stone.

They appeared to be evenly matched.

Chen Feng did nothing. Instead, he simply stayed quiet inside the Longevity Tower. He decided to let Tower handle this. At any rate, given his level of strength, there was nothing he could do.

The discussion did not appear to be a pleasant one and it seemed as though both sides were merely trying to buy time. In Chen Feng’s opinion, after this momentary lull, both of them would get into a fight again.

A whip lashed out from the Longevity Tower to strike the black stone. In response, the black stone released a wave of strange energy fluctuations to redirect the direction of the whip.

“As expected, magnetic powers.” Chen Feng’s eyes lit up.

“Boundless! Are you still not going to take action?!” The wave of energy fluctuations voiced those words inside Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom.

“It’s not yet time for me to take action.” A sonorous and charming voice rang out from deep within Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom. Tower was the only one who could hear this voice.

“No! You must take action now! Do it! I want to grow stronger!” Tower’s voice grew several pitches louder.

“Heh! Fine, then. Since you’re asking for help, I will help.”

Nothing flashy or domineering happened. Instead, a colourless stream of energy flowed out from Chen Feng’s mind. This stream of energy appeared most ordinary, but the average human would be incapable of detecting it. And so, this stream of energy flowed forward, making its way through the Longevity Tower, piercing through the layers of magnetic forces outside before easily blasting a large hole right through the black stone.

The artifact spirit of the black stone howled in pain as countless cracks spread across the surface of the black stone. It seemed as though it was already on the verge of shattering apart.

“You went too far!” Tower shouted. The Longevity Tower rapidly rushed forward to collect the black stone that was on the brink of shattering apart.

Although the black stone was a high-grade Immortal artifact, that inconspicuous stream of energy had easily pierced it. And so, it was brought into the Longevity Tower and its fate was sealed.

Chen Feng did not get to see that, but the others did. Although they felt puzzled by it, they did not think too much about it. They had all assumed that it was the Longevity Tower’s handiwork.

After that, the Longevity Tower seemingly obtained enough power and it began flying through space. By the time Chen Feng woke up, the Longevity Tower was already nearly back to Eternal World.
