《Everlasting》Chapter 904 Development

Chen Feng had ended up obtaining the two Immortal artifacts. As a result, his strength soared. There was no need to elaborate on the Longevity Tower. The Immortal artifact fragments, Immortal artifact power and power of laws that Chen Feng obtained from them were then directed into the magic treasures inside Chen Feng’s body. For Dao artifacts and Sacred artifacts, obtaining items such as these – even fragments – would greatly increase the rate at which they could level up.
And thus, the one with the fastest rate of improvement was the Steel Enigma Sword, which rose up to the Immortal tier rapidly. However, Chen Feng dared not make light of the situation. He was aware that the Steel Enigma Sword’s foundation was weak. Thus, he placed it at the bottom of the ocean, set up some magic arrays and mobilized the undercurrents there to assail and temper the Steel Enigma Sword. Part of Chen Feng’s divine sense was also inserted inside to undergo tempering alongside it.
The Steel Enigma Sword was not the only one. Chen Feng also discovered some special places under the ocean. For example, an underground volcano, a vortex spinning deep in the ocean, a grotto that had once housed a dragon and various other wondrous places. After researching the places, Chen Feng then brought out some of his magic treasures and placed them there. Firstly, they would serve to stabilize those wondrous places. Secondly, by borrowing the power of those places, he could temper his magic treasures.
Before the Planar War, Chen Feng had no intentions of leaving. Instead, he concentrated on his cultivation efforts. He improved his cultivation base and developed his own force. Additionally, he was also making a great deal of preparations. The Longevity Tower’s existence had become exposed. With that, Chen Feng knew that some formidable characters would surely appear.
Ten years passed in a flash. Chen Feng’s cultivation level remained at the high-level Human Immortal stage. However, he had undergone a monumental transformation. He had refined and absorbed the various energy sources and power of laws that were stashed away inside his body. Even the density of his flesh had doubled. This improvement could not be underestimated. The present Chen Feng could easily stop the attack from a top-grade Sacred artifact with his fleshly body alone. He could even block several attacks from a Dao artifact.
The Dao artifacts that were inside his body were still in the process of accumulating power. For them, levelling up further was somewhat difficult. The Sacred artifacts, on the other hand, all levelled up to become Dao artifacts.
There were times when several of the Sacred artifacts within Chen Feng would fly out together to undergo the baptism of Heavenly Tribulation before levelling up to the Dao tier. Then, after forming their grand dao powers, they would return into Chen Feng’s body.
This was the specialty of the secret technique that Chen Feng was cultivating. Every time his magic treasures grew stronger, Chen Feng’s strength would rise as well. This rate of cultivation was unique even when compared to other worlds, let alone Eternal World.
Naturally, there were risks to an overly high rate of cultivation. For example, one could end up suffering from cultivation deviation, the collapse of one’s fleshly body or the failure in undergoing tribulation.
Chen Feng also reorganized the various magic treasures inside his body. The ones that were suitable would remain to continue to be tempered. Those that were not suitable would be broken down and fused into other magic treasures. Either that or pick some of the decent magic treasures that he had snatched over to put inside.

As a result, Chen Feng’s cultivation of the weapons condensation and refining technique kept rising. Chen Feng also brought out some materials to forge out some magic treasures. They were all forged following the principles of the Longevity weapons. After successfully forging them, Chen Feng fused them into his Longevity weapons.
Sensing the improvement in every one of his magic treasures, Chen Feng grew even more excited and his zeal towards cultivation grew even stronger.
Even so, Chen Feng was in no hurry to undergo his tribulation. After having recovered his memories, he had come to realize that he had been too eager in the past. Due to that, his actions had left many hidden side-effects. Thus, Chen Feng allocated a good amount of time to temper and train his body, ridding his body of all the impurities and useless parts he could find so as to give himself a more solid foundation.
Ye Tian was the first to advance to the Human Immortal stage. At any rate, he had received the legacy of a Human Immortal before while his own talent for cultivation was quite good. Thus, his advancement to the Human Immortal stage was a normal thing.
Following that, the Pot Brothers, Knight Yaoblade and the others also broke through. Thanks to Chen Feng’s protection, they were able to advance to the Human Immortal stage. Even Knight Yaoblade’s Black Tiger was able to advance to the Yao King (Human) stage.
“To think that I would be able to reach the Human Immortal stage. I have never dared to even dream of this.” There was a look of delight and shock on Grotto Mistress Hypnosis’ face.
“This is because we followed the correct person. If we hadn’t met the Young Lord, we would not have been able to enjoy such an accomplishment. Who knows? We might have died in the chaos long ago,” said Sage Beastdrive, who was beside her.
“Sigh! You two are right. However, our rate of cultivation is still too slow. Just see how many Human Immortals our Young Lord has under him. It’s practically uncountable. There are even a few Earthen Immortals under him. If we do not work hard, we will no longer be able to hold our heads high here,” Knight Yaoblade said with a shake of his head.
“You’re right. Let’s find Young Lord and request permission to join the battle. We are already Human Immortals now. We can join the fight in the distant ocean now.”
“There is no need to go fight. Just having the thought is good enough. Right now, the three of you have only just succeeded in overcoming your tribulations. I will give you all three years to consolidate your cultivation base and foundation. The time will come when you have to fight.” Chen Feng’s voice suddenly made its way to them.
“Yes, Young Lord!” They agreed, a respectful expression on their faces.
All these years, Chen Feng had been staying in East Dragon Island. Of all the islands under his territory, East Dragon Island was the one closest to land. Due to that, Chen Feng was able to receive the latest news in the shortest time possible.
And with the Hell Dog and other Yao Immortals guarding the other places, there was nothing for Chen Feng to worry about.
Another 30 years passed by quickly and East Dragon Island’s situation was finally stabilized. Due to that, Chen Feng began drawing up plans to expand once again. First, he wanted to fully take over the Starry Islands. Speaking of which, the Starry Islands was a hundred times bigger than East Dragon Island. When adding the surrounding ocean region into the equation, it was even bigger. Through the years of battle, East Dragon Island had come to occupy most of the Starry Islands. Thus, following the development phase of East Dragon Island, it now had an additionally 100 Human Immortals.

Naturally, there were good reasons for such a rapid pace of development. Firstly, the ocean region was vast and filled with cultivation resources. Secondly, Chen Feng himself was willing to bring out his trove of cultivation resources. He was truly generous with them. He was literally throwing spirit stones at his subordinates. Under those circumstances, if they were still incapable of advancing, Chen Feng would have wanted to smash his head against the wall.
Due to that, however, Chen Feng felt that the rate of consumption of his spirit stones was too high. In the past, there had been several hundred million Immortal crystals inside the Longevity Tower. As for Sacred crystals and those of a lower grade, there were even more of them.
At present, however, Chen Feng only had some Immortal crystals left. He had brought out all the Sacred crystals in his possession – over one billion of them – and divided them amongst his subordinates to facilitate their growth.
As for Prized crystals and Magic crystals, Chen Feng had several billion of them. They were the accumulated spoils from the many battles that he had to go through in the past. These crystals were of very little use to Chen Feng and he did not feel too distressed at bringing them out. Moreover, they would occasionally find some more spirit stone mines at the bottom of the ocean. With that, East Dragon Island was able to develop far faster compared to the other first-rate sects.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that East Dragon Island was rich in oil. As a result, more cultivators came from all over to join East Dragon Island. Seeing that, Chen Feng was more than happy to oblige. Naturally, he would not simply accept everyone.
Specially designated personnel were arranged to inspect and assess those who came. Only after passing the assessment would they be able to become a member of East Dragon Island. Even then, those who managed to become members would be unable to just receive the resources from East Dragon Island and cultivate all the time. Occasionally, they would have to perform some tasks. In the case of those who came over to enjoy the resources without the intentions of contributing, they would immediately be driven away. That was the lightest punishment. Punishments were a necessity here. Even death was a possibility in such cases.
Of course, there were times that strict actions had to be taken. In that regard, Chen Feng was not afraid of offending anyone. Neither was he afraid of infamy. In the end, might makes right.
At any rate, most of Chen Feng’s subordinates were water yaos. Thus, Chen Feng wanted to recruit more human cultivators.
As Chen Feng was drawing up expansion plans, what Chen Feng had been waiting for finally came. It also disrupted his expansion plans.
Cultivators from the other worlds had finally arrived.
The first to come were Ascendant Immortals from the Immortal Plane. There were two in total. They had utilized a special method to enter Eternal World. Naturally, upon entering Eternal World, their cultivation bases became somewhat restricted.
Surprisingly, these two had come purely for the magic treasures on Chen Feng. They didn’t even know about the origins of the Longevity Tower in Chen Feng’s possession.
That was the first wave. Chen Feng made use of the magic arrays and Immortal artifacts that he had prepared beforehand to finish them off. He devoured and sealed their powers, broke apart their bodies and used every scrap of it. To Chen Feng’s amusement, they had used their real bodies for this. Thus, after killing them, Chen Feng ended up with all the treasures in their possession.
With their deaths, the wealth accumulated by the two Ascendant Immortals ended up financing the development of tens of Human Immortals for East Dragon Island. More, the Yao Immortals and Demon Kings obtained the blood essence and immortal dao laws of the two Ascendant Immortals. Due to that, they managed to make a breakthrough in their cultivation bases.
They were seriously just suiciding themselves, huh? Do they not know about basic information gathering? Right, they don’t even know what the Longevity Tower symbolizes.
After the deaths of the two Ascendant Immortals, more cultivators came. These cultivators were from the Demon Plane, Nether Plane and Ghost Plane.
Only one Demon Deity came from the Demon Plane. His combat power was very high. For Chen Feng, however, he was easier to handle compared to the two Ascendant Immortals from the Immortal Plane. The Demonic Heavengorging Art that Chen Feng cultivated was the counter to demon beasts, after all.
The result was as expected. The Demon Deity was slaughtered.
Two cultivators came from the Nether Plane and Ghost Plane. In both cases, Chen Feng had to face a bitter fight. Despite having utilized the magic arrays that he had prepared beforehand, despite utilizing Immortal artifacts as array cores and luring them in, it had still taken Chen Feng a great deal of effort to finally succeed. In fact, the Yao Immortals under him had to come help out as well. Only then could they slowly refine the enemy cultivators.
However, the fights also wore out the magic arrays that Chen Feng had spent decades preparing. Even the surrounding ocean region, spanning a radius of tens of thousands of li, were turned upside down. That said, they also gained a lot from it. Having obtained the flesh of a Demon Deity, the Demon Kings under Chen Feng were able to advance at a faster rate.
Naturally, Chen Feng’s actions of killing one Ascendant Immortal after another was bound to leak out. As a result, some of the Ascendant Immortals of Eternal World became astounded. Even Heavenly Premier Ninelink and his ilk, who had wanted to come trouble Chen Feng, grew silent.
Chen Feng, on the other hand, was secretly feeling worried. He did not feel delighted at the massive harvest he had gained through killing the Ascendant Immortals. He knew that more troubles were coming. Just one wrong step and this force he had worked so hard to establish could disappear.
