《Everlasting》Chapter 902 Memory

“A danger zone? They didn’t ascend to the Immortal Plane?” Chen Feng felt puzzled.
“They did not. It is a long story. In the beginning, it was Heavenly Premier Extreme Celestial who inadvertently discovered a peculiar spatial nexus point. He speculated that it is connected to a mysterious space. Back then, in order to avoid the suction power of ascension, Heavenly Premier Extreme Celestial opened up this spatial nexus point and entered. After he entered, however, we were unable to receive any response from him anymore.
“We do not have the exact details of what happened. Later, the other two Ascendant Immortals from our sect, Heavenly Premier Extreme Clarity and Heavenly Premier Jade Sun, appeared. One by one, the two of them also entered this spatial nexus point. According to them, they had received a message from Heavenly Premier Extreme Celestial.
“Only, it has been a million years since the last one entered. If it weren’t for that, our Extreme Celestial Sect would have the aegis of three Ascendant Immortals. How could we end up falling to such a situation?” Patron Extreme Enigma said, his face slightly contorted.
Chen Feng pondered the issue silently. It seemed obvious that Patron Extreme Enigma’s words were true. It was very simple. Their three Ascendant Immortals had used a spatial nexus point to go to a mysterious place.
“So, where is this spatial nexus point?” Chen Feng asked.
“The Northernmost Frozen Region.”
“Do you have more information on where it is?”
“There are records of it in our sect. Truth be told, in a worst-case scenario, our plan is to enter the spatial nexus point. Only, we do not know where it will bring us. Even the seniors from our sect are incapable of sending us any message from there. So, it is likely very dangerous. Chen Feng, are you by chance thinking of?” Patron Extreme Enigma cast a curious look at Chen Feng.
Chen Feng shook his head and said smilingly, “I’m a little curious. However, it is a place that could cut off all forms of communication, even for Ascendant Immortals. I will not recklessly venture there. That said, I hope I can get information on this spatial nexus point. It might prove useful in the future.”
“That will not be an issue.”
Next up, Chen Feng continued discussing some other matters with the Earthen Immortals from Extreme Celestial Sect before bidding them farewell. During that time, Chen Feng’s status was also elevated to Supreme Elder of Extreme Celestial Sect.
Although some did find it surprising, they were quick to understand. Considering Chen Feng’s present level of strength and reputation, becoming a Supreme Elder was only natural.
On the contrary, some from Extreme Celestial Sect grew relieved to hear that. Chen Feng was now a lord in his own right, after all. He represented a sizable force. For Extreme Celestial Sect, recruiting Chen Feng was the equivalent of recruiting an Ascendant Immortal.
After that, Chen Feng led his men to stay in Extreme Celestial Sect for several more months. During that time, the entire Northern Plains remained at a very stable state. The places affected by the war between Extreme Celestial Sect and Nine Firmaments Palace underwent a reconstruction process. Over all, nothing of note happened.

Of the cultivators that Chen Feng brought over, the cultivators from East Dragon Island had stayed put whereas the students from Absolute Academy and disciples from Heavenly Sword Faction went out for adventures. Most of them had never come to the Northern Plains, after all. Now that the war was over, there was no way they would simply stay put in the Extreme Celestial Mountains.
In a hundred years’ time, the Planar War will begin. For the average human, one hundred years was a lifetime. However, for most cultivators, that was just a matter of perspective. For those who had accomplished much in the path of cultivation, it would not be an exaggeration to say that one hundred years was no different from a blink of an eye.
The Ascendant Immortals had finished their discussion. Before the Planar War began, Nine Firmaments Palace will not be starting any more wars. Should they insist on starting a war, they will face the combined siege from the entire Eternal World. That was simply suicide.
Thus, Extreme Celestial Sect was safe, for now. However, Chen Feng understood that once the time was right, Nine Firmaments Palace would surely start taking action to conquer the entire Northern Plains once more.
I wonder if the other sects have any plans ready. If they don’t, when the time comes, they will be incapable of resisting Nine Firmaments Palace at all. Even after joining forces, it will still be difficult.
After having pacified the situation, the cultivators under Chen Feng all returned to East Dragon Island through the teleportation array in Extreme Celestial Sect. Likewise, the members of Absolute Academy and Heavenly Sword Faction left as well. They had built a teleportation array for this. Should anything happen, they would be able to teleport over at any time.
On this particular day, within one of the small courtyards in the Extreme Celestial Mountains, Chen Feng was receiving Bi Qing and several others.
The relationship between Chen Feng and Bi Qing was somewhat special. When Chen Feng was still weak, he had received some help from Bi Qing. Chen Feng had guessed that Bi Qing must have utilized a divination technique to divine out that Chen Feng would one day help him. That was why Bi Qing had chosen to help Chen Feng.
Later on, Chen Feng came to find out that he was a member of the Longevity Clan while Bi Qing was a member of the Celestial Clearblue Plane. Due to that, the relationship between the two of them became somewhat more intricate. It was such that the two of them didn’t even know what to say about it.
Still, there were no problems there. Amongst the many Celestial Planes, there was no great enmity between the Celestial Clearblue Plane and the Celestial Longevity Plane.
Originally, Chen Feng had assumed that only Heavenly Premier Absolute would come along with Bi Qing. To his surprise, even the other three Heavenly Premiers from the Holylands came. Additionally, there were also Patriarch Heavenly Sword and three other Ascendant Immortals. The three Ascendant Immortals were Patriarch Hegemon Sword, Patriarch Heavenswind and Heavenly Premier Aquafire.

Chen Feng was aware that the three Ascendant Immortals had a good relationship with Patriarch Heavenly Sword.
Even so, seeing all of them come together had still left Chen Feng secretly shocked. He did not believe that he would be able to – despite him possessing several Immortal artifacts – make them treat him as equals.
“Fellows, I believe you are here for a reason?” Chen Feng brought out some spiritual fruits to entertain them.
“Not bad. These Domain Fruits have quite the medicinal age on them. Items like these are rare even in Domain World. Island Lord Chen, you are quite extraordinary,” Patriarch Heavenswind said smilingly.
“It’s just some foodstuff.” Chen Feng shook his head.
“This is no ordinary spiritual fruit. At the very least, I have not seen a spiritual tree of a higher grade than a Domain Tree.”
“Well, then. Fellow seniors, please speak what’s on your mind.” Chen Feng smiled.
“Firstly, after the discussion between us Ascendant Immortals, we hope that you can participate in this Planar War. Naturally, not just you, but the entire East Dragon Island,” Patriarch Heavenswind said.
“I must consider this,” Chen Feng said.
“No considerations. You have to agree.”
“And if I don’t agree?”
“Then, we, the Ascendant Immortals, will be resorting to some coercive actions.”
“Fellow seniors, you would cause trouble for me?” Chen Feng said with a smile. He was not feeling too concerned about it.
“Of course not. However, who knows what the others would do? Particularly, Heavenly Premier Ninelink and his gang,” Patriarch Heavenly Sword interjected.
“Is that so? Truth be told, I am not worried that the Ascendant Immortals would try anything against me.” Chen Feng’s eyes shone with light.
“Besides, you all know that I can, by utilizing my Immortal artifacts, fight even Ascendant Immortals. If someone like me participates in this war, wouldn’t it be the equivalent of bullying others?”
“That’s exactly what we want. Bully others. Besides, many of the participants of the Planar War will be wielding Immortal artifacts as well. In fact, even for you, the place might be a fatally dangerous one.”
“That is even more of a reason for me to not participate.” Chen Feng laughed.
“Whether or not you participate is up to you. We will not do anything to you. We are here for another reason,” Patriarch Heavenswind said, nodding his head.
“Please say.” Chen Feng was also aware that these Ascendant Immortals would not have come to meet him just for the matter of the Planar War.
“The magic treasure that you utilized back then must be the Longevity Tower, right?” Patriarch Heavenswind suddenly asked.
Chen Feng was shocked. However, he did not let it show. “Yes, it is indeed the Longevity Tower. Unexpectedly, Senior Heavenswind would know of the Longevity Tower.”
“No, no! I only know the name of this magic treasure. I do not know its story.” Patriarch Heavenswind waved his hand.
“Oh, that’s odd.” Chen Feng pondered the issue, not quite understanding what Patriarch Heavenswind meant.
Patriarch Heavenswind fell silent for a moment before saying, “Some time ago, me, Heavenly Sword, Hegemon Sword and Aquafire were exploring outer space together when we encountered this magic treasure in a certain star region.”
“Is that so? What grade is the Longevity Tower that fellow seniors encountered and when exactly did you encounter it? Does it look like the one I have?” Chen Feng said, bringing out the Longevity Tower.
The Longevity Tower remained dark-yellow in colour, with nine levels, quaint and well-defined angles. However, almost all of the countless little cracks on its surface had disappeared and strands of faint-yellow lustre radiated out from it. It gave off the atmosphere of something simplistic yet subtle and grand.
Seeing Chen Feng bring out the Longevity Tower, they were all shocked. Next, they carefully regarded it.
After some time, Patriarch Heavenswind said, “It does look identical.”
“Identical.” Chen Feng had long since understood what was happening. There was more than one Longevity Tower. However, there was no other like the one in Chen Feng’s hand.
Truth be told, there were countless cultivators in the Celestial Longevity Plane who would forge out their own Longevity Towers. Only, those were just replicas. No matter how high their grades may be, they were just replicas in the end. The Longevity Tower in Chen Feng’s hand was the real ancestor of Longevity Towers.
“Although it is identical, it is not this one,” Patriarch Heavenly Sword said.
“That is for sure,” Chen Feng said smilingly.
“Speaking of which, it has been around 200,000 years since then, right? That star region. Right, what’s the name of the star region?”
“I think it is called the Draftsky Star Region.”
“Yes, it is the Draftsky Star Region! Back then, we had grouped up to explore the Draftsky Star Region. However, when there was still a distance of 50 trillion kilometres between us and the star region, a void storm suddenly appeared, blocking our path.”
“Yes, that void storm nearly killed us.”
Seeing them reminisce what happened to them back then, Chen Feng reflexively let out a wry smile. All he could do was to patiently wait for them to continue.
“Originally, we had assumed that this was just a normal void storm and that we were just unlucky. Later, however, we found out that it was caused by someone.”
“It turns out a battle had erupted in the Draftsky Star Region. We are able to see things that are far away, even if there is a star region between us and what we are looking at. We saw, a mighty cultivator whose cultivation level far exceeds the Ascendant Immortal stage. Even to this day, we are still incapable of figuring out just what level that person is at.”
Note: It was mentioned in Chapter 467, but a Supreme Elder is of a higher rank than the Sect Master himself.

Luster
Growing up with her recently deceased mother’s addiction and her own struggles with gender identity, June Fujiwara was not a nice person. Gaining powers from nearly being murdered didn’t change that, and neither did becoming a mercenary to fund her transition. It took horrific manipulation, the resulting trauma, and the family that helped her through it all. Luster is a derivative work based on Worm by Wildbow (John C. McCrae) that begins prior to Worm and although it doesn't show straight away, the story is very AU.
