Chen Feng could see that Extreme Celestial Sect had already put all their cards on the table. This was all they had. Although two mid-grade Immortal artefacts appeared astonishing, Chen Feng knew that the effect was only temporary.

Utilizing Immortal artefacts required energy. Given Extreme Celestial Sect’s current level of strength, the Immortal artefacts could only be used for a short time. The energy consumption aside, mobilizing the Immortal artefacts also required formidable cultivators.

Even so, by relying on the two Immortal artefacts, Extreme Celestial Sect should be able to hold on for a while longer. At the very least, none of the cultivators from Nine Firmaments Palace there dared to attack anymore. The offensive power displayed by the two Immortal artefacts was simply too great. Humph! Since you fellows are attacking Extreme Celestial Sect, I will just go attack Nine Firmaments Palace. Hopefully, no powerful Immortal artefacts appear there. Chen Feng moved quickly and it did not take long for him to reach Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters.

Upon his arrival, Chen Feng did not bother pausing to consider it. He directly brought out the Immortal Skylodge Palace and sent it smashing towards Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters.

After smashing down several mountains, it was finally obstructed by the restrictive arrays from Nine Firmaments Palace’s side.

Due to the formidable restrictive arrays, the attacks from Immortal Skylodge Palace were slowed.

As expected, it will not be easy. Chen Feng sighed.

The reason Chen Feng was attacking Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters was simple. He wanted to reduce the pressure on Extreme Celestial Sect.

If he could level Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters, Chen Feng believed that the cultivators who were besieging Extreme Celestial Sect would be forced to return.

Even so, Chen Feng knew that it was an unrealistic scenario.

Given his level of strength, Chen Feng was not confident in his ability to destroy Nine Firmaments Palace, not unless he was already at the Ascendant Immortal stage.

“Who dares stir up trouble in our Nine Firmaments Palace?”

Although Nine Firmaments Palace was at war with Extreme Celestial Sect, having dispatched a formidable force out for the war, there was still a highly formidable force left behind. Its foundation was even greater than Extreme Celestial Sect. Chen Feng was already aware of the fact that it had many secret strongholds which hid a high number of forces. Nine Firmaments Palace had yet to mobilize those forces.

The ones who came forward were Earthen Immortals. As they had sensed the power of an Immortal artefact from Chen Feng’s earlier attack, they too brought out Immortal artefacts of their own.

At the same time, the restrictive arrays around the place grew even stronger. Chen Feng could clearly sense that the great arrays of Nine Firmaments Palace were rapidly activating and recovering.

He also sensed waves of energy fluctuations coming from afar. The source of the energy fluctuations was targeting him.

I’ll need to hurry up. Chen Feng burned more Immortal crystals and the Immortal Skylodge Palace smashed into Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters once more.

Although the attack failed to break the great arrays defending the mountains of Nine Firmaments Palace, it was an attack from an Immortal artefact, after all. Countless cultivators within the great arrays were quaked to death by the shockwaves from the collision.

“Chen Feng! It’s you!”

In the past, the name Chen Feng was only important to those at the middle-upper level. However, things were different now. Even the pinnacle characters in Nine Firmaments Palace had begun paying attention towards Chen Feng. That was especially so after learning that Chen Feng had snatched two of their sect’s Immortal artefacts. The entire Nine Firmaments Palace was now viewing Chen Feng as a great enemy.

Seeing Chen Feng coming to their very doorstep, some cultivators felt shocked and some felt enraged. Of course, there were also some who felt delighted. To them, it was as though Chen Feng had presented himself to them.

“Damn right! I am here to destroy your Nine Firmaments Palace!” Chen Feng said loudly.

“You alone? You must have gone crazy!” one of the cultivators from Nine Firmaments Palace said with a derisive smile.

“First, I will destroy Nine Firmaments Palace. Then, I will go deal with Purple Firmaments Palace and Transcendent Firmaments Palace. The three of you have offended me. Your good days have come to an end!” Chen Feng said again.

“Ha ha ha ha! Has this kid gone mad?”

“Enough! Let’s capture this kid first.”

“Capture me? Not so fast!” Chen Feng then charged forward with the Heaven Piercing Lance, thrusting it at one of the Earthen Immortals there.

Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!

The restrictive arrays before him were all broken apart.

Just as the Heaven Piercing Lance was about to stab the Earthen Immortal, a rainbow-coloured beam of light shot forward to attack Chen Feng, sending him tumbling backwards. This was the might of Nine Firmaments Palace’s great arrays.

“Collect!”

The Earthen Immortal felt pleased with himself. He then waved his hand and the great arrays moved to send a few more rainbow-coloured beams of light forward to wrap around Chen Feng.

Boom!

Caught up in his feelings of pride, the Earthen Immortal failed to notice the Immortal Skylodge Palace descending from the sky. Due to that, he was smashed into the ground. The mountain that he had been standing on disappeared, replaced by a bottomless pit.

As for Chen Feng, he displayed the Longevity Wings to evade the attacks from the great arrays.

I was thinking about killing my way into Nine Firmaments Palace. However, it would appear that I am incapable of even breaking the great arrays defending it. Still, the most important thing now is to create even more chaos. The more chaotic it becomes, the better it will be. Having come to that conclusion, Chen Feng then stabbed out and a mountain was sent flying.

The Immortal Skylodge Palace stopped attacking the central area of Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters. Instead, it became like a meteor to assail the surrounding areas. The Immortal Skylodge Palace was an Immortal artefact, after all. Its rampage destroyed countless mountain ranges, reducing them to flat lands. Innumerable rivers were sent swirling into the sky and calamity befell the nearby cities. Some cultivators who were quick to flee managed to save themselves, but those who were slower were swept up by the shockwaves and were instantly crushed.

Shua!

Seeing Chen Feng’s actions of inflicting wholesale destruction upon their territory, the cultivators from Nine Firmaments Palace grew infuriated. However, they did not lose their minds. They were aware that growing furious will only play into Chen Feng’s plans. What they needed to do was to capture Chen Feng and prevent the situation from escalating further.

Space shook and the universe itself was seemingly turned upside down as a rainbow-coloured beam of light, different from all the previous ones, arrived before Chen Feng. With a swirl, it wrapped Chen Feng up.

Chen Feng stabbed forward with the Heaven Piercing Lance again and again, but he failed to break the rainbow-coloured stream of light.

Humph! I don’t believe I cannot break it! Chen Feng did not panic. Instead, he scoffed and kept the Heaven Piercing Lance. He instead replaced it with the nether artefact, Netherbone Lance.

Chi!

This time, he managed to punch a big hole through the encasing stream of rainbow light. With a flash, Chen Feng then appeared outside. Swinging the Netherbone Lance, he slashed apart the restrictive arrays in his path as his figure flashed a few more times. He made his way through the restrictive arrays and arrived before an Earthen Immortal.

“You, you…” The Earthen Immortal was shocked to the extreme. Seeing Chen Feng charge all the way towards him left him in a state of disbelief.

Puchi!

The Netherbone Lance flashed forward and the Earthen Immortal was sent flying.

As expected, the power of a nether artefact exerts a greater corrosive effect against something created from the power of Immortal artefacts.

Rumble!

A thick lightning bolt struck Chen Feng, engulfing him entirely. To Chen Feng’s surprise, this lightning bolt actually came from the Lightning Plane.

Naturally, now that the Lightning Plane had merged with the Immortal Plane, it would mean that this lightning bolt had come from the Immortal Plane [1].

The power of this lightning bolt was incredibly high, far stronger compared to the ones Chen Feng had to face in his Heavenly Tribulations. Normally, such an attack would have been enough to kill off Chen Feng.

However, after engulfing Chen Feng, the bolt of lightning flashed a few times before disappearing. Chen Feng remained unscathed, continuing to swing the Netherbone Lance to destroy the surrounding restrictive arrays.

A tense atmosphere filled the place and the cultivators from Nine Firmaments Palace fell into a slight state of shock.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Soon, though, even more lightning powers descended to assail Chen Feng, again and again. No, those attacks could no longer just be classified as mere lightning. Upon striking Chen Feng, each and every one of them shone with different colours.

Devastation Lightning, Nine Profound Lightning, Astral Blue Lightning, Profound Lightning of Malevolent Yin, Demonic Spirit Lightning and various other types of lightning appeared. Seeing them all, Chen Feng became secretly shocked.

However, no matter how ferocious and flashy the lightning attacks were, none of them could harm Chen Feng in the slightest. On the contrary, Chen Feng – who was in shock – actually felt amused. All of the lightning powers had been sucked into the Longevity Tower to become supplements directed towards helping it recover its strength.

Excellent! Excellent! Hopefully, there are even more lightning powers at this level! Chen Feng roared inwardly in excitement.

However, the advantageous situation quickly ended. The lightning powers disappeared and other types of attacks appeared. Sword beams, sharp blades, flaming lances, ice shields, wind blades, magic treasures and various other types of attacks gathered up into one location.

Some of the attacks were created by the great arrays, some by the cultivators guarding the headquarters and some by the newly-arrived reinforcements.

In the face of the incoming attacks, Chen Feng deployed the Longevity Wings and swung the Netherbone Lance. At the same time, the semi-transparent silhouette of the Longevity Tower encased Chen Feng.

In the end, Chen Feng became grievously wounded and cracks appeared on the surface of the semi-transparent silhouette of the Longevity Tower.

“Cough! Cough!” Chen Feng coughed out a big mouthful of blood.

By then, the Immortal Skylodge Palace had returned to Chen Feng’s side. In the face of the attacks, Chen Feng had neither the time nor power to mobilize the Immortal artefact anymore. All he could do was to keep on swinging the Netherbone Lance to defend himself.

There were tens of thousands of cultivators besieging Chen Feng, who also had to deal with Nine Firmaments Palace’s magic arrays. Amongst them were several hundred Human Immortals and several Earthen Immortals.

Madness! Nine Firmaments Palace has truly become a defiance of Heaven! Not even Absolute Academy possesses such power! Chen Feng sensed that the situation had grown even more dire.

They have too many people on their side. This plan is a failure. Forget it, then. I’ll have to figure something out after rushing out. Next, Chen Feng kept the Immortal Skylodge Palace and Netherbone Lance as he disappeared completely, entering the Longevity Tower.

Boom!

The Longevity Tower shook slightly and a spatial passageway opened up. Following that, the Longevity Tower jumped into the spatial passageway.

There were many enemy cultivators there, even a few peak-level Earthen Immortals. However, not a single one of them could stop the Longevity Tower.

They all attacked, only to fail in the end.

Seeing that, Chen Feng secretly grew relieved. As he was escaping, however, a massive hand suddenly appeared from the void. Seemingly having emerged from the depths of the universe, the hand made a drawing motion to sever the spatial passageway that the Longevity Tower was jumping through. Next, the hand swung and Chen Feng, who was inside the Longevity Tower, could clearly sense the Longevity Tower tumbling.

The Longevity Tower tumbled back out and Chen Feng knew that they had returned to the same spot, surrounded by Nine Firmaments Palace’s magic arrays.

Chen Feng’s face was extremely ugly to behold and he shouted, “An Ascendant Immortal!”
