《Everlasting》Chapter 835 Secretly Venturing Forward

The battle grew increasingly fierce. In the end, blood kept spraying out from Chen Feng’s mouth. He seemed to be already on the brink of dying.
“Everyone, go all out! This kid is already on death’s door!”
Just as the attackers were about to charge forward and kill Chen Feng, the lightning powers around them suddenly grew violent. The atmosphere of power behind them shot up, becoming ten times stronger. At the same time, rumbling sounds could be heard coming from afar.
Next, wave after wave of lightning rushed forward. Shockingly, it was a storm consisting entirely of the lightning powers. The lightning storm swept through everything, capable of tearing both matter and soul to shreds. This lightning storm was tens of thousands of times stronger than the storm they would encounter outside the Lightning Pond.
“Oh, no! It’s a lightning storm!”
Boom!
The lightning storm descended, submerging Chen Feng. Seeing that, the attackers knew that the situation was not looking good for them as well. Thus, they decided to quickly run far away.
The lightning storm left as quickly as it came. After just one joss stick’s worth of time, the lightning storm had ended.
“How dangerous! If we had been slightly slower, all of us would have been ripped apart.”
The group of cultivators who besieged Chen Feng earlier had been quick to run away. Thus, not a single one of them died to the lightning storm. As for Chen Feng, he was nowhere to be seen.
“Eh, where’s Chen Feng? He’s disappeared.”
“Is there even a need to ask? The lightning storm must have ripped him to shreds.”
“A pity! Who knows where the lightning storm had swept the two Dao artefacts to?”
“Hurry up and contact Sword Immortal Azuretip.”
One of them brought out a piece of jade. The jade piece flashed with light before projecting a hologram of Sword Immortal Azuretip’s head.
“The task is complete?” Sword Immortal Azuretip asked coolly.
“Yes, Chen Feng is dead.”
“Well done.”
“Then, when will you give us the rewards you promised us?”
“Right now.”
Sword Immortal Azuretip waved his hand and a spatial pouch flew through the hologram to fly into one of the cultivators’ hand.
“Since the matter has been handled, you fellows need to hurry up and go back. Naturally, it is imperative that you all keep quiet about this. If you do not, I will personally kill all of you,” Sword Immortal Azuretip said.
“Don’t worry about it. If we leak any information about this, we will end up dying without a place of burial. There will be no need for you to even take action against us.” The cultivators nodded.
Sword Immortal Azuretip then nodded and the hologram disappeared. Next, the cultivators joyfully opened up the spatial pouch and their faces grew even more delighted.
“A total of one million Immortal crystals. He sure is generous.”
“As expected from an elite of Absolute Academy. Heh! These Immortal crystals will be enough to last us for quite some time.”
“Let’s go! This place is too dangerous. Hurry up and split the spirit stones so I can go back to my cultivation.”
“Yes. Hurry up and split the spirit stones.”
Suddenly, a big hand emerged from void space to snatch the spatial pouch away.

“Who?”
“You’re courting death!”
All of them were shocked and one attack after another flew out. However, all of their attacks missed.
“Not bad. All of them are Immortal crystals. Looks like Sword Immortal Azuretip and his group has some good items on them.”
“Chen Feng, you’re alive?!”
Chen Feng was standing some distance away from them, the spatial pouch in his hand while his essence, energy and soul power brimmed with vigour. He did not appear wounded in the slightest.
“Of course, but you guys will soon be dead,” Chen Feng said, waving his hand to keep the spatial pouch.
“Hand it over!”
Seeing Chen Feng keep the spatial pouch, everyone’s eyes turned red. That was the reward they had obtained by putting their lives on the line. How could they simply allow others to snatch it away?
Boom!
The Blood Mustering Bead abruptly expanded to form a thick barrier made from blood energy. The barrier enveloped all of the cultivators and the power it displayed was over ten times stronger than before. Sensing something amiss, the cultivators gave it their all to attack the barrier but to no avail.
Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!
Next, the Deepsea Maelstrom spun rapidly as it mowed its way towards the cultivators. Two banging sounds rang out as two cultivators were sucked into the maelstrom. There, their figures became like blossoming flowers of blood before disappearing inside.
“What? That’s a top-grade Dao artefact! This is bad!”
“Hurry, run!”
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The Deepsea Maelstrom advanced, rampaging its way through the cultivators as it devoured them all. In just an instant, the cultivators caught in its path had been shredded. Even mid-level Human Immortals were incapable of stopping it.
“Argh! Mercy!”
“Chen Feng, spare me! Spare me! I surrender!”
“Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!”
This Chen Feng was unlike the one that they had been chasing earlier. This time, by utilizing his Dao artefacts, Chen Feng was practically killing each and every one of them in an instant. Due to that, all of them grew terrified and they all begged for mercy.
“A pity, there is no point in keeping you fellows alive,” Chen Feng said. Next, the Deepsea Maelstrom swiftly grew bigger to devour them all.
The whole world fell silent, leaving only the sound of the rotating Deepsea Maelstrom. The maelstrom became like a terrifying disc and everything sucked into it would be grinded into bits.
Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!
Wave after wave of the power of blood emerged from the Deepsea Maelstrom before flowing into the Blood Mustering Bead. Due to that, the bloody pool within the Blood Mustering Bead began churning again.
That was the blood essence and energy of all the killed cultivators. It would help with the Blood Mustering Bead’s advancement.
Not bad. The blood essence of over a hundred Human Immortals. A pity, their levels are slightly too low. If they are all Earthen Immortals, tsk, tsk, my Blood Mustering Bead would be able to level up. Chen Feng smiled.
Chen Feng waved his hand to collect the Blood Mustering Bead and Deepsea Maelstrom. After that, he sat down cross-legged and the Lightning Bead appeared on his palm.
Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!
The Lightning Bead became like a black hole, absorbing an ocean-like amount of lightning power.

Not bad. If I continue to cultivate myself here, it’d be possible for the Lightning Bead to level up. Chen Feng was not just using the Lightning Bead to absorb the surrounding lightning powers. Rather, he was using it to create smaller Lightning Beads. He had been doing this since the very beginning. He had plans for them.
Chen Feng created a total of ten Lightning Beads before finally stopping. After that, he utilized a secret technique to engrave some runes on the Lightning Beads.
It’s about time the Glassy Lightning Flowers emerge. I should go check it out. Chen Feng jabbed forward with a finger and the space there fluctuated as an image appeared there. He had quickly made contact with Marquis Scarletfire.
“Brother Chen, are you all right?” Marquis Scarletfire sent a secret vocal transmission over.
“It’s over.”
“What about those cultivators?”
“All dead.”
Marquis Scarletfire was secretly taken aback. Unexpectedly, Chen Feng could so quickly and ruthlessly take them all down.
“We have already ventured deep into the Lightning Pond. This place is very dangerous. Earlier, three peak-level Yao Kings appeared. Heh! One of them died as a result. Luckily for me, I was in the rear position.” Marquis Scarletfire chuckled.
“Peak-level Yao King. According to the information we received, there should also be lightning beasts at the Yao Immortal (Earthen) stage. You will need to be careful. I will hurry over as soon as I can. Later, the two of us will work in tandem to snatch the Glassy Lightning Flowers.”
“Don’t worry about me. I have my own life-saving cards. As it is, we are presently within a dangerous place and they have no time to take action against me.
“All right, I’ll have to stop here. More lightning beasts have appeared.”
Weng!
The image shook before disappearing.
Next, Chen Feng’s body pulsed lightly and strands of lightning radiance radiated out from his body. It did not take long before his whole body was enveloped by lightning radiance. Gradually, his figure grew dim before completely melding with the surrounding lightning powers.
This was an evasion technique, performed by borrowing the power of the Dao-tier Lightning Bead. It was a very formidable method of hiding oneself; even Earthen Immortals would have a hard time trying to find him.
As Chen Feng was stealthily venturing forward, he absorbed the surrounding lightning powers for his cultivation. It took him quite some time before he managed to find Sword Immortal Azuretip and the others.
At that very moment, they were all fighting against a lightning beast. The lightning beast was not too big. However, it was a peak-level Yao King. More importantly, it was extremely fast. After a series of clashes, it managed to wound two high-level Human Immortals on Sword Immortal Azuretip’s side while they had been incapable of doing anything to it.
It was simply too fast. It made use of its surroundings while fighting, sometimes even melding into the strands of surrounding lightning powers. Due to that, the cultivators on Sword Immortal Azuretip’s side had a headache dealing with it.
This lightning beast is quite good. It has comprehended the grand dao of lightning. By taking one more step, it will be able to become a Yao Immortal. Chen Feng, who was lurking around, simply watched the fight.
In Chen Feng’s opinion, given their current situation, none of them would be able to do anything to this lightning beast. It was quite the amusing sight.
Finally, Sage Aquafire took action, bringing out a magic treasure for it. A magic treasure forged from the power of water and fire furiously expanded like fireworks and countless threads enveloped the lightning beast. The more the lightning beast struggled against the threads, the tighter they became. In the end, it was tightly bound up.
“Good! The Thousand-layered Threads of Water and Fire that Sage Aquafire refined is truly extraordinary! It could capture the lightning beast right off the bat,” Sword Immortal Azuretip praised.
“Ha ha ha!”
Sage Aquafire felt somewhat smug about it. He kept the net, keeping the lightning beast alive. Clearly, he was thinking about slowly taming it to make it submit. It was a lightning beast capable of advancing to the Yao Immortal stage, after all. Killing it off just like this would be a pity.
Later, I’ll have to find a good opportunity to free the lightning beast. Also, that net is quite good. It is forged using the power of water and fire. I’ll snatch it and fuse it with my Immortal-binding Rope.
Chen Feng’s Immortal-binding Rope was only a Sacred artefact. By Chen Feng’s estimate, if he were to snatch over the Thousand-layered Threads of Water and Fire from Sage Aquafire, he should be able to make the Immortal-binding Rope advance to the Dao tier. Then, it would truly become an Immortal-binding Rope.
Boom!
The lightning powers there grew even more violent. By then, the lightning powers were practically tangible, capable of even blocking their line of sight. Even Chen Feng, who was utilizing that lightning-type evasion technique, felt pressured. He focused and retracted his aura, fearful that they might notice him.
It is said that the lightning powers in the deepest part of the Lightning Pond are so concentrated that they ended up taking liquid form. The Glassy Lightning Flowers will emerge from the lightning waters there. That is the true Lightning Pond. Looks like we will be arriving soon, Chen Feng thought.
“The Lightning Pond is churning! The Glassy Lightning Flowers are about to emerge. Let’s go!”
Sword Immortal Azuretip and the others displayed various moves, even going so far as to bring out their magic treasures to block the surrounding lightning powers. The lightning powers were no longer simply attacking them. Instead, they became like agile snakes, constantly moving around, seeking their weak points before ceaselessly pouncing forward to exhaust them.
Marquis Scarletfire was at the rear position. His eyes kept looking around, seemingly attempting to make contact with Chen Feng.
“Brother Scarletfire.” Chen Feng’s voice secretly made its way into Marquis Scarletfire’s ear, startling him.
“You’re right beside me? This stealth technique is amazing!” Marquis Scarletfire praised.
“It’s nothing. It looks like you want to tell me something,” Chen Feng asked.
“Yes. The real Lightning Pond is not too far ahead from here. When the Glassy Lightning Flowers emerge, an intense battle will surely arise. According to the information I received and what I have seen along the way, some of the cultivators who came to this Lightning Pond might be in possession of Immortal artefacts,” Marquis Scarletfire secretly said.
