“Your Longevity Steps has yet to reach perfection. With this bit of ability, you are actually trying to show off in front of me? You will die this time. A pity. You can already be considered a talent amongst those from the Longevity Clan. And yet, you will die here. This is truly, a pity.” The ancient voice said in a very strict tone and the soundwaves directly entered Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom. It was even capable of disrupting his emotions.

Suddenly, Chen Feng broke into a smile. Through the earlier confrontation, Chen Feng had grown slightly more confident. Perhaps it was because the other party was sealed or perhaps there were some other reasons, but he was incapable of displaying his full power. At the very least, the power that he was currently displaying was not enough to force Chen Feng to run away. No matter how powerful the other party may be, it would be useless if he could not bring out a power that was sufficient to kill off Chen Feng.

“Since you know quite a bit about our Longevity Clan, you probably know as well that we Heaven-defying races are capable of displaying a formidable power, allowing us to defeat opponents that are on a higher level. As it is, you are presently sealed up. With just one hand, you cannot kill me. If we are to fight for real, you could end up losing. Losing to someone like me would surely be a very shameful thing for you, no?” Chen Feng responded, laughing.

The reason why Chen Feng would choose to engage in a conversation with the other party was to buy time as he gathered his strength.

The five fingers on the massive palm kept moving about and one energy blast after another tore through space as they shot towards Lan Ling and the others. After that, the massive palm gripped into a fist and punched towards Chen Feng.

“First, I will kill your friends. Then, I will kill you.”

The Barbarian Deity had realized that he would not be able to kill off Chen Feng anytime soon. Thus, he turned his attention towards Lan Ling and the others. He wanted to distract Chen Feng so as to help him defeat Chen Feng.

Seeing the Barbarian Deity attack Lan Ling’s group, Chen Feng was shocked. However, he did not let it show on his face. Instantly, he blocked the incoming punch. After that, his figure rapidly dashed forward to stop most of the energy blasts. However, the remaining energy blasts made their way towards Lan Ling’s group, leaving wounds on Lan Ling and Hu Xian’er.

“Chen Feng, are you all right?” Hu Xian’er asked in a worried tone.

“I told you fellows to leave, but you didn’t! By staying here, you fellows are creating a mess for me!” Chen Feng’s face was as cold as ice. That punch had wounded Chen Feng considerably.

Some broken bones were nothing for Chen Feng. The biggest problem here was the savage power that had made its way into his body. Regardless if the other party was truly a Wicked Barbarian Deity or not, the savage power inside his body was most certainly authentic. Chen Feng felt fortunate that the other party was incapable of bringing out his full power, otherwise Chen Feng would have been killed instantly, even if he was twice as strong.

Hearing Chen Feng’s words, they all felt somewhat ashamed. No matter how you cut it, they had indeed been delaying their escape. Due to them, Chen Feng had ended up in a wounded state.

“How troublesome.” Chen Feng shook his head and sighed. Next, he sneakily fired out the Deepsea Maelstrom and some of the barbarian cultivators blocking Lan Ling’s path were smashed away. Two of the barbarian cultivators were somewhat unlucky and they were quickly swept into the maelstrom, killed instantaneously.

“Go!”

This time, Lan Ling and the others did not hesitate anymore. They charged through the opening and ran away.

Only after they had escaped did some of the cultivators that Chen Feng released earlier noticed that. They wanted to charge out as well, but it was already too late. Thus, they began asking Chen Feng for help again.

“Friend, please help create an opening for us again. Help us get out!” several of the cultivators there shouted in unison.

Chen Feng simply snickered, not replying at all. Don’t joke around. His identity as a member of the Longevity Clan must not be revealed. Besides, they were also high-grade cannon fodders. If Chen Feng were to help them all escape, all of the attacks would fall onto him.

Chen Feng was aware that he was not a fearless and altruistic person, someone who was willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of others. Thus, he ignored them and simply linked up to the Celestial Longevity Plane. Swiftly, he absorbed some longevity power while borrowing the laws of the Celestial Longevity Plane to mobilize some of the secret techniques recorded within the Longevity Scripture.

“Friend, please help!” Some of the cultivators there grew terrified and they began begging Chen Feng to help them with the barbarian cultivators again.

However, it was useless. By then, Chen Feng was already utilizing the Deepsea Maelstrom to fight against the massive hand.

“Unexpectedly, it is a top-grade Dao artefact. I made a mistake. Forget it. You can leave now. I will just pretend I never met you.” The ancient voice rang out from the passageway. There was a hint of helplessness within the voice.

“You want me to leave now? You think this world is so easy?” Chen Feng, however, did not leave. Instead, he channelled all of his power, empowering the Deepsea Maelstrom to continuously attack the massive hand.

“You’re hot shit, aren’t you? Go ahead, then! Just grab my Dao artefact and crush it!” Chen Feng said with a derisive grin.

“Damn you! You’re going overboard! An insignificant Human Immortal dares to look down on me? How infuriating!”

Weng!

A formidable wave of energy fluctuations spread out from the passageway. Next, runes began appearing across the surface of the massive and rough-looking arm and its power rose steadily. Noticing that, Chen Feng could not stop his brows from furrowing together.

“In order to kill me, you actually burned your essence? You’re really going all out for this!” Chen Feng laughed. The arm’s increasingly formidable aura caused Chen Feng to feel wary. However, he did not let that show.

“Very well, it’s time to end this. I’ll stop here for today.” After making an estimate, Chen Feng figured that Lan Ling’s group had already safely made it away from this place. Laughing, he then attempted to flee as well.

As for the other cultivators, they were still struggling to fight against the barbarian cultivators. Due to the high number of barbarian cultivators, there was no way they could leave. Chen Feng gave them a glance and knew that their deaths were already set in stone.

Sigh! It’s just bad luck on your part. With such a calamity in your fate, how can you avoid getting killed? Chen Feng lamented their fates.

“You’re thinking of leaving? Impossible! You, stay!” The massive palm streaked through the sky, strands of flames burning across its surface. In just one tenth the time for a blink, it had already arrived above Chen Feng, grasping at him.

It was then that Chen Feng finally utilized the Immortal artefact. An ordinary-looking energy blast flashed forward and the palm was pierced right through. A wretched cry rang out from the passageway, but it quickly disappeared. Next, a sinister voice rang out. “Unexpectedly, a minor fellow like you would possess an Immortal artefact. Great, this is truly great! It seems you possess quite the standing in the Longevity Clan. If I capture you, I should be able to interrogate out some important information.”

By then, however, Chen Feng had already left. The massive palm stopped chasing him as well. Instead, it pulled back. Next, with a sweeping move, two of the cultivators there were killed off and their essence, energy and soul power were devoured.

Due to the participation of the massive hand, every one of the cultivators were quickly wiped out. Unfortunately, all of them – geniuses in cultivation – ended up dying a meaningless death on Planet Voidsoul.

After all of the cultivators’ essence, energy and soul power were absorbed, the spatial passageway expanded in size and the arm protruded further in. Even part of the shoulder could be seen.

“Ha ha ha ha ha! Just a little more and I will be able to come out. Power, I need more power! Hurry up and give me more sacrifices!” The voice from the passageway shouted wildly.

“Yes, we obey!” The barbarian cultivators quickly brought out all the spirit stones that they had prepared beforehand, throwing all of them into the passageway.

“No! No! These crappy spirit stones are not good enough. Hurry up and find living creatures for me. I will be coming out soon enough. Once I am out, I will be able to instantly take over this planet and lead my people to conquer other life-bearing worlds!”

In the end, the ancient voice continued, “After I get out, the first person I will be killing will be that fellow from the Longevity Clan.”

Somewhere five million kilometres away, space fluctuated and a grand and magnificent-looking grotto-mansion slowly appeared. Next, the old man from the Skyfire Clan who fought against Chen Feng earlier emerged. There was an impassive look on his face. However, flames danced within his eyes.

“Heh! Longevity Clan brat, just you wait. I have already retrieved my weapon and my strength has mostly recovered. If I so desire, I can easily take control of this planet. However, the most important thing now is to capture you. Ha ha ha! I will have you know the folly of offending me!”

Next up, the old man’s eyes flashed and he smiled. “As expected, two of my grotto-mansions have been cleared out. Truly, I don’t even know what to say. If you fellows had headed back to your world immediately, there would have been nothing I could do to you fellows. Now, though, I will have you fellows stay here for good!”

Chen Feng was unaware that two formidable characters had set their sights on him. Besides, even if he was aware of it, given his character, he would still choose to not leave.

At that very moment, Chen Feng was together with Lan Ling and the others, who stood there silently. They didn’t know what to say to Chen Feng.

“Right now, what you fellows need to do is to immediately head back to Eternal World,” Chen Feng said.

“You think we’re dragging you down? That’s simple. We can just go our separate ways. We’ll just deal with whatever happens to us on our own.” Feng Jian, who possessed the highest cultivation base amongst them, felt displeased.

Even Chen Xing’er was revealing a somewhat displeased expression. Although Chen Feng had saved them, his words was hard to stomach.

“That’s probably not what Chen Feng meant. There might be something else.” Lan Ling quickly spoke up.

“That’s right. I have this foreboding feeling that a great danger is coming. Now is not the time to be arguing. If it’s too late, the danger will come down on us.”

“Leave, right now.

“Leave!”

Suddenly, the expression on Chen Feng’s face grew grim. The sense of crisis was growing ever stronger, approaching them at a rapid rate.

“Humph!” Feng Jian did not believe Chen Feng’s words. Even if he did, he would not show it.

“Too late. I’ll try to lure the other party away first. Listen to me. You all need to leave right now. If you don’t, it will be too late.”

After saying that, a formidable aura surged out from Chen Feng’s body and he leapt up into the sky, shocking them all.

“What is he up to? Or, was he serious earlier?”

“No matter, we need to hurry up and leave.”
