“Aiya, it seems like I’ve come at the perfect time,” Su Chen chuckled as he glanced at the number being shown on the display above the switch for Sky City’s barrier.
Then, he reached out and grabbed the handle - the very same one that the demonic cat had accidentally pushed in the past.
He forcefully pulled it down.
“NO!” the Craftsman howled in despair.
The energy output of Sark’s Nucleus suddenly began to wind down.
Alarms began to blare as a large group of Harpy soldiers charged in Su Chen’s direction.
Su Chen curled the corner of his lips up in a smile. “Don’t be in such a hurry.”
Formless consciousness ripples began to disperse in all directions. The Harpy soldiers suddenly froze, incapable of moving.
“That’s more like it. Don’t worry, today will not be the day of your extinction.” As Su Chen spoke, he tapped the Craftsman’s forehead and said in a low voice, “You saw no human here today. All that happened was Sark’s Nucleus malfunctioned due to the excessive load, resulting in an explosion of energy.”

“That’s more like it.” Su Chen smiled slightly, then turned to glance...

I blame Jake) 3. A tragedy. A lot of things are not going to go well for the protagonist. (Not that everything is tragedy all the time. There is humor, laughter, friendship, and even a mascot monster character who got way more popular than I expected. But this is not a story that will leave you uplifted and inspired after every time you read it). ---- Release Schedule and publishing information: Book 1 is complete! I will include a link to book 2 once it has been started. Feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. ---- Other notes Book 1? Yes, this says Book 1. There are probably going to be 3 books. No, the plot as you can guess is not going to be tortured to drag out all the way to book 3. That would be ridiculous. If you can guess the plot of books 2 or 3 at any point before the last chapter of book 1, please use your clairvoyant powers for something more productive. TitusGM? This story is intentionally told under the username TitusGM because the idea is that he was the one actually writing everything down what happened after it all is over. I initially planned to answer everything in character on this site, but that just really didn't work out. The world is playing a waiting game with human lives, and Oscar is caught right in the middle of it. Note: This is a dark LitRPG story, with dungeons, levelling, and quests in a contemporary setting. Permanight is currently on hiatus while I prepare a rewrite based on the current feedback I've recieved. I'm sorry for the bad news, but I want to bring the world to life in a way that feels real, and at the moment - I'm not entirely convinced that I'm doing that.
