After Master Cloud-Dao left, Li Yuansheng went back into his immortal's cave, his face ashen and yet green with fury. Blood still smeared his lips as he balled his hands into fists and growled, “Bai Xiaochun is nothing more than a hostage from a Middle Reaches sect. The River-Defying Sect is still unstable, and doesn't even have a Deva Realm cultivator yet. They could be destroyed at any moment. How could a hostage like that have anybody powerful supporting them?”

However, that seemed too bitter of a pill to swallow, especially when he thought back to the humiliation he had endured in Sky City. It only took a moment for him to lose his cool immediately. Eyes flickering with cold light, he thought, “It must have just been a coincidence. Hallmaster Feng must have had a beef with Eccentric Earthvile. There’s no way that Bai Xiaochun can have somebody that powerful watching out for him!
“Since Master Cloud-Dao won’t help me, I guess I’ll have to handle things myself. This time, I’ll make sure Bai Xiaochun knows the height of the heavens...

Every emotion and personality trait got altered, be it a positive or negative feeling. Her physical stats were no exception. This caused her to have the most literal identity crisis because she felt like someone else entirely. To make things worse, those emotional boosts aren't the most reliable ones, overcompensating or even failing from time to time. Trying to deal with these conflicting emotions, Sophia works hard to come to terms with the new her while doing her best in the new world. Exploring places, learning magic, finally finding friends again, and possibly more. Unfortunately, she learns this world's magic from a highly overpowered, easygoing, and somewhat unreliable teacher. This not only destroys the last bit of her common sense, but Sophia's application of magic also becomes rather sloppy, causing one weird incident after another. Not to mention that some of the inhabitants of her new home are a little different from what she imagined. This is my first real attempt at writing a full novel, but the story is based on a world that I've been creating and re-creating since I was a child. I have an extensive "history" and religion, and even a semi-cohesive language system worked out, which will hopefully slowly shine through as the story progresses. I want to avoid having too many info-dumps, so I may from time to time post a bonus lore chapter that will explain some of the background for any who are interested.
