The plan was to have dinner at her place. However, when dinner time came, the two found themselves on the bank of a river.

The night sky was dotted with stars, the moonlight gracing them a romantic ambience. The river waters flowed silently in the background. The Knight XV waited for them under the quiet night, strong contour standing out like a metal beast.

It should’ve been expected. How could a car-loving enthusiast not want to hear the roar of her newly-acquired twenty million Knight XV? Could she have withstood the seduction of a V10 engine and its sound? Would she give up a chance to show her charming wild side to the man she loved?

Long Bing, was never one to become a housewife stereotype. Xia Lei couldn’t even count the times she told him that she would make him dinner but had turned out to be a cup of instant ramen instead. Therefore, the man had no expectations to enjoy a good meal at Long Bing’s place. He had already braced himself for another cup ramen meal when Long Bing brought up the offer earlier.

Despite that, it seemed like even the cup noodles were out of reach. They had left all forms of civilisation. All they could see was a large span of land, it was somewhere where a billionaire couldn’t buy cup noodles.

“Is it really worth twenty million?” On the grass patch, the woman lying on the crook of his shoulder broke the intimate silence.

“Why are you asking?” Xia Lei was content with the tranquillity.

“I’m just curious. Tang Yuyan mentioned that it was worth twenty million,” said Long Bing.

“It would be twenty-one million including tax.”

Long Bing’s jaw hung open in shock. “That’s crazy expensive. I don’t dare to drive it anymore… Why are you giving me such a nice ride?”

Xia Lei stared at her in silence with gentle and tender eyes. “You’re my lover. You like guns, so I’ll give you the best guns the world has to offer. You like cars, so I’ll give you the best cars the world has to offer. I want to spoil you with the very best you deserve.”

Long Bing’s heart thumped loudly against her chest. She mumbled, “I just want you. You alone are enough.”

Xia Lei smiled. “Yeah, I am the best.”

“Hahaha…” Long Bing let out a burst of laughter.

Xia Lei allowed himself to indulge in the sight, trying to imprint her most beautiful form in his heart.

“Tang Yuyan was sobbing today.” Long Bing heaved a long sigh. “I can’t help but feel like I’ve hurt her.”

“You’re such a soft-hearted person. You’re still thinking about her even when Yuyan and Boss Shi had tried to abuse you.”

“We’re practically sisters. I would’ve never wanted things to turn out this way… Am I really as soft-hearted as you claim?”

Xia Lei reached over and pressed around. “Well, isn’t this soft?”

A blush immediately bloomed across her face.

Under the pale moonlight, her loosened collar showed off the shape of her firm chest. The exposed span of snowy skin was even paler than the moon, softer than the lunar light it gave off. The enticing cleavage felt like it had sweet fragrant wine flowing between it.

Xia Lei stared at it in a daze, forgetting to retract his wayward palm.

Xia Lei shook his head.

A day had passed and Xia Lei found himself in Thunder Horse Military Factory’s garage.

An incomplete ZTZ100 model main battle tank was laid on the assembly platform. Sylvia, Annina and Xia Lei were busy as hell. Dressed in their work overalls, almost every inch of their body was covered in grease. It wasn’t just the three of them bustling around the garage at this moment. There were many Thunder Horse elites working hard for the birth of their tank.

Though this ZTZ100 battle tank had borrowed a part of Germany’s Leopard 2 Tank’s technology, it was not an exact replica of it. The Leopard 2 Tank was only about fifty-five tonnes heavy while the soon to be completed ZTZ100 tank was going to reach a shocking weight of sixty-five tonnes. It would be heavier than the Leopard 2 by ten tonnes and heavier than the newest American M1A3 main battle tank by twelve tonnes! Simply put, it meant that Thunder Horse’s first tank would be the biggest main battle tank in the world.

Not only was its size impressive, but also included all the most advanced technologies Thunder Horse Organization could offer.

Its turret was about as long as its body. The impressive turret helped increase the thickness of the armour, which gave an advantage to its survivability in a real battle. Besides that, its armour was birthed from relentless research by the Thunder Horse Military Factory. The tank was equipped with the newest ceramic reactive armour, which would allow it to resist armour-piercing projectiles from a 155-mm main gun. This feature was superior to that of the M1A3 main battle tank, which too had a ceramic reactive armour but only resist armour-piercing projectiles form a 144-mm main gun.

Big body and large space meant more room for projectiles. The impressive capacity would naturally require a better engine. The engine that would be used for the ZTZ100 main battle tank was the very same engine used in the Sweeper infantry fighting vehicle. It was refined and given the name ‘Thunder Engine 2’. Its horsepower reached an astonishing 2500 hp. This sheer power was stronger than the M1A3 engine by one third!

Most importantly, the engine was able to have the ZTZ100 tank accelerate from its stationary phase to 100 km/h in only eight seconds. The fastest the M1A3 could go was only 82 km/h, and it was considered the most advanced tank so far!

In the firepower system aspect, Thunder Horse Organization had installed their very own fire control system into the ZTZ100. The system consisted of a laser rangefinder, a ballistic computer, a gunner's stabilized sight, a two-way gun stabilization and control instruments. It also included various sensors, along with an automatic bomb refill system and a comprehensive thermal imager.

Under Huang Xuewen’s leadership, the Artificial Intelligence department had played a great role in the development of the fire control system. AI technology had a massive role in ZTZ100’s fire control system. In battle, the combination of strong firepower and AI technology would essentially make them invincible!

Firepower wise, the tank was given the 150-mm smoothbore, produced and researched entirely in the organization’s explosives garage. The smoothbore would allow the tank to attack with a variety of special projectiles. One of its main weapons was the armour-piercing projectile that could destroy a 900-mm homogenous steel armour three thousand and five hundred metres away. With assistance from the laser rangefinder, any shot projectile could penetrate any armoured target within a twelve-kilometre radius!

Other than that, the tank carried three 7.62-mm machine guns and one 12.7-mm remote control machine gun. It was similar to the M1A3 tank, but the difference was that any gun produced by Thunder Horse was certified the most advanced in the world. This required no further proof as the XL2500 sniper rifle and the gust assault rifle were solid facts to the statement!

They had real results as proof of their capabilities.

When the ZTZ100 main battle tank is completed and birthed, the most advanced tank in the planet would no longer be the American M1A3. The title shall be robbed and given to Thunder Horse’s ZTZ100!

“Lukas, half a month more. In another half month, we’ll be able to give you the most advanced tank in the world,” said Annina in the ZTZ100 cockpit. Currently, she was busy with debugging the hydraulic assist system.

Xia Lei flashed them a smile. “You both had worked very hard. When the ZTZ100 tank is off the production line, you two should take a well-deserved break.”

Sylvia, on the other hand, was installing spare parts. “Yeah, we’ve been worked to the bone. As soon this project is finished, Annina and I have travel plans to Greece. Lukas, would you like to come with us?”

“You’re going to Greece?” Xia Lei was surprised, but there was some budding worry in his heart.

“Yeah, we’d like to go to the Aegean Sea and the Temple of Athena. Are you really not going to come with us?” Sylvia looked at Xia Lei in anticipation.

“I’m afraid I would not have the time. You two should go there and have some fun. I can arrange it for you.” On the inside, Xia Lei thought to himself, “If the Japanese and Americans learn that they’re going to Greece for a trip, they’d surely do something. But I think it should be fine if I have a member of the Chinese Zodiac Battle Team protecting them. They’ve both contributed heavily and have worked extra hard for a long time. I can’t just deprive them of a simple request like this.”

“Lukas, can you step back a little?” Sylvia’s voice interrupted his thought.

“Huh?” Xia Lei snapped out of it. But before he could do as she asked, a thick bottom made an abrupt appearance before his face. Spotting Xia Lei on the top of the ZTZ100 main battle tank, Fan Fan immediately broke into a smile, waving at him from a distance.

Xia Lei leapt down from the turret and went over to greet them.
