《TranXending Vision》Chapter 887 - Forget About Me, I'm Not a Good Man

There was a box in Xia Lei's arms when he re-entered the room.
At the same time, Yu Shanhe and Ling Han focused their gazes on Xia Lei. To them, Xia Lei was just like an annoying fly. There was just no way to get rid of him.
Xia Lei took a seat before the table. He then began to speak. “Good news, I’m now your interrogator.”
“You?” Ling Han scoffed coldly. “You’re qualified for this?”
Yu Shanhe extended an arm to retrieve the newspaper on the table. The older man had no heart to read its contents but this was a blatant display of disregard!
Nonchalantly, Xia Lei said, “It looks like you both are not planning to cooperate.”
“Scram,” jeered Ling Han.
There was a smile on Xia Lei’s face rather than a scowl. “I understand that you don’t wish to see me. But let me tell you this. If I leave this place, I swear I will bring trouble to your families. I’m not afraid of problems and I don’t give a damn about your accomplices and associates. I’ll make sure that anyone who messes with me will perish. If I can handle both of you, I’ll be able to handle them.”
Ling Han glared at Xia Lei dangerously.
Yu Shanhe could no longer continue his act. The older man was now looking at Xia Lei. Other than the hatred in his expression, there was now the new addition of worry.
“Very well. Now that you are willing to listen, let’s begin.” Xia Lei opened the cardboard box, beginning to take out its contents and displaying them on the table.
Those were pieces of evidence of Yu Shanhe’s illegal deeds and sins.
Abruptly, Yu Shanhe lunged forward in an attempt to snatch away the documents.
Xia Lei quickly grabbed his wrist then pushed him backwards. “Don’t try to do anything funny.”
Tripping a little, Yu Shanhe fell onto the floor. He yelled, “How dare you!”
Ling Han hurriedly helped Yu Shanhe up. “Xia Lei, how bold of you! How dare you attack Officer Yu!”
Xia Lei chuckled lowly. “At this point, I wouldn’t bother with the high and mighty act. You both better humble down and keep your hands to yourself. Try me and I’ll beat the shit out you. What are you going to do about me? Sue me? Or get someone to mess me up real good?”
Yu Shanhe was so furious that he ran out of words to say. Even if he was able to instruct some people remotely for the job, those men were no match for Xia Lei. In fact, they wouldn’t even be able to come near him!
Ling Han could only swallow down the dissatisfaction of defeat. He could never win over Xia Lei, no matter physical fights or verbal argument. Xia Lei was his nemesis!
In another room, Long Bing and Tang Yuyan sat in front of a surveillance feedback display. The two women were watching over the happenings inside the room.
“Wow, he actually pushed Yu Shanhe onto the ground.” Tang Yuyan was genuinely surprised.

However, Long Bing didn’t seem to register her words. There was a poorly concealed smile on her lips. The smile was that of absolute happiness.
“Oi, I’m talking to you. Stop sending heart-eyes over the screen.” Tang Yuyan begrudgingly hit the back of Long Bing’s head, albeit lightly.
It was only then that Long Bing responded, “What did you say?”
Tang Yuyan sighed in defeat.
Long Bing returned her attention to the display screen. She didn’t know why but the sight of Xia Lei made her heart race. She felt so comforted and there was even an urge to sleep with him.
“Uh, Ah Bing, let’s talk about some BFF tier topics.”
“What BFF tier topics?”
“How many times had you have sex with Xia Lei?”
Long Bing turned to look at Xia Lei weirdly. Sheepishly, she questioned, “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Alright, fine. How about another question? Was he… good?”
“Have you not slept with him?”
Tang Yuyan rolled her eyes at Long Bing. “If I had, would I need to ask?” Though she seemed irritated, her mind kept bringing her back to that night with Xia Lei in West province Dawang. She and Xia Lei had shared some intimate moments in the RV, but that surely hadn’t counted as sex.
Long Bing gaped awkwardly. She had never expected Tang Yuyan to ask such a bold question. She found herself helplessly thinking back to all the unspeakable things she had done with Xia Lei. Those sensual images turned her into a morning lily, whose petals were dripping with droplets of dew.
“Come on, we’re women. What is there to be bashful about?” Tang Yuyan nudged the tip of her elbow against Long Bing’s slim waist.
Long Bing was in a daze. She stared blankly before replying belatedly, “You’ll know if you try.”
Long Bing began to inch closer to Tang Yuyan’s ear. “He… He uh…”
Now was Tang Yuyan’s turn to gape to the point where she just decided to let her jaw hang open. Her cheeks were beginning to become feverishly warm, gaining some flush in the process.
“You’re not a little girl anymore. You should experience it for yourself.” After muttering those scandalous things, Long Bing turned to advise Tang Yuyan with the tone of an experienced woman.
“Hmph! You’re just eager for me to find some other men.” Tang Yuyan flashed Long Bing the white of her eyes.
“I’m calling this quits. You should just continue to be the obedient, docile daughter to your Tang family.” Long Bing decided to ignore Tang Yuyan, focusing her attention back onto the screen.
On the other hand, Tang Yuyan tried to grasp what Long Bing had just said. There was some sadness in her eyes.
Continue being the obedient, docile daughter to the Tang family?
Was this the way she wanted to live her life?
Tang Yuyan had no clue.
In the interrogation room beside, Xia Lei continued to pressure Yu Shanhe and Ling Han.
“Now that I’m in charge of you, I’d allow you to leave some funds to your family. At least they’d be able to live the rest of their lives with ease. If you continue to not cooperate with me, the bureau would have no choice but to get the higher-ups involved in this. By that time, you’d probably be forced to vomit out more than you can eat. Any family members who benefited or were involved in your deeds will receive their respective punishment. There’s no point in hoping for their safety. I’ll be sure to bring them out one by one and have them exposed under the limelight.” Xia Lei’s tone was calm but every word was laced with threat.

Yu Shanhe remained silent, not making a single sound.
Ling Han’s face was turning pale and green. There was a sheen in his eye.
All of this hadn’t gone unnoticed by Xia Lei. Stoic, he mentioned, “Mister Ling, I know what kind of relationship you shared with Song Baicheng’s woman. Song Baicheng’s son is actually yours. You’ve harmed a great number of people in your life. Are you serious about harming your own son at this stage?”
Ling Han bit his lower lip, face horrifyingly pale. “What do you mean?”
Xia Lei answered, “You really want me to go into detail? Let me summarize this for you. He will become an orphan. There would be no inheritance left under his name. Do you want your son to grow up in an orphanage? Or would you rather see him homeless on the streets, earning small pennies by collecting recyclables?”
“Enough! That’s enough!” Ling Han clenched his fists hard. The man had already lost all control of his emotions.
“Do you think anything will change even if I didn’t say a word?” Xia Lei scoffed mockingly. “Since we were able to get you here, you should’ve already known your fate. What is the point of struggling?”
Ling Han and Yu Shanhe looked at each other.
Xia Lei stood up from his seat, stowing all the displayed pieces of evidence into the cardboard box.
Yu Shanhe voiced, “How did you get all of these?”
“I paid a visit to your home.” Xia Lei continued, “You should be clear that this is only a tiny part of it. It will not only be your dirt. Your wife, your son, and all of your relatives’ dirt will not be spared by me. And you, Ling Han, I will dig out every single dirt you have along with the people around you. I can assure you that what the investigation team can’t find, I can find. The more I find, the heavier your crimes, right? You two still want to play this game? Then know this, you can’t beat me!”
Once everything was back into its box, Xia Lei lifted it and left the room.
But as he got to the door, Yu Shanhe finally called out. “Wait!”
Xia Lei halted his footsteps, a smile slowly appearing over his face. “You’re finally willing to cooperate?”
Yu Shanhe only nodded his head meekly. At that moment, he was a defeated athlete at the mercy of his opponent. The person who had him defeated was Xia Lei.
Ling Han lifelessly hung his head low. His arrogance, his dreams and everything he had left him in that split second. The man looked like he had aged ten years.
Xia Lei returned to his seat and flipped the transcript open. “Let us begin…”
Within an hour, Xia Lei was out of the interrogation room. What Shi Boren was reluctant to handle and what Long Bing couldn’t finish was easily completed by him.
Tang Yuyan and Long Bing were already waiting for him at the door.
Swiftly, Xia Lei returned the transcript into Long Bing’s hands. “I’ll skip meeting Boss Shi. Please pass this back to him.”
Long Bing nodded in response. “Please wait for me. I’ll sign off work as soon as I get this to Boss Shi. Come to my place, I’ll cook dinner for you tonight.”
Xia Lei flashed her a gentle smile. “Sure, I’ll wait for you.” He was a busy man but nonetheless willing to spare some time for Long Bing.
The display had Tang Yuyan’s heart clenched in sourness. “Can you both please not be so shameless?”
It probably would've been better if she said nothing. Now that she had chided them, Long Bing abruptly reversed back to whisper into Xia Lei’s ear. “Didn’t you ask for a child? I promise I’ll give it a good hard thought.”
Xia Lei could feel his heart exploding with delight. But as soon as he caught sight of Tang Yuyan’s scrutinizing gaze, he zipped his mouth shut. The man nodded instead.
Ending her sentence, Long Bing left a peck on his cheek.
She was doing this on purpose.
What Shi Boren and Tang Yuyan did to her had her disheartened. Despite that, Long Bing was not a pushover and she was most definitely not an easy target. She had her own method of retaliation. So Tang Yuyan didn’t want to see her and Xia Lei being all lovey-dovey, right? Not only was she going to get handsy all around Xia Lei, but she was also going to get showered in his affection right in front of her face!
With that, Long Bing left to find Shi Boren.
Tang Yuyan quickly blocked Xia Lei’s path. “Are you really going to live a life like this?”
Xia Lei answered, “I think it’s pretty good, I’m happy.”
“Fan Fan allows you to sleep around?”
Xia Lei frowned at her choice of words. “What do you mean? Ah Bing and I share a long history together. She has helped me more times than I can count. She likes me and I like her. How could this be considered sleeping around?”
“What about Liang Siyao?”
“She’s the first woman that I’ve ever loved. Not to mention, she’s the daughter of my master. We have been family since the start. It’s true that we had a bumpy past but we’ve moved on. Is there a problem with that?”
“What about Jiang Ruyi?”
“Jiang Ruyi is a childhood friend of mine. We have had feelings budding for each other since young. What wrong is there for us to get together?”
“What about Fan Fan?”
“She was arranged with me by the authorities. How could I say no to that?”
“You…” Tang Yuyan was so angry that her tears were threatening to flow out.
Xia Lei sighed and spoke as he brushed past her, “I’m sorry, please forget about me. I’m not a good man and I’ll never be the good man the Tang family wants.”
Tang Yuyan was now in tears.
