Most ladies would ignore guys who yell like that. However, the lady in a long white dress got up and walked over.

She had a beautiful figure, so gorgeous that she would be crowned the queen of beauties and no one would argue. From her face to her body, even the most critical people would not be able to find one flaw.

When she was seated, she was pretty. But when she got up and walked, even Yu Shanhe and Ling Han were stunned. She had a special aura to her, like a fairy from the legends. She tripped and fell unto Xia Lei, one of her heels fell on the floor.

Ling Han and Yu Shanhe couldn’t help but take a look at each other.

Who was this lady?

How could such a pretty lady sound so crazy?

“Mmm.” Xia Lei cleared his throat. “Miss, you alright?”

“I’m fine.” The lady bent over to pick her shoe up then sat on the chair and put it on.

Ling Han watched her intently, cautious against her every move.

When she was done putting on her shoe, she looked up at him. “What are you looking at? I'll scratch your eyes out!”

Ling Han suddenly said, “You both know each other?”

“Yes, she’s my friend,” said Xia Lei.

Yu Shanhe suddenly slammed the table. “Xia Lei! What are you trying to do by inviting her here?”

“She’s just here for a drink with us?” Xia Lei said with a smile. “Do you really have to be so nervous?”

Yu Shanhe said coldly, “I don’t want to waste time with you. Little Ling, call them.”

Ling Han picked up his phone to dial the investigation team.

Xia Lei turned to the lady. “Get him to make a call to instruct the investigators to leave the place and destroy all evidence at hand.”

The lady blinked, staring with her large eyes. She pointed a finger at Ling Han seated opposite her. “Uncle Xia, him?”

“Yes, him,” said Xia Lei.

The lady turned to Ling Han, her glare suddenly turned peculiar and deep. In a moment, she turned into another person. If she was an angel a few moments ago, she was a demon now!”

Ling Han froze.

Yu Shanhe laughed instead. “Xia Lei, are you joking?”

However, Ling Han suddenly dialled a number and spoke into the phone, “Retreat. Destroy all evidence.”

Yu Shanhe’s smile froze.

Ling Han put down his phone and sat unmovingly. His gaze was empty like he had lost his soul.

Yu Shanhe suddenly sensed danger and prepared to leave. However, he realised he could not control his legs. Standing up from a chair was something a toddler could do, yet he couldn’t!

“You… You…” Yu Shanhe paused. “What did you do to me?”

Xia Lei said calmly, “Just let him sit there like an honest man. I have to talk to him. He may speak but not loudly.”

“Alright, he’ll be good,” said the lady.

There was only one lady who could do such a thing. Zhu Xuanyue. It was too bad Yu Shanhe and Ling Han were both not aware of her existence. If they did, they would never have agreed to dinner!

A surge of panic flooded his systems, Yu Shanhe lost control of his emotions as he roared, “Help!”

He had used all his energy to yell but to no avail. His voice sounded like it was coming from the speaker of a phone!

Sweat sprouted from his forehead but he could not move to wipe it.

Xia Lei said monotonously, “Yu Shanhe, you are powerful but that doesn’t make me afraid. The Americans and Japanese couldn’t kill me, what made you think you could? On the contrary, it will be easy for me to kill you.”

“You… You better watch out! I... I am not someone you can touch.” Yu Shanhe’s voice was faint but he tried hard so Xia Lei could hear him.

“Killing you would bring many consequences, so I will not kill you. However, you don’t know that your bosses have already been conducting investigations on you, right?”

“You… What are you saying? Bring me to the hospital and we can forget our past. I guarantee not to cause you any trouble.” He was terrified.

“Why should I agree?” asked Xia Lei coldly. “You must still remember the information you had Song Baicheng leak to the Japanese, right? Four of my good friends died during the operation at Dawang. They were my family. You killed four of my family members, you think I can forget it?”

“You… what nonsense are you spouting!” Yu Shanhe raged.

Fear, shock, hatred, regret. All the emotions surged upon his being but he could not do a thing. At this moment, the lady next to Xia Lei lifted a glass of wine. She did not drink, just held it in her hand. At his surprise, the wine froze until rose-coloured ice was left in the glass!

“Uncle Xia, he’s looking at me.” Zhu Xuanyue put down the glass and pointed at Yu Shanhe like a tattletale kid who was bullied.

“What do you want to do about it?” Xia Lei asked with a smile.

“I want him to become a dog, like Secretary Qing.”

Xia Lei recalled how Qing Caiyue ‘became a dog’, arching her ass in the air as she carried a piece of sausage in her mouth. However, he absolutely did not want to see Yu Shanhe and Ling Han do that. Just the thought was enough to make him nauseous.

“What about we play a game for them to tell the truth.”

“Tell the truth?” Zhu Xuanyue looked at him blankly.

“Yeah, a game to tell the truth.” Xia Lei took out his phone. “Get him to confess to everything bad he has ever done. More importantly, talk about anything related to bribery and corruption. And how he leaked information to the Japanese through Ling Han and Song Baicheng, and how he killed Song Baicheng’s family.”

“How is that fun? I already know what is in his head. I can tell you that, I don’t need him to tell you.”

Xia Lei was shocked. “How do you know?”

If Zhu Xuanyue hadn’t told him, he wouldn’t have known!

Xia Lei finally understood why she was only afraid of him. It was because he was the only person she couldn’t control! If he was like a regular person, he would be like her dog by now!

“You… You…” Yu Shanhe’s voice shook more violently. “Who… Who the hell are you both?”

Xia Lei leaned forward to his face and said in a low voice, “We were the people tasked with sending you to hell. Perhaps in your next life when you have repaid all your debts, I will tell you why.” Then, he opened the camera on his phone. “Xuanyue, let’s begin.”

Zhu Xuanyue’s gaze fell on him and she gave a mild look.

He began to recall every shady and illegal deal or act he had committed.

Ling Han sat next to him, unmoving like a piece of wood.

Zhu Xuanyue continued playing with the frozen glass of red wine as if it was very interesting.

This was a peculiar scene yet no one looked over. No one asked questions either. That was because, in this restaurant, Xia Lei was the only normal person there!
