Fan Fan’s aim was to study Xia Lei, but his aim was to disrupt her study. Fan Fan was eager to start on her work, so he had to get into the state to hinder her in time. This was just an experimental hindrance, but it had its own significance too.

“What’s the purpose of taking these pictures?” asked Xia Lei.

“I’ll run them through a software to create a three dimensional image. Of course, I’ll add in pictures of your organs later on, but the equipment here can’t do that so I’ll have to wait until next time,” said Fan Fan. She put her phone away.

Xia Lei smiled and said, “You have to keep these pictures safe and don’t leak them. You can look at them yourself, but please don’t show them to other people.”

“I, I’m doing this for my work! I’m not going to look at pictures of you for no reason.” Fan Fan was a little nervous. “I’m going to touch your body now. Y, you don’t have to be nervous.”

“I’m not nervous at all. But you, on the other hand, seem very nervous. Why are you nervous?”

“What makes you think I’m nervous? I’m not nervous.” Not only was Fan Fan nervous, she was panicking too.

Xia Lei stretched his arms out confidently. “I’m ready. You can touch anywhere you want.”

“D, don’t say it like that. I, I’m not talking to you anymore.” Fan Fan shut her mouth as she’d said, then went behind Xia Lei and started touching him from the back of his head. Her hands felt at him, slowly moving down. Her fingers slipped over his neck, shoulders, back, waist...

“Fan Fan, um, is there anything wrong with me?”

“Huh? No! No problem!” Xia Lei had startled Fan Fan.

“Then what’s your hand looking for?”

“I… I’m not talking to you,” said Fan Fan. She shut her mouth with a huff.

A faint smile appeared in the corners of Xia Lei’s mouth. Fan Fan was a highly intelligent woman, but she had a critical weakness — her special physique.

Now that he thought about it, this should be Fan Fan’s secret. He wouldn’t have known if she hadn’t reacted with climaxing when he carried her in Yongle Store.

“Fan Fan, your body is very special. Does your grandfather know?” Xia Lei asked tentatively.

“It turned out that Fan Yiming didn’t know. That’s good, then.” Xia Lei’s smile grew even more obvious. If Fan Yiming didn’t know, the people from Bureau ZN definitely wouldn’t either. They wouldn’t assign Fan Fan to be in charge of such an important job if they did.

Fan Fan’s hand moved to Xia Lei’s lower abdomen, noting how peculiar it was. He had a hard eight-pack, but he also had delicate, white skin. Many men had an eight-pack, but none possessed Xia Lei’s degree of abdominal muscle.

Fan Fan’s hands slid down his abdomen, and her fingers shook slightly. Her sensitivity became even more intense when she was in front of Xia Lei.

“You won’t check there, right?” Xia Lei was actually getting quite nervous too.

“D, Don’t have any strange thoughts.” Fan Fan’s voice trembled. “This is work. It’s, it’s not what you think. I, I have to finish the checkup, so I can’t leave out any part.”

“So you’re really going toー” Xia Lei voice was gone before he could finish his sentence.

“D, don’t get any weird thoughts!” warned Fan Fan as she continued her work.

“Xia Lei!” Long Bing’s voice came from outside the villa.

Xia Lei and Fan Fan were both nervous, and they touched in a manner which was equal parts awkward and intimate in their panic.

“Y, you!” Fan Fan covered her face. She was extremely humiliated and angry, but was unable to criticise Xia Lei. She was the one who had moved closer, so how could she blame him?

“Hurry up!” urged Xia Lei.

Long Bing also had the authority to enter. Who knew what she’d think if she came in and saw this scene?

“I, I’m done.” Fan Fan seemed to be afraid of being seen by others. They were in a room after all, and not in a laboratory. It would be easy for people to misunderstand.

Xia Lei sighed in relief when he heard that she was done. He quickly dressed himself and strode out the door without bothering about her anymore.

Once Xia Lei was out of the villa, Long Bing said, “Let’s take a stroll in the mountains.”

Xia Lei paused. “A stroll in the mountains?”

“Don’t ask. Let’s go.” Long Bing didn’t care if he’d agreed. She walked towards the villa’s back gate.

Xia Lei thought it strange that she would come all the way over just to take a stroll with him. It wasn’t like her, so she must have something she wanted to talk to him about. He followed her to the back gate too. Perhaps it was because the feeling of desire that welled up within him hadn’t dissipated yet, but he couldn’t control his gaze. His eyes rested on Long Bing’s alluring behind and were filled with excitement and desire.

“Is Fan Fan from the Academy of Science here too?” asked Long Bing casually.

“Yes, she wants to stay here,” replied Xia Lei.

Long Bing looked back at Xia Lei. “She’ll be living here?”

Xia Lei smiled wryly. “I don’t really have a choice. I was just about to tell you that I’ve run into some trouble.”

“What trouble?”

“Having me join the Academy of Science isn’t a good thing. Fan Yiming and Fan Fan are actually targeting me.”

“What’s going on?”

Xia Lei thought for a bit, and said, “I’m the only one who can touch the ancient alloy, and the two of them have considered me to be the key to unraveling the ancient alloy’s secret. They’re here to conduct research on me.”

Long Bing wrinkled her brow. “How can they do this to you? It’s too much! Who ordered this?”

“Have you heard about Bureau ZN?”

Long Bing’s expression suddenly changed, and she looked as if she wanted to say something.

“You haven't?”

“I have, but I’ve never seen or interacted with anyone from that organisation.”

Xia Lei was a little disappointed at her response. If someone like Long Bing hadn’t even interacted with anyone from Bureau ZN, then it really was shrouded in an unimaginable level of mystery.

“You don’t need to worry. I’ll talk to Boss Shi when I go back. They can’t do this to you, and if they won’t listen to just me, I’ll let Tang Yuyan talk to him too. She has the Tang Sect backing her up, so her words hold more weight than mine. She’d definitely be willing to help you too,” assured Long Bing.

Xia Lei shook his head. “No need. There’s no point in talking to Boss Shi. It’s honestly nothing I can’t handle, so you don’t need to bother so much about it. Anyways, you didn’t come looking for me just to go on a stroll, right? Tell me what’s going on.”

“Let’s talk when we’re on the mountain,” said Long Bing.
