The fourth night was quiet as usual, but Leguna couldn't be busier. There was one thing that came as quite a surprise to him. According to the past three days, he had thought that Sartre's banquet would have rather impressive guests, but most of those attending that day were small-time guild owners.
Don't nobles look down on small business tycoons like this the most? Why would Sartre strike up a relationship with them?
Leguna could only explain it away with Sartre's mother being from a similar merchant guild like that. It wasn't surprising for them to have connections with other merchants.

Who would want to adventure with a psychic paraplegic, a battle-crazy cultivator addicted to monster implants, a psychotic woman too close to her familiars, and a stoic from a demonic sect? At least they seem strong and more than willing to let him lead the charge.

Expect guilds, dungeons, skills, stats, and, levels as he progresses through the main story of the game and tries to uncover what secrets the game has to hide. Okay, stereotypical introduction over. This is my first time trying to release a story I've written, so feedback is welcome. The premise is nothing special, I just want to do it well. A lot of similar stories I've read make me ask "what kind of game would work like that?" Sometimes believable gameplay elements give way for a more immersive story, but I hope to make that as balanced as possible rather than going for cheap thrills. Well, I guess we will just see how this goes.
