As the tall blue reeds gently swayed in the wind, small ripples broke the surface of the water.
Amidst the reeds was a hat made out of weaved flowers. Underneath the hat was purple hair and a youthful and adorable smiling face.
The smiling face was particularly beautiful and enchanting, and the young girl’s blinking eyes were as spirited and pretty as a pure spring of water.
The young girl was holding bunches of reeds in her hands. Her small pink lips pressed forward, and she gave a light blow. The bunch of reeds instantly flew up into the air like soft blue feathers. It looked beautiful.
The young girl immediately let out a laughter that resembled the sounds of spring.
“Mommy, mommy, come and look…” the young girl ran out from the reeds. She excitedly called out to a woman sitting on the grassy ground.
There were a few reeds circling the running young girl. For some reason, they kept following her, circling her, and escorting her. It was like they were taking care of and protecting their young princess.
The woman on the grass was quietly sitting there. Like the girl, she also had beautiful purple hair that resembled a waterfall. Her hair touched the grass from her sitting position.
She ignored the young girl’s joyous laughter and raised her head, staring at the slowly setting sun in the horizon.
The young girl was very obedient, and didn’t disturb her. A while later, she seemed to have gotten tired from playing. She cutely and obediently laid down on her mother’s leg, curling up into a ball like a small cat.
The sun had set, and the last ray of light disappeared from the land. The absolutely beautiful mother seemed to be thinking about something. Her hands were placed softly on the young girl’s head, and she softly stroked her.
“Si Qie, we’re going to go back.”
“Go back? Will we be able to see daddy after we go back?” a smile instantly rose on the young girl’s face.
“You don’t have a dad.”

However, the Unwanted operate solely as a tool for the elite and the cities they operated in, they fight wars, clear dungeons, kill mad kings/monsters, etc. The main character who you will come to know his name is one of these Unwanted, and within his team are other people like him. They are all strong and went through the gruelling training process and now they operate as field agents. Follow them as they under go missions and experience life. [participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.
