“International?” Su Tao laughed before he teased, “No wonder you’re trying to make yourself bigger. Otherwise, you won’t have any competitiveness in the international market with your figure.”

It was mainly because Su Tao had exposed her inner thoughts.

In the evening, a Mercedes-Benz stopped outside the Three Flavour Hall as Gu Rushan went in. From Hanzhou City, she would have to spend three hours traveling to Yunhai City.

After sending Gu Rushan off, Su Tao received a call from Yan Jing, and her voice sounded somewhat anxious, “Hua Yan is missing!”

Knowing that Hua Yan was Yan Jing’s Achilles’ heel, Su Tao hurriedly comforted, “Calm down first. I’ll come and look for you now!”

Half an hour later, Su Tao arrived in the villa and saw Yan Jing covering her face with the nanny standing beside her anxiously.

“I went to pick up little missy earlier today, but I couldn’t find her.” The nanny explained in a gibberish tone.

“What did the kindergarten say about that?” Su Tao locked his brows together.

“They said that little missy was picked up by someone else.” The nanny replied as she added, “They said that the person who picked little missy up was her uncle!”

“Hua Yan was taken away?” Su Tao frowned.

Su Tao sorted out his thoughts. Yan Jing must’ve allowed Hua Ling to interact with Hua Yan since he was Hua Yan’s left few relatives left in the world. After all, there was no harm to have an additional relative in the world.

Under Yan Jing’s acknowledgment, Hua Ling has been interacting well with Hua Yan.

Looking at Yan Jing being so dejected with regrets, he had never seen Yan Jing in this state ever since they knew each other.

In the eyes of others, Yan Jing has been an independent woman, but Su Tao knew about Yan Jing’s soft side of her.

“That’s right. Their interaction was permitted by me!” Yan Jing raised her head as she continued, “But I never imagined that he would use his own niece. I just gave him a call, but he did not pick it up and only left me a message.”

“What was the message that he left you?” Su Tao locked his brows together.

Yan Jing then handed her phone over to Su Tao. After Su Tao read through the message, his expression became cold, “He wanted you to leave the Three Flavour International?”

Nodding her head, Yan Jing replied, “I wouldn’t be so worried if he only wanted money. But the situation was clear now that he was under someone’s instruction.”

Su Tao instantly figured out that this incident might have something to do with him as he immediately thought about Wang Guofeng and Qin Jingyu. Was this a scheme from them to get her to leave him?

Taking a deep breath, Yan Jing replied, “Calm down. Nothing will happen to Hua Yan for the time being. Keep calm for now and wait for them to call you before negotiating about the terms.”

“Are we not going to call the cops?” Yan Jing suddenly asked.

“Don’t call the cops! We can’t afford to put Hua Yan in more danger.” Su Tao replied decisively.

Calling the cops would only alert their enemies inadvertently. Not to mention that if Qin Jingyu was the mastermind, calling the cops would be futile.

If Yan Jing still had her rationale, she would definitely not make the suggestion. But evidently, she had lost her rationale at this moment.

Hua Ling was driving Hua Yan as they arrived in a small town a hundred miles away from Hanzhou City. They were currently in Huaibei Province now, which made it impossible for Yan Jing to find them for the time being.

According to their agreement, Hua Ling would hand Hua Yan over to them and his mission would be complete.

Hua Yan fell asleep the moment she boarded the car, and when she woke up, the sky was already dark. Seeing that she was in an unfamiliar environment, she immediately became terrified, “Uncle, where are we going? I want to go home!”

“Do you have any food? The child’s hungry!” Hua Ling sighed inwardly. He will be leaving in a while, and if he could find food for Hua Yan, it could allow her to suffer lesser.

“I’ll go take a look around.” The middle-aged man sneered in disdain as he swept a glance at Hua Ling.

A brief moment later, the middle-aged man returned with instant noodles as Hua Ling stirred the instant noodles with a plastic fork and smiled, “Eat up!”

Looking at Hua Ling timidly, Hua Yan nodded her head before she replied softly, “Uncle, you’re also hungry, so you should eat first!”

“Uncle is an adult, so I’m not hungry. You eat up instead!” Hua Ling smiled awkwardly as his face changed.

Nodding her head innocently, Hua Yan was truly hungry as she began eating.

Looking at how obedient Hua Yan was, Hua Ling felt reluctant in his heart. He wanted to leave this place with Hua Yan, but it was too late for regret now that they were here.

While he was struggling in his heart, the middle-aged man that left a deep impression in him walked over as he stood up nervously, “I have already brought Hua Ling over as you’d requested.”

“Well done! You can leave now!” The middle-aged man smiled as he patted on Hua Ling’s shoulder.

However, Hua Ling had still not recovered from the shock as he still stood there.

Looking at Hua Ling, the middle-aged man knitted his brows before he patted on Hua Ling’s cheeks, “I said that you can leave now!”

“Uh! Thank you!” Hua Ling immediately recovered from the shock.

When he took half a step back, he suddenly heard Hua Yan’s voice, “Uncle, where are you going?”

Hua Ling immediately held his foot when he heard the voice and balled his fists together, struggling with the urge to leave with Hua Yan.

“Stop crying!” The middle-aged man knitted his brows and hoaxed, “I’ll beat you up if you continue crying!”

Receiving such fright from the middle-aged man, Hua Yan began crying louder.

Just when the middle-aged man raised his hand and wanted to give Hua Yan a slap, his subordinate came out from the room and shouted, “Boss, you have a call!”

Putting his hands down, the middle-aged man looked at Hua Yan coldly and ordered, “I hate hearing kids crying. Lock her up in the warehouse!”
