After Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura got off from work, they had a habit of briefly visiting the nearby clubhouse. As doctors of the most famous hospital in Kyoto, they had a high salary, so they could naturally support their spending. But today, Shin Nomura was the one treating, so Naoto Ohshima ordered an expensive cocktail on purpose, which made the former somewhat happy. “That Yu Omuri must have gotten some dogshit luck to actually be acquainted with the Vice-President!” Shin Nomura furiously spat out. He did not look down on Yu Omuri because of Natsuki Sakamoto, but he felt that it’s unbelievable for someone who didn’t have a specialty to survive in the hospital.

Putting it blatantly, he was jealous of Yu Omuri. He had relied on flattering others to gain a footing in the hospital, but Yu Omuri managed to do it without any background or connections, which he felt that it was unreasonable.

“I definitely must kick Yu Omuri out of the hospital!” Naoto Ohshima slammed on the table, startling the ladies beside him.

Although Naoto Ohshima drank a lot tonight, he had clearly not reached the level that he could bring the girls out with him. Hence, he’s destined to spend his night alone today. The two of them were drunk and walked out of the clubhouse with their shoulders against each other. Naoto Ohshima handed a cigarette to Shin Nomura, but just when he wanted to light it up; he saw a group of people coming in his direction.

Before the two of them could even react, they had already been captured. Their struggle and yells were futile since they couldn’t overpower this group of people. The two of them had rags stuffed in their mouths before they were brought into a black van.

The van was crowded, but the two of them were under control with a knife running across the arteries on their necks. At this moment, if there’s a slight movement, their arteries would be severed.

A robust man laughed out in Mandarin, “This baldie is such a coward! He even peed his pants!”

“That’s normal, who wouldn’t pee their pants after encountering ruthless criminals like us?” Another man lashed out a kick on Naoto Ohshima before he cursed, “Fuck, he dirtied the car. We’re the ones cleaning it up later!”

The van drove for roughly half an hour before Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura were thrown into a dark warehouse. A brief moment later, a man with a middle-sized build walked over and said, “Didn’t I say to invite two noble guests over? Why are they in this state? Quick, free them!”

The man spoke in Japanese, which Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura knew that those words were meant for them.

It’s a tactic called slapping you before calming you down with some sweets.

After having a rag stuffed in his mouth for so long, Naoto Ohshima couldn’t even straighten his tongue anymore before he asked in a fearful and hoarse voice, “Why did you kidnap us?”

Waving his finger, the man smiled. “You’ve misunderstood. We have no intention of kidnapping the two of you, we just wanted to invite you over for a discussion. As for your suffering, it was all because of my dimwitted subordinates. They misunderstood my words, and for that, I would like to apologise to you. I will teach them a lesson later. Why haven’t you dimwits apologised to our guests yet?!”

The few who kidnapped them immediately bowed and apologised in Japanese.

At this moment, Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura were both dumbfounded before they exchanged a look. They instantly knew that they'd encountered a gang. As doctors, they would have to occasionally interact with patients that were involved in gangs, and those people weren’t someone that they could provoke.

Waving his hand to Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura, the man continued, “Please, come this way with me!”

Although Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura were both fearful, they still followed the man to a secluded room.

The room had water, fruits, and even cigarettes. The man removed the seal of the cigarette packaging and distributed them to Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura, which they carefully received. After the man lit up his cigarette, he threw the lighter to the two of them. The two of them swept a glance at the man while feeling fearful in their hearts despite seeing the smile on the other party’s face. They were afraid that they might suffer if they did not do as he instructed.

When the man saw that Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura were so obedient, he instantly felt uninterested. His style was winning people by virtue, and since the two of them were docile, he wasn’t in a position to teach the two of them a lesson.

The man flicked the cigarette ash on the ashtray and smiled. “Since the two of you have taken a cigarette from me, it can be considered as our grudges and hatred resolved. As the saying goes, we won’t know each other without conflict, and we will be friends from now on.”

Listening to his words, the cigarette hanging on Naoto Ohshima’s lips nearly dropped and he inwardly cursed. Since when was there such a unique method of making friends?

As for Shin Nomura, he also wore a bitter smile as he choked on the cigarette.

“I invited the two of you over because I needed help from you. As friends, I believe that the two of you won’t reject my request, right?” The man extinguished the cigarette in the ashtray and his voice suddenly turned solemn and oppressive.

Naoto Ohshima started trembling uncontrollably as he replied, “Please speak your instructions. As long as it’s something that can be done by us, we will definitely do our best!”

Shin Nomura also subconsciously nodded his head. He had weaker psychology than Naoto Ohshima, so he was already terrified out of his wits.

Revealing a sinister smile, the man walked over to the cabinet by the wall and retrieved a folder. There was only a piece of paper in the folder, which he placed before Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura and smiled. “According to my knowledge, the two of you shouldn’t reject this request from me.”

When Naoto Ohshima swept a glance at it, he was shocked as he exclaimed, “You want us to deal with Yu Omuri?”

The man placed his finger on his lips and hushed before he replied, “Not dealing, but giving him a wake-up call. Yu Omuri’s talents are more suitable elsewhere.”

Naoto Ohshima was somewhat baffled while wondering about the identity of these people. However, his intuition told him that they’re definitely not Yu Omuri’s friends. Otherwise, why would they ask him to deal with Yu Omuri?

If it was dealing with someone else, the two of them might hesitate. But dealing with someone without any background, connections, and someone who made them feel hatred, the two of them would naturally not refuse.

After opening the door, the man waved his hand outside and smiled. “Send these two doctors home. Remember to send them home safely!”

His subordinate immediately acknowledged his order.

After Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura left, the man gave a call to Gu Yin, and his tone suddenly became respectful, “Mr. Gu, I’ve already handed those things to Naoto Ohshima and Shin Nomura as per your request, and I will get someone to supervise them.”

“This matter must be done well.” Gu Yin acknowledged.
