《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 620 - The End of a Bunch

Shao Jing’s McLaren P1 was easily recognisable, and it was swiftly tracked down through the traffic cameras on the road. When eight task force officers entered the hotel, the receptionist was dozing off. The officers woke up the receptionist and they soon found the room that Shao Jing was currently in, Room 1806.
When the task force officers came out of the elevator, one of them swiped the card that they obtained from the receptionist. But when they tried to push the door, the door was locked from the inside. Hence, a robust man kicked and destroyed the door before everyone charged in.
In the luxurious suite, pieces of clothes were lying all around on the ground with a singlet hanging on the couch’s armrest. The entire room was filled with a peculiar smell.
In the huge bedroom, there was a man and woman sleeping on the bed. When they heard the commotion, the man was the first to be jolted awake, but he was soon pinned down. Just when the woman beside him was about to yell, she was given a slap by a female police officer. “Keep quiet!”
The woman was instantly dumbfounded. These officers wouldn’t think that she’s a prostitute servicing Shao Jing, right?
Even Shao Jing had the same thought as well. He instantly regretted picking a cheap hotel. If he’s in a luxurious 5-starred hotel, he wouldn’t be in this sort of situation.
“Do you know who I am?” Shao Jing calmly asked.
“We naturally do! This is a warrant for your arrest. Shao Jing, you’re now under arrest.” A man took out a paper.
Shao Jing instantly shut his mouth since he knew that he’s in trouble this time. But he couldn’t figure out who would dare to touch him with his father’s status and identity in Nanyue Province.
“We’re a couple!” Shao Jing tried his best to explain and continued, “Is it a crime for a couple to be in a hotel?”
“You’re suspected of arranging for the road in the Fifth Circle to be barricaded for illegal racing that led to a series of severe traffic accidents. Furthermore, you’re also suspected of being involved with the Love Representative Charity Funds. Please cooperate with us!” The man that spoke seemed to be in his fifties, and Shao Jing suddenly had an impression of this person. This person seemed to be someone on the province’s honor roll.
Since they got an experienced and senior officer to arrest him, he instantly knew that he’s in deep trouble this time.
With his head dropped, the officers all watched him wear his clothes. As for the woman, no one could be bothered about her. When everyone left, she suddenly held onto her face and sobbed. For gold diggers like her, she initially thought that she had found a potential wealthy man, but in the end, she didn’t even receive anything and that made her feel despair.

The Love Representative Charity Funds was located at Yangcheng City’s flourishing central business district. In a podium building, a single office here exceeded 2,000 square meters, but there were less than 50 employees. When the employees reported for work in the morning, they instantly felt that something was amiss about the atmosphere. There were ten-odd police vehicles along with inspection vehicles. They were all parked in the underground car park. As for the office, the office was filled with people in uniforms. There were police, taxation, commerce, and inspection officers. The moment they entered the building, they instantly sealed the finance department before announcing the office to be sealed.
The faces of the employees in the Love Representative Charity Funds instantly changed. Someone wanted to give a call to Jiang Mingxuan, but not only did they fail to contact Jiang Mingxuan, they couldn’t contact the executives as well. They had no idea that last night, all of the executives of the Love Representative Charity Funds were arrested. Even their Chairman, Jiang Mingxuan, was brought out of Nanyue Province to be interrogated.
The police made a detailed search in Jiang Mingxuan’s office, even relying on special methods to open the safe. Within the safe, they found stacks of money along with all sorts of jewelry. As for luxury watches like Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Cartier, and IWC, there were dozens of them.
While investigating the Love Representative Charity Funds, the other teams paid a visit to other charity foundations that Jiang Mingxuan was a shareholder of, in which they found a large amount of luxury goods in the safe of all his offices. In the garage of Jiang Mingxuan’s luxurious villa, there were also dozens of luxurious cars from brands like Maserati, Aston Martin, Porsche, and Ferrari. When they were found, everyone was dumbfounded since they never imagined that one could get rich so easily in the charity organisation.
They could only say that there were too many benevolent people being used to forging billionaires without any cost or capital.
As for Jiang Mingxuan’s lovers and goddaughters, their outcome was also terrible.
Take Yu Yanyan, for example. The money that she had been squandering were all donations from the Love Representative Charity Funds. Then again, out of concern for public controversy that might cause irreversible harm to the charity industry, the police gave a reason that Yu Yanyan loved to play mahjong, which her parents set up a mahjong ring. Hence, the police accused that she’s profiteering from gathering gamblers by taking fees, and they even added that she was also operating underground casinos.
When Deng Feng came to know that Shao Jing was arrested, he was instantly dumbfounded.
Just last night, he was dreaming about getting rich and ascending to a higher stage to develop. In the end, Shao Weidong’s son was arrested. Although Shao Weidong was fine for the time being, there was news that someone has started to gather his crimes.

Normally speaking, Shao Weidong had limitless prospects, and if he developed normally, he would become the only voice in Nanyue Province. However, he was dragged down by his son.
Deng Feng was feeling uneasy as he sat in his office. He never expected that he would be so unfortunate. This was his first time cooperating with Shao Jing, and he was doomed.
Without any knocking, the door to his office was opened with several people wearing uniforms barging in. Standing up from his seat, Deng Feng stretched his hands out and placed his gun on the table with a bitter smile. “I have been waiting!”
Seeing that he’s in possession of firearms, everyone started treating him seriously and they raised their pistols at his head. The moment he made a movement, they would instantly claim his life.
Then again, everyone treated him as a violent criminal, so they did not let down their guard despite him being cooperative.
Since Deng Feng was once a mercenary, he’s skilled. So there’s a certain danger when arresting him, so someone immediately charged forth and pinned him on the table before cuffing his hands.
Deng Feng closed his eyes. All along, he had been the one arresting others, but he never expected that there would be a day where he’s arrested. At this moment, he felt endless regret raging through his heart. Why was he greedy to approach Shao Jing? If he went according to his current development, he could have still lived a good life!
The one that arrested him was a young man, and out of concern that Deng Feng might retaliate, he gave a knee to the latter’s waist. Deng Feng instantly felt an intense pain assaulting him. The pain was so excruciating to the point that he felt dizzy.
At this moment, he suddenly recalled Su Tao’s reminder for him to take care of his kidneys. Hence, he started to wonder if the problem with his kidneys relapsed again. But before he could think any further, he fainted.
“He seems to have lost consciousness.” The man that arrested Deng Feng exclaimed out.
“Don’t be fooled by him. Just cuffing his hands won’t do, put shackles on his feet as well!” The leader of the team ordered.
Shackles were usually used on extremely dangerous criminals. As an anti-terrorist personnel, it’s an irony for him to be treated as a terrorist.
A few minutes later, with his hands cuffed and feet shackled, Deng Feng was dragged out like a corpse.
Cheng Qian personally came to the place that kept Su Tao to release him. When Cheng Qian saw that Su Tao’s complexion was pretty good despite having some injuries on his face, he instantly felt relieved. He now had an understanding of Su Tao’s ability, and it was this physician that came from Hanzhou City that caused the demise of Shao Jing’s group.
“Mr. Su, we’re extremely sorry about this matter. I’m Cheng Qian, and I was ordered by my superior, Mr. Cao Rong, to receive you.” Cheng Qian said as he wore a concerned expression.
“I never expected that Mr. Cao would be alarmed by this matter, I’m terribly sorry about that.” Su Tao knew that it must be Sire Shui that helped him. However, he never expected that this matter would cause such a huge commotion. At the same time, he inwardly sighed in his heart since he now owed the Shui Family another favor.
“Let me bring you to a hotel to rest first. Later today, Mr. Cao will meet you personally.” Cheng Qian smiled. At the same time, he knew that Su Tao still had no idea that the entire Nanyue Province was flipped around all because of him.
“I came here with two friends!” Su Tao naturally wouldn’t forget about Xia Yu and Liu Jianwei.
“Please be reassured, we will not make things difficult for them.” Cheng Qian waved his hand at his subordinate, to which that person nodded. Not long after, Xia Yu and Liu Jianwei were brought out.
Although the two of them suffered some injuries, their complexions looked pretty good and they were even chatting amongst themselves.
“I never expected to be released so quickly!” Xia Yu joked.
Rolling his eyes at Xia Yu, Liu Jianwei replied, “If you want, you can continue to stay here. No one will stop you from doing so.”
Scratching his head, Xia Yu replied, “Man, you lack humor.”
Whistling in their direction, Su Tao said, “It has been harsh on the two of you. I still have some matters to do, so wait for me and we’ll return to Hanzhou City together.”
Xia Yu and Liu Jianwei gave a smile in Su Tao’s direction. After this incident, their relationship was no longer that of employees and employer, but brothers.
It’s unimaginable that a private investigator, an underground arena champion, and a divine physician could become buddies.
In the hotel, Su Tao took a shower and changed into clean clothes before he followed Cheng Qian to a villa. Looking at it, Su Tao was inwardly startled. He guessed that this must be Cao Rong’s home, and for them to meet here instead of an office, it was more intimate.
When the doorbell rang, a young housekeeper opened the door. After Su Tao changed into slippers, he saw a middle-aged man in the living room with an amicable expression. He walked over to Su Tao and stretched out his hand with a smile, “Divine Physician Su, I have been wanting to meet you after hearing your name. Today, this wish of mine has finally been fulfilled!”
Upon hearing that, Su Tao was somewhat stunned. He had never seen Cao Rong before, so why was this person being so passionate to him?

Magriculture
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is, at best, a very rough draft. I have already had to do one major rewrite and several minor rewrites of entire sections of the story, and it is a virtual certainty I will have to do re-writes again. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will.Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If your looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.
