《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 594 - Great Favor

Dobrynin sat in his office with a blonde lady before him. He had seen many beauties in the past, but this blonde lady that sat before him piqued his interest. His eyes were glued on her as if he had seen a great view.
Rangure’s charming figure was revealed in an excellent posture. She knew that no men could reject the allure of her prideful figure, which she purposely brought all her charm out.
In Russia, Dobrynin was famed for having a loose life. Not only did he have many wives and children, but he’s also often involved in scandals. But even so, Dobrynin firmly sat in his position because of his family. After all, his family controlled the entire electric supply in Russia.
Hence, even if Russia was a democratic country, the influence of families was more potent than in China.
“Oh, charming Rangure. I never expected that you’d be so beautiful in real life!” Dobrynin's gaze followed down from her neck to her chest as he crossed his legs to make him feel less pressured.
“Dobrynin, you’re handsome yourself, too!” Rangure smiled and respectfully continued, “The motive of my trip is blatant; it’s regarding the aerospace technology partnership between the Shui Family and your company.”
Glancing at Rangure with a complicated light, Dobrynin asked, “This is a matter between the Shui Family and my company, so what has it got to do with you?”
“As for this matter, I was tasked by someone else.” Rangure smiled as she continued, “Someone in China thinks that you guys should reconsider the partnership, and I’m just a middleman for him.”
Dobrynin was an intelligent politician, who instantly understood Rangure’s intention and replied, “So that’s the case. Then I believe that the mess some time ago was to stop the project?”
“Let’s discuss something materialistic, like what you can obtain by helping that person!” Rangure would naturally not admit those claims.
After that, she took out a document and carefully handed it over to Dobrynin.
With a trace of shock flashing through his eyes, Dobrynin subconsciously licked his lips before he calmed down and solemnly replied, “This is a severe offense, so are you sure you want to do this?”
“Riches and wealth are obtained through danger. Whether it’s to create chaos or bring order to chaos, it’s not something I know about. But for you, you can obtain a private villa in Dortmund. As for your country, you guys will obtain a large order of firearms. So no matter how you look at it, this is a worthwhile transaction.”

Upon hearing those words, Dobrynin fell into silence for a long time. He had to admit that he was tempted by it.
But in the end, he did not return the paper to Rangure, which meant that he had accepted this cooperation. With a smile, he said, “Well, I might be even more interested if you put yourself as one of the conditions.”
“If this matter can be done smoothly, how will I reject such an outstanding man like you?” Rangure charmingly smiled.
As Dobrynin laughed, he walked to Rangure. But just when he wanted to hug Rangure, she dodged him.
Putting her finger on Dobrynin’s lips, Rangure smiled. “Mr. Dobrynin, don’t be so anxious for the time being!”
Her gaze was just right and wouldn’t cause any loathing to rise in Dobrynin’s heart.
When Rangure’s figure disappeared, Dobrynin gradually calmed down as he sat down and gave a call to his secretary. Very quickly, his secretary entered and respectfully asked, “Is there any instruction?”
“Please, have a seat and talk about Stefan’s situation!” Dobrynin pointed at the chair before him.
With a smug smile, Kuprin replied, “Stefan has been drowning himself in alcohol. He had already abandoned himself. He will no longer be able to compete with you for promotion, and that seat belongs to you now.”
Thereafter, he took out his phone and showed Dobrynin some photos that he got someone to secretly take.
After glancing at the photos for a long time, Dobrynin locked his brows together. “Stefan has always been a composed person, and it’s unlike him to make such a mistake. Is there any trickery in this?”
“Absolutely not!” Kuprin smirked as he continued, “I got news from the assistant of his personal doctor that Stefan has an excessive drinking condition. The moment he doesn’t drink, he would react like a drug addict and go insane. Even his personal doctor, Gregory, was helpless.”
Hearing those words, Dobrynin smiled. Since Stefan is gone, then he could give it a try to obstruct the cooperation with China. If he insisted on opposing it, not only could he possess a villa, he could even have some fun with that seductress.
Stefan’s eyes were red and he reeked of alcohol. He hated his current self for not being able to resist alcohol. The reason was simple: the moment his hands start to tremble, a cup of vodka would stabilise his hands. But it’s just a temporary solution, the moment the alcohol in his system was cleared, he would be in so much pain that he’d wish he was dead.

Despite being someone with self-control, Stefan couldn’t control his addiction to alcohol right now. He knew that doing this wasn’t right, but he couldn’t restrain himself from drinking. Standing by his side, his personal doctor, Gregory, was helpless since he couldn’t find the reason why Stefan became insane.
“Mr. Stefan, if you continue to drink, you will die!” Gregory advised in a helpless tone.
“I know!” Stefan burped before he bitterly smiled. “But I can’t control my desire for alcohol!”
“I think there’s a problem in this matter. Why would you suddenly drink? In the past, I’ve once told you that you can absolutely not touch alcohol with your illness!” Gregory replied.
After a brief pause, Stefan said with his breath reeking of alcohol, “It was Shui Junzhuo’s suggestion. She said that I would feel better with the help of alcohol, and in the end, I couldn’t control myself and got addicted!”
“This is fishy. Getting you to drink is a scheme since she knows that you will definitely build up a reliance for alcohol.” Gregory was shocked.
Weakly sighing, Stefan replied, “The suggestion was hers, but I was the one that ultimately made the decision. I was the one who accepted her suggestion and started drinking.”
“You must control yourself!” Gregory firmly said and continued, “Otherwise, your body will collapse!”
“Aside from getting me to quit drinking, is there any better solution?” Stefan shook his head.
“None.” Gregory felt helpless as he replied in shame.
“Then, let me die drinking!” Stefan ferociously replied, then he continued, “Anyhow, death is inevitable for me!”
He received a massive blow to his career and was currently being tortured by the disease. Hence, under the influence of alcohol, his desire to fight became weaker.
Gregory knew that alcohol had influenced Stefan’s thoughts, which he soon thought of something. Since Shui Junzhuo was the one that gave Stefan the suggestion, then perhaps she might be able to treat Stefan. The reason why she got Stefan into this state might be because she wanted him to beg her for help.
Letting out a sigh, Gregory glanced at Stefan with a complicated gaze. The two’s relationship wasn't as simple as a patient and doctor. In his heart, Gregory had considered Stefan to be his friend.
Regardless if it’s out of his professionalism or the friendship between them, Gregory had to do something to help Stefan.
Hence, he immediately left the room and found the secretary, who was waiting outside and requested, “Please help me contact Shui Junzhu immediately. I have to find her!”
Half an hour later, Gregory came to a building and met Shui Junzhuo on the third floor. When Gregory caught sight of Shui Junzhuo, he was momentarily captivated by her elegance.
After she asked Gregory to sit and brewed a cup of tea, Shui Junzhuo said, “This is this year’s harvest of Longjing tea leaves. Give it a try, and please don’t force yourself if it’s not suitable to your taste buds.”
Gregory liked drinking Chinese tea, especially chewing the tea leaves in his mouth since there would be a fragrance spreading out. However, he wasn’t in the mood to enjoy the tea right now and sighed, “Nice to meet you. I’m Mr. Stefan’s personal doctor, and he’s currently in a dangerous position. According to my knowledge, you were the one that suggested to him to drink?”
“It was a suggestion given to me by a friend. He’s a physician, and he had once met Mr. Stefan in the past. At the same time, he managed to detect Stefan’s condition and said that alcohol would be effective.”
Upon hearing those words, Gregory was shocked. To be able to detect Stefan’s disease with just a glance, how terrifying was that person’s medical skills? At this moment, he wasn’t blaming Shui Junzhuo for getting Stefan to drink and asked, “May I ask where that friend of yours is right now? Can you get him to treat Mr. Stefan?”
Shui Junzhuo smiled upon hearing that. Although she didn’t know that Stefan had gone insane from alcohol, she was filled with admiration for Su Tao’s prediction. Stefan might not have directly called for help, but since Stefan’s personal doctor has come to ask for help, it has broken the TCM’s principle where a doctor never knocks on the patient’s door.
Stefan was currently in a dire position, and she also got to know from her intelligence that Qin Jingyu has arranged an intermediary to interact with Dobrynin.
At this moment, if Stefan could recover, all the negative news targeting him would collapse. At the same time, Stefan would view this as an enormous favor.
Although Stefan was a stubborn person who wouldn’t go easy just because of private matters, it’s still better than Dobrynin being promoted and calling off the partnership.
