As a strand of sunshine shone on Su Tao’s face, he forced his eyes open and glanced at the source of the light. He saw a silhouette moving around with a gentle smile.

“Looks like I’m still alive. Hell definitely doesn’t have such a beauty!” Su Tao smiled.

“Mister, this is not hell, but heaven.” The woman rejoiced when she saw that Su Tao regained his consciousness.

He was unconscious on the bed for over twenty hours after a bullet hit his chest. The bullet was only a few millimetres away from the heart, but fortunately, Yue Zun’s surgery skill as a National Healer was perfect and managed to snatch Su Tao’s life from the hands of the reaper.

“No wonder everyone likes to go to heaven. It looks like there’s no lack of beauties in heaven.” Su Tao spoke in a hoarse voice before he glanced at his bandages and inwardly evaluated his own condition. His current situation was terrible, and without ten-odd days to half a month, it’s impossible for him to get up.

Through your channels, I believe that you guys can easily change those goods into gold, and it’s no different from us paying in money!” Shui Junzhuo patiently analysed.

“You’re an outstanding persuader, but it’s hard for me to use that as a reason to convince my superiors.” Stefan shrugged.

Seeing that Stefan used his superiors as an excuse once more, Shui Junzhuo knew that the negotiation couldn’t continue. Hence, she could only leave for the time being.

When Stefan sent Shui Junzhuo to the door, she noticed that Stefan’s hand was slightly trembling when she shook his hand.

Entering her vehicle, she locked her brows together for a long time before she instructed Yuan Lan, who was sitting in the front seat, “Please help me look into something!”

“Grandpa, you must find the culprit and tear him apart!” Vera might be under house arrest, but she could still obtain information from outside. When she knew that Su Tao was a victim of an assassination, she nearly went insane. Stabilising his emotions, Lin Yifu sighed, “Firstly, I can guarantee it with my integrity that this matter has nothing to do with your father. Lastly, I have already gotten news of the person that you’re looking for.”

“Really?” Vera was instantly captivated by that information. Although she still felt rage about Su Tao getting hurt, she did not witness Su Tao getting shot herself, not to mention that Su Tao was still alive.
