《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 555 - When one causes trouble, his vehicle becomes unfortunate

Su Tao has never seen such a shameless person before, so he smiled. “Since you can’t touch us so easily, then may I ask who left the injuries on Bian Bo’s face?”
Casting a glance at Bian Bo in disdain, Chen Junkai replied, “If you guys really want to pick on this matter, then I can only call some friends over.”
“Aren’t you a secret agent? You should be pretty skilled. Aside from Bian Bo, why don’t you pick one of us and have a fair fight?” Su Tao frowned.
Waving his hand in annoyance, Chen Junkai replied, “Don’t force me; there’s a limit to my tolerance.”
Seeing the tense atmosphere, Zhong Yue immediately held onto Chen Junkai’s arm with a begging expression. She hoped that he could calm down and resolve this matter without using violence.
Standing to the side, Xia Yu wore a playful expression and smiled. “Isn’t this just an accident? We can call 110 for assistance. Although your Mercedes-Benz is expensive, I have full insurance, so there shouldn’t be any problem.”
Upon hearing that Xia Yu intended to call the police for assistance, Chen Junkai immediately felt guilty and replied, “I’m not free to go through those procedures. Since you hit my car, then we can handle this matter privately. Just pay me ¥1,000, and we’ll put a rest to this matter. Anyhow, there are specialists to attend to my car.”
However, Xia Yu wasn’t buying it so he took out his phone and smiled. “On the other hand, I have plenty of time, so wait for the police with me.”
When Chen Junkai saw that Xia Yu wasn’t buying it, he was instantly left speechless. If the police were really called over, they would definitely check his driver’s license and compare it with his vehicle. If that happens, he would definitely be revealed.
Taking out his keys, Chen Junkai immediately went into his vehicle and drove out a distance before he turned to Zhong Yue. “I’ll not bother with them for your sake. But if they still continue to bother me, then I will have to use some means.”
Seeing that Chen Junkai was still going on and on, Xia Yu already made the call.
“Hello? We have a traffic accident here; I was the one that hit someone. We’re at Ceylon Western Restaurant.”
“Ridiculous! Let us go to eat somewhere else.” Chen Junkai practically forgot that he had already ordered food in the restaurant as he pulled Zhong Yue to the fake Mercedes-Benz.
Seeing the vehicle disappearing from their sight, Zhu Ru couldn’t help laughing out loud. Even a fool could tell that Chen Junkai was afraid.
But when Bian Bo saw Zhong Yue being taken away, he asked with a sullen expression, “Why didn’t you guys stop Zhong Yue?”
“Didn’t you see Zhong Yue’s attitude? She already subconsciously considered that you’re trying to cause trouble for Chen Junkai. Chen Junkai is a conman that has good acting skills without any flaws.” Su Tao comforted with a sigh.

“But we can’t simply sit here and do nothing while she falls into his demonic grasp, right?” Bian Bo urgently asked.
Letting out a sigh, Su Tao replied, “From a bystander’s view, let me give you a suggestion. Even without Chen Junkai, Zhong Yue will never have feelings for you, so you have to be mentally prepared.”
“Even so, I have to help her! Loving her is my matter, and I don’t care if she doesn't love me.” Bian Bo bit on his lips.
Patting his shoulder, Su Tao smiled, “Just by these words of yours alone; I will help you to the end!”
Looking at Su Tao, Bian Bo felt both guilt and regret at this moment. All along, he had been looking down on Su Tao, but the latter actually disregarded the past and helped him. In this instant, he decided that he had to change his attitude in the future.
Entering the vehicle again, Xia Yu swiftly found Chen Junkai and Zhong Yue’s location with the tracking device.
With his driving skills, it’s simple for him to follow from afar without Chen Junkai noticing him.
Seated in the vehicle, Zhong Yue softly suggested upon seeing Chen Junkai’s unhappy expression, “Why don’t we forget about eating?”
Chen Junkai squeezed out a smile. How could he let his prey flee? If he missed today, Zhong Yue might change her mind. If she really found out his real identity, then all his effort would go down the drain. Recalling that massive dent in his car, Chen Junkai’s heart twitched with heartache. It felt terrible having his car hit, and yet, he had to suck it up.
Chen Junkai found a Korean restaurant. The cost here wasn’t as high since it’s a buffet-style restaurant that only costs ¥40 per person. Since he had suffered a loss earlier, Chen Junkai could only lower the cost after picking up Zhong Yue.
After parking his car in the underground parking lot, a car suddenly charged out from the right just when Chen Junkai wanted to turn off his engine.
With an enormous impact, Zhong Yue screamed in shock with a pale complexion. As for Chen Junkai, he was also struck dumbfounded by the impact.
Fuck! Chen Junkai hollered in his heart. Just what the hell is going on?
However, the car that collided with his slowly reversed, but before Chen Junkai could respond, the vehicle swiftly sped over and collided once more. At this moment, Chen Junkai could no longer hold it in and fear rose in his heart. That car wasn’t trying to kill him, right?
“Get out of the car, quickly!” Chen Junkai first asked Zhong Yue to get out before he pathetically crawled out from the front passenger seat.
Seeing no one in the vehicle, the car that caused the incident became even more fearless, jamming the accelerator and sandwiched the vehicle between a pillar.
Looking at his fake Mercedes-Benz being deformed, Chen Junkai’s lips twitched. After making a rough calculation, it would cost at least ¥20,000 to fix his car, while a new one that included the modification cost was about ¥70,000-80,000. At this moment, his heart was bleeding since he would also fell into a dilemma if he should fix his car.

Anyhow, he suffered an enormous loss this time.
“You guys again!” Looking at the car license plate, Chen Junkai instantly became speechless. He had already held himself back from lowering himself to their level, so why were they still bothering him?
In that instant, he regretted targeting Zhong Yue. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been targeted by this group of madmen.
“I’m sorry about that; it appears that another accident occurred again.” Xia Yu got out of his vehicle and looked at the bumper of his car. He went a little ruthless this time so there was some deformation to his front bumper aside from the paint job being scraped, but it shouldn’t be a problem to fix.
Gnashing his teeth, Chen Junkai pointed at them and raged, “You guys were the ones that forced me. Don’t leave if you have the guts!”
Turning his gaze to look at Su Tao, Xia Yu saw Su Tao happily laughing and felt satisfied, forcing a conman this far.
“We won’t be leaving. Since it’s time for dinner, we’ll be eating here. You can call us when you’ve gathered enough people.” Su Tao smiled.
Looking at his scrapped car, Chen Junkai immediately made a call without any hesitation. As for Zhong Yue, she was at a loss as she bit on her lips. She had no idea what to do right now.
Although Bian Bo was worried about Zhong Yue, he still followed Su Tao into the elevator. Not only was there a Korean restaurant, but there’s also a Sichuan restaurant here, which Su Tao asked for a private room and ordered seven to eight dishes. When the dishes were served, the five of them started to eat.
However, Bian Bo didn’t have much of an appetite to eat so he asked in a worried tone, “Will Chen Junkai get people to take revenge? When he previously beat me up, there were several people with him.”
As a smile rose on Xia Yu’s lips, he guaranteed, “That brat only has a tough appearance. If he fights you alone, he might not even be your opponent, so just relax and eat. Even if anyone comes to cause trouble, it’ll be fine with Old Liu and me here.”
Despite receiving Xia Yu’s consolement, Bian Bo still felt nervous. After all, he’s only a student with an ordinary family background. He could only rely on himself, and at this moment, he naturally felt anxious since he has offended someone from the underworld. On the other hand, Zhu Ru was pretty excited. She was hopeful to see how Chen Junkai would suffer.
The dishes were quickly served, which the group of five pretty much finished their food in about thirty minutes.
Five modified off-road vehicles charged into the underground car park. When Zhong Yue followed Chen Junkai towards the vehicles, her face was a little pale. Over thirty robust men were standing beside Chen Junkai. All of them were wearing camouflage clothes, sunglasses, Bluetooth earpieces, and tactical boots.
“This is the car?” One of the men asked as he glanced at Chen Junkai.
“That’s right!” Chen Junkai nodded his head and gritted his teeth. “Scrap it!”
With a grin, the man retrieved a military-grade hammer and smashed on the windshield, creating spiderweb cracks.
In the private room, Xia Yu’s phone vibrated so he took a look at it and frowned. “Bloody hell, they’re smashing my car!”
Since Liu Jianwei knew that Xia Yu’s car was his treasure, he immediately stood up.
“Let us go and meet them.”
When they went down in a hurry, the windows of Xia Yu’s modified car were smashed with all sorts of marks left on the car itself. Over a dozen people had treated the vehicle as a drawing board and used their military-grade daggers to scratch the car.
“Bloody hell, that bunch of people is too arrogant!”
At this moment, Xia Yu practically forgot how arrogant he was when he deformed the Mercedes-Benz.
This could be considered his karma. After all, he was the one that smashed another person’s car, so the other party was just repaying him with what he did.
Stepping forth, Su Tao sneered at Chen Junkai, “Oh, all of you are special agents? May I ask about your callsigns?”
“Call your sister!” With someone backing him up, Chen Junkai pulled out a pistol and he flicked the safety then pointed at Su Tao. “All of you, kneel down!”
“They actually have guns, how frightening!” Su Tao believed in what Xia Yu said, that this pistol must be an air gun. But this stuff was still highly lethal at close range, so a few needles instantly appeared in his hands in preparation.
“Do you believe that I can’t shoot you without anything happening to me?” Chen Junkai arrogantly jabbed the pistol forth as he continued, “Get on your knees, or I will start a massacre today!”
When the man standing beside Chan Junkai, saw that the other party wasn’t buying it, but looking at Chen Junkai as if he was looking at a fool, he instantly sent a sour glare at Chen Junkai and said, “Cut this nonsense, it’s not worth it to ruin our reputation for these people!”
After that, he walked towards Su Tao and dragged him by the latter’s collar. “You, come with us. If you want everyone else unharmed, then prepare ¥100,000 for us.”

Dominion Expansion (a 4X LitRPG)
Clay is one of the world's top players of 4X games, a genre where the goal is to eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. He's also one of the only players in the world to so stubbornly stick to the one city strategy, a favorite tactic of his that involves only ever using a single city or planet depending on the game's setting. All that matters to him is winning with his favorite strategy, but earning the respect of his fellow players for taking a sub-optimal strategy to its highest level has always been a nice bonus. And now it is because of his skill and entertaining determination that he has been chosen to represent a higher realm in a strategy game where the fate of Earth and dozens of other worlds are at stake. To the victor goes the spoils, and the spoils include entire worlds and billions of lives. That's how he ends up representing the ascended realm of Hell in a grand "game" between an entire pantheon of godly beings and other higher powers. But while it may just be a game to those overseeing it, it is a genuine war for survival to those participating in it where billions of real lives will go to the victor of whoever wins, and many will die before the game is over. Quick Author's Notes: System inspired by Civilization, Endless Legend, Stellaris, and Crusader Kings 2. Combat mechanics inspired by the Total War series. Slow-paced with many long-term plans. Protagonist has a personality heavily inspired by Ron Swanson. Know who that is and love him? You should like Clay. Know who Ron Swanson is and hate him? You'll probably hate Clay. Planning on writing every single day (turn). Days with important things happening will have the system/game mechanics be the priority of the chapter. Days where there isn't really anything important happening will be more slice-of-life and focused on character interactions. Designed a dice-based randomized map generator to create the world as the story goes on, so I don't even know myself exactly what's going to happen as a lot is dependent on world generation. Tech tree with hundreds of technologies already designed. There is a "harem," but it's not the main focus, the girls won't be cardboard cutouts, and I'm not going to completely forget about any previous women in the relationship whenever a new one comes along. One last thing. The "game" starts off with primitive technology level. The current plan is for the "endgame" tech level to be equivilent to WW2-era technology. After that and war just gets boring until you end up in space. Cover is temporary and made from royalty-free stock images while waiting for the real cover's commission to finish.
