《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 471 - Trashing the Ye Family’s Siblings

“Aunt Wang, I will surely agree to your request if it’s someone else. But this brat is an enemy of my cousin, and I have wanted to look for him. So I naturally won’t let him off today.” Ye Sheng arrogantly declared before he continued, “But don’t worry about it. This brat has some backing, so I will only trash him up. I won’t take his life!”
They know that the Shui Family was backing Su Tao up, and the Shui Family would surely not let them off if they killed Su Tao.
Wang Qiaozhen walked over and hollered, “Stop messing around. The banquet has already been messed up by the two of you, and you’ve already taken your revenge.”
Ye Sheng could shove Ni Jingqiu since they’re in the same generation, but he could absolutely not touch Wang Qiaozhen since she’s an elder.
As Ye Sheng chuckled, he wanted to drag Su Tao by the collar. But to his surprise, he failed to pull Su Tao. He exclaimed and immediately retreated upon feeling a breeze blowing to his face.
Seeing how swiftly Ye Sheng responded, Su Tao sighed. He never expected that the former would have such a fast reaction time. He initially wanted to catch the former by surprise, but it was out of his expectations that Ye Sheng would dodge the full blow of his hook.
Thus, he stomped on the ground and shot out towards Ye Sheng.
Seeing Su Tao pouncing over, Ye Sheng snorted and realised that Su Tao was an internal martial artist from how his internals was thrown into turmoil.
Actually, Ye Ling had already told Ye Sheng about Su Tao’s information and even mentioned that the latter was a disciple of Yan Wujin. However, Ye Sheng did not pay any attention to it and never expected that such a cultured-looking man would be as ferocious as a tiger with punches being faster and sharper, which didn’t allow Ye Sheng to catch his breath.
Ye Sheng’s skills were in his legs, but he could only choose to dodge at this moment and didn’t have the time to launch any kicks. Su Tao had also noticed this, which was why he constantly launched attacks. In the blink of an eye, the two of them had already brought their fight outside, which gave everyone a misconception that Ye Sheng was blown out by Su Tao.
Watching this scene, Ye Ling was shocked, since she was well-aware of her twin brother’s capability. He started to practice martial arts at the age of five, and he took the legendary soldier, Xu Xia, as his master at the age of ten. When he was fifteen, Ye Sheng was already invincible in Beijing’s underground ring.
When Ye Sheng was eighteen, he would seek opponents throughout Europe and also created numerous miracles till he was twenty-three.
During a fight with the boxing champion in Finland, he heavily injured his opponent and also suffered injuries in the process, which was why he returned to the country to rest his injuries.
Xu Xia’s evaluation of his disciple, Ye Sheng, was that this disciple has already surpassed the master.
In China, those that could be titled Grandmaster Martial Artists were few in numbers. For Su Tao to be able to fight on the same level as Ye Sheng, didn’t that mean that the former has reached the height of grandmasters?

Looking at Qin Jingyu’s solemn expression, Tong Zuoqing smiled. “Young Master Qin, you must be surprised, right? Truth be told, even I was surprised. I initially thought that he only practiced martial arts to strengthen his body, but I have underestimated him. China is truly boundless, and there are no pushovers in Beijing.”
“If he wasn’t accomplished, how could he attract Junzhuo’s attention?” Qin Jingyu sneered.
At this moment, Qin Jingyu’s mood was complicated, since Su Tao has exceeded his expectations. Although he was in the military for years and was proficient in fighting, his skills were pale in comparison.
However, he did not think that Su Tao was that great. At the current age, what could a genius in martial arts achieve? Facing firearms, they could only raise their hands in defeat.
Not to mention that as long as he, Qin Jingyu, was willing, he could have bodyguards around him anytime he wanted.
In Qin Jingyu’s view, martial arts was an insignificant skill, and it was no different from sports.
When you have money, status, and influence, you could easily hire others.
Su Tao was just someone good at fighting, and he’s still insignificant.
Everyone in the banquet had already come out, momentarily forgetting that this was a high-classed banquet while they appreciated the fight between Su Tao and Ye Sheng.
Although the scene wasn’t like a Wuxia film, it was still thrilling.
The two figures were robust since they had undergone professional training. Every single one of their moves seemed profound, and it was akin to a martial arts performance in events that have undergone practicing to make things interesting. For those without any knowledge in fighting, they had no idea of the danger the fight possessed.
At this moment, Ye Sheng felt depressed in his heart. Su Tao was too cunning. His leg skills wouldn’t lose to the latter, but the latter had purposely suppressed his legs by launching endless ferocious attacks. Till now, he only managed to lash out his kicks a few times. In the end, he could only resort to his fists to face the incoming attacks.
But in terms of fists, Su Tao was more accomplished than him.
When Ye Sheng finally found an opportunity, he took a blow from Su Tao and lashed out two kicks in that brief instant.
Seeing those kicks coming over, Su Tao immediately stopped his attacks and retreated.
In the end, Ye Sheng’s kicks landed on the pillar and produced huge booming sounds with cracks spreading out on the pillar.
If the kicks were struck on an ordinary person’s body, their bones would definitely fracture. Ye Sheng had unleashed his full strength without holding back.
“You despicable piece of shit!” Ye Sheng did not close in to attack but pulled out two needles that have burrowed into his chest. Su Tao had actually resorted to hidden weapons!
“We’re fighting, not having a competition in the ring. If you can use knives or have guns with you, you can use them. I won’t mind.” Su Tao glanced at Ye Sheng in disdain.
Ye Sheng felt his chest blowing up from the anger as he charged in Su Tao’s direction. But when he took two steps forth, his legs suddenly went soft with his complexion turning pale.
“You did something to the needles?!” He asked in astonishment.

Nodding his head, Su Tao returned with a question, “I’m a doctor, so is it that surprising for me to apply medicine on my tools?”
Sweat started to appear on Ye Sheng’s forehead as he felt his entire body heating up. However, his legs could not budge.
He realised that Su Tao had been waiting for an opening to throw the two needles at his chest.
From that, he could see how cunning Su Tao was, and it was no wonder that his cousin would fall for this person’s trap.
Ever since Su Tao knew that the Witchcraft Sect was trying to assassinate him, he concocted a special anesthesia and soaked his needles in it as a precaution. But he never expected that Ye Sheng would be the unfortunate fellow to be his first victim.
Although there wasn’t a high amount of medicine on those needles, it would still spread throughout the limbs once it has entered the skin.
Roughly ten-odd seconds later, Ye Sheng didn’t even have the strength to stand. He could only breathe while kneeling on the ground.
However, his mind was clear. Despite the rage he felt, there was nothing he could do since this was not a fair competition, but a fight. He had underestimated Su Tao, so he could only suffer the consequences for his mistake.
Seeing that Ye Sheng’s state wasn’t right, Ye Ling immediately went over and wanted to help him up, but she did not have the strength to accomplish that.
As beads of sweat dripped from Ye Sheng’s forehead, he solemnly said, “Don’t worry about me; you leave first!”
Gnashing her teeth, Ye Ling looked at Su Tao. “I won’t leave you. I don’t believe he dares to do anything to us!”
Hearing her words, Su Tao sighed at her arrogance.
However, she had the basis to be arrogant. They’re from the Ye Family, and even if they created such a din, Ni Buwei could only swallow it and advise them to leave. So what can Su Tao do?
Su Tao felt that he needed to teach Ye Ling a lesson. Thus, he walked over to her and raised his hand into the sky then gave a slap to her tender cheeks.
If it wasn’t for his martial arts, he would’ve been the one humiliated today. Hence, Su Tao felt that he needed to obtain the reward of being the victor.
Hitting a woman was an act of cowardice, but Su Tao felt great slapping such an arrogant woman and did not feel guilty about it.
The resounding slap echoed throughout the venue and everyone was dumbstruck. No one had expected that the prideful daughter of the Ye Family would be slapped in public.
Ye Sheng was trashed, but it was a contest between men. On the contrary, the meaning was different for Su Tao to slap Ye Ling.
However, most of the audience felt great in their hearts since the Ye Family has been too arrogant, and that slap was akin to slapping the Ye Family.
“This slap is on behalf of your parents for you to learn how to be humble in the future. In this world, not everyone can be trampled by you guys.”
“Y-you actually dare to hit me? Do you know who I am?!” Ye Ling’s eyes gushed with flames, but she still looked charming despite being furious.
Someone like her needs to have her butt spanked on the bed! Even Su Tao had no idea why such a vile thought would appear in his mind, but he continued, “Do I know who you are? So what if I do? Come at me if you want to take revenge. I welcome you anytime.”
Glaring at Su Tao, Ye Ling failed to guess his thoughts. But she did not doubt that he’s capable of slapping her again.
Men would generally have tender feelings for women, so for him to slap her despite her outstanding appearance proved that he’s a cold-hearted person.
As a wise woman, Ye Ling knew the right path she had to take right now. She had to leave first since her younger brother wasn’t in a good state. Even if they begged this man before them, it’s impossible for him to help. Thus, she had to swiftly figure out a way to save her brother.
Hence, Ye Ling did not speak and swallowed down all the grievances in her heart before biting her lips while glancing at Su Tao as if she wanted to stab him to death with her gaze.
After that, she looked incredibly pathetic as she dragged Ye Ling away.
As the spectators watched this scene, they felt complicated in their hearts since the outcome wasn’t what they had expected.
The Ye Family’s siblings had come in a ferocious momentum to be beaten like a defeated dog.
Everyone thought that Su Tao would suffer, but not only was he fine, he even beat up the siblings of the Ye Family.
Thus, everyone started to discuss it amongst themselves.
“Who is that brat? He actually dares to offend the Ye Family?”
“Oh? He’s the Su Tao that caused Huo Kun’s downfall?”
“He’s pretty good-looking and is also a capable fighter. But it’s only a pity that he offended the Ye Family. Otherwise, I would surely try to seduce him as my boy toy.”
“I don’t think the Ni Family will watch Su Tao being targeted. After all, he is a guest of Ni Jingqiu, and he made his move to resolve the Ni Family’s awkward situation.”
“Ni Buwei can really stay calm after watching two young generations knock at his door and ignore them.”
“Perhaps he already knew that Ye Sheng would be defeated?”
The tranquil commotion had ended in an uproar. Although it had a strong start and ended weakly, the name of Su Tao would surely sweep waves in Beijing’s circle tomorrow.
Su Tao had long discovered Qin Jingyu’s existence. The latter walked over and sighed, “I initially wanted to cause some trouble for you, but I never expected that your ability to stir shit would save me the trouble of doing so. Good luck to you.”
When Qin Jingyu left, Tong Zuoqing walked over and handed his name card over with a standard smile. “You’ve won my admiration. Just by how you dare to slap Ye Ling, you’re worthy of becoming my friend. Come and have some tea in the future if you’re free, I’ll give you a 20% discount!”

A Cleric's Life for me.
This is a casually written story loosely based on TTRPG games like DnD and Pathfinder. The attempt of the story is to have a slow growth in power and comical set of characters who eventually grow close and set off for more serious adventures. There will be plenty of familiars and funny tales that don't involve combat. The intention is not to be a goody-two-shoes cleric story where nothing bad happens. The intention for this story was a slow paced grungy story where everything seemed great at first and things just kept getting worse. I learned how shitty of a story that is to write and honestly I am just not good enough to get the idea down. I plan on revisiting it later.

An Extra-Ordinary Story about Ordinary People
In a different world, a different reality, where ordinary people occasionaly have extra-ordinary powers for no particular reason, we follow a number of characters, trying their best to live in this strange yet normal world. We have our first character, a currently nameless but sentinent creature who happened to find himself in the body of a strange fungus after an unknown incident that robbed him of not only his former body but of his memory, as well. Secondly, we follow Smith, a high-standing man who doesn't even need to explain which Smith he is, on top of the world, yet human enough to meet said fungus. And thirdly, we have another nameless character, who is burdened by the ability to summon things that he doesn't want. A charming gang, who will (most likely) meet at some point. --- All and all, it's a twist on the common super-hero world, where all super-heroes have somehow dissappeared, but not the possibility for new ones. The series that feature the mushroom-dude are the 123 ones, the stories that feature Smith are the ABC ones, and the ones that feature our newest character, the summoner-dude, are the abc ones. Neat, huh? Also, just a word of warning? The 123 ones are kind wierd, and you can skip the first few chapters and go straight to the ABC ones without missing too much. But I'd rather you didn't, since i really enjoyed writing them. In ABC and abc, the format changes to a more typical form, with proper grammar and stuff. So if you dont like the 123, I'd love it if you gave the ABC a chance :^) Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it!
