《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 410 - Neverending Love Debt

Yan Sha started incessantly fiddling around Su Tao’s room. She initially wanted to find any dirty clothes and wash for Su Tao like typical dramas, but she never expected that Su Tao’s room would be so clean. When she opened his closet, his clothes were all arranged in an orderly manner with a fragrance that even made her feel comfortable.
Although she failed to find any dirty clothes, she found a pornographic book. Hence, she started her search to find more evidence to prove that even her Senior Brother was like an ordinary man with a habit of pornography.
“Don’t you know that it’s rude to fiddle around another person’s room?” Su Tao bitterly smiled. This young lady has inherited her mother’s character to investigate others!
“Hush!” Yan Sha glared at Su Tao as she continued, “You don’t have to feel guilty. I will surely find other things!”
Letting out a sigh, Su Tao asked, “What can you do even if you find them?”
After a brief pondering, Yan Sha gnashed her teeth. “Burn them!”
Su Tao was instantly rendered speechless as he held onto Yan Sha’s arm and persuaded, “My dearest Junior Sister, I don’t have any other things here except for those collectable antiques.”
“I don’t believe you!” Yan Sha frowned while speaking as if she was interrogating a criminal and said as she glared at Su Tao, “Why don’t you honestly confess!”
Su Tao instantly felt his heart going numb and sighed. Why did her gaze look awfully like his master, Jiang Qinghan? Hence, he smiled. “If I really want to see those, why would I have to flip books? I can just use my phone and find a bunch of them!”
Hearing Su Tao’s words, Yan Sha blushed and stomped her foot before she indignantly left the room.
As Su Tao sighed, he knew that his words had hurt the heart of this young lady. But he couldn’t figure out why Yan Sha was so into this matter.
“Junior Sister, why are you angry? Even if I die, shouldn’t you let me know the reason?” Su Tao wryly smiled as he followed behind Yan Sha.
Yan Sha suddenly stopped and gnashed her teeth. “Senior Brother, have you… seen the bodies of many women?”
Her words left Su Tao briefly stunned before he bitterly smiled. “I’m a physician, and I’m required to check on my patients occasionally, so I have seen quite a lot.”
Sobbing all of a sudden, Yan Sha’s eyes turned red, “For some reason, I don’t feel happy hearing that!”
While helplessly sighing, Su Tao had no idea what was going on with Yan Sha for her to be throwing a tantrum, but he coaxed, “How about this, I promise you that I will refrain from it if I can. As for that antique book, I’ll lock it and never touch it again, alright?”

Coaxing a girl occasionally required lying!
As Yan Sha wiped the tears off the corner of her eyes, she briefly hesitated before she gritted her teeth. “Senior Brother, I can’t blame you for it. It’s because… I’ve discovered that I’ve fallen for you!”
Her sudden confession left Su Tao shocked since he never expected that. Although Su Tao was fond of Yan Sha, he only treated her like a younger sister. After all, this young lady was still in her third year of Junior High School; not to mention that he’s fonder of mature ladies, and he has never thought of Yan Sha that way.
Hence, he immediately smiled to mask the awkwardness. “You’re still young, how do you know anything about love?”
Stomping her foot, Yan Sha continued to emphasise, “I’ve fallen for you! Every night before I sleep, I would think of you. After not seeing you for a long time, I would yearn to know how you’re doing. If you appear before me, I would feel extremely happy. When you look at another woman, I would go insane from jealousy. Today, I even suspected if my best friend has fallen for you, isn’t this love?”
Looking at Yan Sha’s innocent face covered in tears, this young lady was sixteen. Although she’s younger than him by five years, she’s more mature than other girls at her age.
Sighing, Su Tao patiently persuaded, “Yan Sha, you’re still in Junior High School. When you go to Senior High School and University, you will notice many outstanding men around you. Your feelings for me are just familial affection like siblings, but you’re still young and you don’t know how to differentiate them.”
After a brief pause, Yan Sha wiped her tears before smiling. “Alright, I feel much better now after letting everything out.”
Women’s emotions were truly everchanging, and it seems that he couldn’t treat Yan Sha as a little girl. Her mental age was already approaching that of a woman.
This was also related to the current information age. After all, boys and girls were able to surf the net often and mature early due to the information they constantly interacted with on the internet.
Seeing that Yan Sha finally calmed down, Su Tao prepared to send her home.
When they were about to reach the Yan Residence, Yan Sha immediately told Su Tao to stop the car after seeing a fortune teller by the roadside.
Yan Sha immediately, impatiently got out of the car and Su Tao bitterly smiled while following behind her. “You’re a modern youth, how can you be so superstitious?”
“I suddenly want to look at my luck in the upcoming exams. Regardless if it’s accurate, at least I can fulfil my curiosity!” Yan Sha chuckled.
Su Tao saw an old man in his sixty by the stall wearing spectacles. His complexion was yellowish and he wore a down-filled garment that hadn’t been washed the entire winter with his collar and chest being covered in oil. Sighing out, Su Tao replied, “Regardless if he’s accurate with it, you can’t pay too much attention to it. You have to be serious about the exams.”

Finding Su Tao too naggy, Yan Sha walked over to the stall and smiled, “Grandpa, I want to look at my marriage!”
Su Tao instantly rolled his eyes and nearly fainted. Didn’t she say something about her exams earlier?
Seeing a customer, the old man instantly became happy and he removed his spectacles as he smiled. “Not a problem. I’m proficient in career, finance, luck, and naturally, marriage as well!” Taking a piece of wrinkled paper, he ripped off the parts that had been written on and placed it before Yan Sha. After taking out a pencil, he said, “For marriage, it will be slightly more expensive, costing ¥100. You have to pay first and write down a letter thereafter!”
Turning around, Yan Sha instantly looked at Su Tao with puppy eyes.
She’s still a student, so how could she probably afford ¥100. Hence, she could only turn to look at Su Tao for help.
After he helplessly took out a ¥100 bill, Su Tao handed it over to Yan Sha.
When Yan Sha happily gave it over, Su Tao also calmed down since he wanted to see how this old man was going to dupe him and Yan Sha.
After a brief pondering, Yan Sha wrote ‘莎’ on it.
Taking it and examining a long time, the old man nodded his head and asked, “Little missy, is the surname of your crush Su?”
Hearing it, Yan Sha instantly jumped up, pulled Su Tao and smiled. “Senior Brother, isn’t it really miraculous?”
However, Su Tao shook his head with a bitter smile. Although he was startled, thinking deeper into it, this old man might know Yan Wujin’s family, and he might have even seen him in the past. Hence, he knitted his brows and asked, “How do you know that the surname of her crush is Su?”
Tapping at the word that Yan Sha had written, the old man explained, “莎, by taking it apart, it would turn into 艸, 氵, and 少. She’s a woman, and since she’s seeing marriage, ‘艸’ will definitely by in the surname of her husband.
As for ‘氵’, the deed between a couple also means intimacy. So with ‘氵’, the husband’s surname will have ‘魚’.
As for ‘少’, this woman is still in her maidenhood, like a young sapling. So my taking ‘艸’, ‘魚’, and ‘禾’, it will form into 蘓.
The old man’s analysis was coarse and vulgar, making Yan Sha’s face blush. But when she analysed it, it did make sense.
Taking out another ¥100 bill from his pocket, Su Tao smiled. “It’s just a game of taking apart the character, it’s a game meant to con kids. Even I know a thing or two about it. How about this, I’ll also write a word, and if you get it right, I’ll give you another ¥100. Otherwise, you’ll return that ¥100 that you took earlier!”
The old man instantly became anxious when he heard and waved his hand. “In fortune telling, how can I return the money? How about this, I’ll gift you a word for free and consider it a bargain.”
Su Tao suddenly thought of Yan Sha’s mother, Jiang Qinghan. According to this old man’s analysis, Yan Sha’s future husband’s surname would be Su. So if it was accurate, didn’t that make Jiang Qinghan his mother-in-law?
Thinking about it, Su Tao took the pen and wrote 寒 on it and smiled. “Mister, why don’t you look at this word?”
Looking at the word, the old man briefly pondered before asking, “What would you like to know?”
“Whatever comes to mind!” Su Tao smiled.
“Lad, this word must come from another person’s name, right?” The old man knitted his brows.
Su Tao was instantly startled as he asked, “And?”
“I’ll give you a piece of advice. Refrain from meeting this person anytime soon or you might face bloodshed.” The old man shook his head.
“Please emphasise on this!” Su Tao instantly recalled Zhao Yongde’s prison break. This wouldn’t mean that Jiang Qinghan might be in danger, right?”
“There’s a roof over the word 寒, and you must have interacted with that person recently in a tomb, which resulted in the upcoming calamity. With a bunch of grass gathering beneath the roof, there’s a faint presence of 人 under it. It means that if the two of you are together, there might be a danger, and it’s distinct.” The old man raised his head and looked at Su Tao.
“Is there any way to resolve it?” Although Su Tao felt that it sounded like a scam, it did seem profound.
“Resolve? I’m only a fortune teller, and I’m not a messiah. Hence, I can only warn you about it.” After a brief pondering, the old man impatiently wrote a few words on the paper and said, “I’m not a conman, and you will understand after unfolding this paper three days from now.”
Although Su Tao found the old man a little bizarre, he still stowed the paper in his pocket before leaving. But he could hear the old man’s mumble, “The sword’s edge bound, how many relations are connected. Neverending mortal love, and neverending love debt!”
