Chapter 692 - Leaving the Secret Realm
Shi Hao remained vigilant. Even though he was curious, he couldn’t let down his guard. After all, there had been conflict between both sides before.
The old tree was now entirely charred black and withered up, having an aged aura. It was unknown just how many years it had lived. It truly bore no hostility and was discussing with Shi Hao.
“Done talking yet?” On the side, the Jade Flood Dragon sneered. He gave this direction a look and continuously stared at Shi Hao.
“When adults talk, children like you should stay off to the side,” The Devil Blood Ghost Tree said with a heavy voice.
“You are talking to me?” The Jade Flood Dragon’s entire body was sparkling. His scales looked like they were cast from metal, shiny and ice-cold. Its eyes were widened, and killing intent surged.
It had enough confidence, because it exceeded the Divine Flame Realm. It was one of the most powerful deities in the secret realm!
The Devil Blood Ghost Tree’s aura erupted. It wasn’t some kind individual. The reason it wasn’t that well known was because it had always been sealed within that enormous formation and hadn’t gotten involved in the rest of the outside world.
Kacha!
A black branch rushed out, and like a divine whip, it thrashed over. Dark light flourished, moreover accompanied by lightning. Deafening thunder resounded through the air.
The Jade Flood Dragon’s expression changed. It had never seen this tree before. After all, it was already one of the most powerful creatures here, and if outsiders came in this secret realm, their cultivation levels wouldn’t exceed that of the Divine Flame Realm.
“Roar…” It roared and frantically took action. Dark green symbols erupted. The flood dragon tore apart the skies as it engaged that branch.

Following a light sound, that sharp flood dragon claw was immediately blasted until it was badly mangled, and then it continuously fell. Blood flowed outwards.

While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
