《Otherworldly Merchant》Chapter 646: The Great Buddhist Formation

Yin-Yang Tiger was hit by Invisible Needle. His body swayed as he raised the Taiyi Traceless Sword to protect himself.
After making sure that Zen Master Baimei was away from harm, I retrieved the needle. Then, I felt my blood rise in my throat. I frowned and swallowed it back.
Zen Master Baimei took the chance to retreat.
“Where’s Chuyi?” I looked around and didn’t see Chuyi.
Zen Master Baimei wiped the trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth. His voice was angry. “They’ve controlled Chuyi.”
I didn’t understand. Immediately, a white light flashed in front of us, followed by Chuyi himself.
His face had returned back to normal. He looked healthy, and his wounds had mostly recovered. At this moment, he looked both handsome and cold.
I stepped forward in excitement. “You’re all right?”
“Get back here!” Zen Master Baimei screamed. At the same time, Chuyi stabbed his eight-faceted Han sword at me.
I didn’t know what was going on, but I knew if that sword hit me, I would die. Immediately, I dodged and rolled away. The eight-faceted Han sword stabbed the ground where I had just stood, creating a hole.
As his attack had failed, he withdrew his sword with an emotionless face. I rolled one more time on the ground to dodge his second attack.
One-Armed Dragon and Yin-Yang Tiger laughed and attacked us at the same time. Shortly after, Zen Master Baimei and I were at a disadvantage.
Chuyi was putting pressure on me. I had to use the Invisible Needle to stab his arm.
“Stop!”
Zen Master Baimei suddenly stormed forward. His tone was serious. “Retrieve the Invisible Needle, they…”
I heard some puffing noises near me. Zen Master Baimei looked at me with regret. I turned around and saw Chuyi holding the eight-faceted Han sword, kneeling on one knee. The tiny Invisible Needle had stabbed into his glabella. It seemed it was trying to go deeper into his skull.
I panicked and tried to retrieve the Invisible Needle.

Zen Master Baimei wound the chain of mala beads around his wrist. He then looked at Yin-Yang Tiger and One-Arm Dragon and spoke coldly, “Today, this old monk will kill someone!”
Yin-Yang Tiger sneered disdainfully and said, “Old donkey, I’m afraid you don’t have the power to do that.”
One-Armed Dragon looked at us gloomily; his voice was low and resonating, “There’s no need to babble with the dead. Kill them. We have to take revenge for Qing!”
I knew it was going to be dangerous. I grabbed the Holy Mother Scepter and attacked immediately.
One-armed Dragon easily caught the Holy Mother Scepter. His arm force was so strong that I couldn’t make any more moves.
Then, he launched a palm attack at my chest. I staggered backward and landed on my butt.
Zen Master Baimei wasn’t in a better situation than me. He had given up defending as he was busy drawing something on the ground. This allowed Yin-Yang Tiger to leave many cuts on his body with the Taiyi Traceless Sword.
It seemed he’d chosen the same suicidal method as Chuyi had done. I was scared and screamed hastily, “Zen Master! I told you before that it shouldn’t happen again!”
One-Armed Dragon pulled me up with an evil smile. “Kid, you should worry about yourself.”
Then, he threw me away.
My bloodshot eyes stared at him. I used everything I had to attack him. In the end, I had successfully disrupted his moves.
He wanted to play hard and pushed me away with a simple blow. He spat disdainfully, “You’re crazy!”
I vomited a mouthful of blood and gritted my teeth. “Crazy? You people from the Longquan Villa are freaking crazy! You know, you’re like crazy dogs that keep barking and biting people!”
He grabbed my neck and lifted me. “What did you say?”
My face reddened. Still, I managed to repeat, “I said, you people from the Longquan Villa are freaking crazy! You know, you’re like crazy dogs that keep barking and biting people!”
I knew I shouldn’t enrage him now. However, as Chuyi and Zen Master Baimei had neglected their lives to deal with this group of people, my nerves had already cracked.

“I’ll kill you!”
One-Armed Dragon was enraged. His eyes turned red as he gazed at me.
I didn’t care about anything else right now. “I dare you to kill me! If you kill me, the people from the Zhang family in Jiangbei will take revenge for me!”
His grip loosened a little bit. He hesitated. The Longquan Villa was still somewhat afraid of the Zhang family in Jiangbei!
Yin-Yang Tiger spoke while panting. “Brother, move!”
One-Armed Dragon moved aside. Immediately, a sharp white light slashed at me.
However, I didn’t feel any pain. I recognized it was just a false strike to force One-Armed Dragon to let me go. Then, another white light flashed. As tender as a silky ribbon, it pulled me toward Zen Master Baimei.
Zen Master Baimei had blood stains all over his body. I wanted to ask him how he was, but he gestured to me to stop. He weakly asked me to give him the foundation-enhancing herbs.
I took out a few herbs from my pocket. Zen Master Baimei chewed the leaves for a while then made Chuyi swallow them.
Chuyi was still unconscious. Looking at him, I guessed he had recovered his sanity.
Then, Zen Master Baimei cut his palm. He said, “I’m going to take you two back.”
He wanted to use a great Buddhist technique to teleport us!
If he used such a great magical technique, he would have to pay for it by sacrificing five years of his life. He was an old man. I knew how much five years meant to him. I gritted my teeth and told him not to do that.
Zen Master Baimei stopped me and shouted, “Even if you don’t want it, Chuyi can’t stay here any longer.
I nodded and said nothing. Zen Master Baimei sat down and started to read the spell. Instantly, red light glowed around us. Yin-Yang Tiger and One-Armed Dragon were standing outside, staring at us. It seemed they were afraid of the light.
“Open!” screamed Zen Master Baimei. Chuyi slowly dimmed out until he completely disappeared. I heaved a sigh of relief.
Yin-Yang Tiger and One-Armed Dragon couldn’t wait anymore. They immediately attacked Zen Master Baimei with their sword energy. After a moment, they successfully smashed the red halo around us.
Puff!
Zen Master Baimei spat blood. He struggled to try to maintain the formation.
I shouted, “Chuyi left. It’s time to take care of ourselves!”
After I said that, Zen Master Baimei stopped the formation. He reluctantly activated the mala beads to create a layer of protection.
Seeing his sword energy being stopped by the mala beads’ white halo, Yin-Yang Tiger bit the tip of his tongue and spat blood on the sword. With the energy from his blood, the sword was greatly boosted. The light from the mala beads dimmed out. This scene felt as though tens of thousands of Buddhas were dying.
I couldn’t help but inhale deeply. Was this the real power of the Quanzhen’s Seven Sons?
The torrential sword energy moved around us. In a short time, the two of us had cuts all over our bodies.
Zen Master Baimei suddenly spat blood on his mala beads. The chain of Buddhist mala beads glowed again. It could deal with the sword energy for a while.
Zen Master Baimei raised his mala beads higher. The light from the beads dimmed again. He turned and shouted, “Hurry up! Get back to the inn to help Chuyi!”
In the next moment, he seemed to have used all of his power to throw me out of the range of the battle.
I knew I couldn’t do anything if I stayed. Moreover, Chuyi needed my attention. Gritting my teeth, I used the Invisible Needle to find a way out of the illusion. I didn’t turn around and dashed away.
“Haha, you run faster than a little rabbit!”
Evil laughter resounded as a shadow in black appeared in my way. I halted and tightened my hold on the Holy Mother Scepter. One-Armed Dragon was chasing after me. Although he didn’t have any weapons, my legs were still shaking.
As Chuyi wasn’t his equal opponent, I wasn’t even worth mentioning here! He could finish me within seconds!
