《Ranker's Return》Chapter 465

“Tang-E, shouldn’t you say goodbye now?” Hyeonu stroked the head of Tang-E who was currently eating meat. The time had come to end the stream. It was a bit earlier than usual, but he still had to finish it.
‘I have a lot to do.’
Hyeonu had to move in a busy manner today. He had to check Etono’s situation and get ready to get as much as possible from the players.
“It’s the end now. Everyone has worked hard. Get home safe.” Tang-E lifted his front paw that wasn’t holding the meat, shook it slightly, and lowered his head. His figure was very cute.
-Ugh... I was attacked at the end...
-Where can I go to be with Tang-E?
-Tang-E, Tang-E... My cute Tang-E...
-Promote it quickly and activate it for streaming.
-Activate it before next Wednesday unconditionally.
The viewers still remembered Hyeonu’s words. It was that he would turn on the stream the day the magic circle was activated. Thus, they would take the initiative. They would use their connections with the community to encourage the rankers. The rankers had to go to the demon world.
It wasn’t hard to encourage large guilds with their curiosity about the demon world. If they continued to leave articles on the community and show interest, the large guilds would take care of it and make their way to the demon world. The interest of A-World viewers was accompanied by money and fame. It was impossible for large guilds to miss such an opportunity.
‘This is what I want..’
To be precise, Hyeonu wanted many people to use the magic circle. Those blinded by the gold of the demon world would enrich Hyeonu without them knowing it.
‘Sure enough, Tang-E is the best.’
Tang-E’s last greeting was also part of Hyeonu’s plan. His obsession with 3.2 million gold was that deep.
“I want to go back to the demon world as soon as possible. I also want to stream again. I believe you want that too. I want to thank everyone who watched today’s stream. I will end it here.” Hyeonu ended his live stream and took a deep breath.
He felt like he had just finished a big job. Just then, Tang-E poked Hyeonu’s knee and asked, “Master dude, if you aren’t in a hurry, do you want to stop by Bung Bung Island once?”
Upon hearing Tang-E’s sudden words, Hyeonu looked worried. “Bung Bung Island? Did something happen?”
Tang-E shook his head while waving his paws strongly. “No... I just want Master to come with me. You don’t have to if you’re busy.”
‘Why is he so cute?’ Hyeonu thought.
This figure was really very cute. Tang-E had an onion-like charm that never seemed to end. There was no one who could refuse after seeing this.

“Time? I have a lot. Since you’re inviting me to Bung Bung Island, I have to go. Let’s go now.”
“I understand, Master dude. Let’s go right now!” Tang-E smiled brightly and jumped into Hyeonu’s arms.
***
It didn’t take long for them to get to Bung Bung Island. There were no monsters that could grab Hyeonu’s ankle in the Hejin Great Mountain Range. In other words, there weren’t any monsters who could even hit Hyeonu who was carrying Tang-E and running like the wind.
“You really won’t tell me what is going on?” Hyeonu asked while rubbing the hair on top of Tang-E’s head. Hyeonu was always in the domineering party with other people, including the viewers, but he became submissive in front of Tang-E.
“It is a good thing. You will know when we go there,” Tang-E answered vaguely. He never explained it specifically. It was similar to Hyeonu’s actions, but Hyeonu didn’t notice this. Hyeonu moved quickly while trying to restrain his curiosity. He had to arrive early to find out more quickly just what Tang-E was hiding.
“You still won’t tell me?” Hyeonu asked.
Now, there was nowhere else to go. Hyeonu was already standing in front of Tang-E’s house.
“The reason I asked you to come to Bung Bung Island today...” Tang-E started to explain the reason for coming to Bung Bung Island, but he couldn’t finish his words. It was because an uninvited person appeared.
“Tang-E?” Manong opened the door from inside the house and came out to hug Tang-E. Then she started to rub her fist against Tang-E’s head. “Where have you been until now? Didn’t I tell you to sleep at home?”
Tang-E looked like he was going to cry every time Manong touched his head.
“Master came with me, so...” Tang-E cried out.
This was when Manong noticed Hyeonu and said, “Ah! I’m sorry. I can’t believe I showed you this scene...”
Hyeonu shook his head at Manong’s words and replied, “No, I think it is good for Tang-E to be lectured if he does something wrong so he doesn’t go astray.”
“Thank you for understanding.” Manong smiled at Hyeonu’s words and kept punishing Tang-E.
The lectured Tang-E stared at Hyeonu blankly like he had lost his soul.
“You can’t do this next time, okay?” Manong said.
“I understand...” Tang-E responded.
“It isn’t that Mom doesn’t like you, Tang-E. I was just worried. Do you understand?”
“Yes...”
Manong knew how to use the stick and carrot properly. She directly expressed warm affection at the end, and the dissatisfaction in Tang-E’s heart was eliminated.
“Tang-E, can’t you tell me why you asked me to come?” Hyeonu whispered to Tang-E who buried himself in Hyeonu’s chest.

Tang-E raised his head and looked at Manong before muttering in a small voice that was just loud enough for only Hyeonu to hear: “I’ll tell you when Mom isn’t here. It is a secret from Mom.”
“Wait a moment, please. I’m going to call Hugo.” Manong left the house to call Hugo.
After seeing that, Hyeonu once again proceeded to question Tang-E for the reason.
‘I can hear it now.’
“What were you talking about?” Hyeonu asked. Tang-E didn’t answer easily. His face was red, and his lips were trembling.
“Huh? Isn’t it important? What is it?” Hyeonu said. Right when Hyeonu was trying to urge Tang-E again, Hugo and Manong entered the house.
“Did you wait for a long time? I didn’t know you were going to come back now...” Hugo said while approaching Tang-E and Hyeonu. “Where did you go, and why are you only coming back now? Your mother and I were so worried.”
Then, like Manong, Hugo started to rub his fist against Tang-E’s head.
“Uh... Dad is the same. You disappear when it comes time to eat. I went to find Dad.”
Hugo showed a startled expression when he heard Tang-E’s words and quickly blocked Tang-E’s mouth. Then he placed his mouth to Tang-E’s ear and whispered very quietly, “Why don’t you be quiet?”
“Wait! What does that mean, Hugo...? You disappeared on purpose? Perhaps...?”
Hugo’s actions ended there due to Manong’s punishment. Manong grabbed Hugo’s earlobe and pulled him to her side.
“Ah!!!” Hugo screamed at the intense pain that momentarily spread through his body.
“Eh?! Are you shouting now?” Mangong questioned.
Hugo smiled and kept his eyes wide like a goldfish while repeatedly opening and closing his mouth.
“When did I? Are you sure you didn’t hear it incorrectly?” Hugo hurriedly made an excuse and turned his head toward Tang-E. “Right, Tang-E. You can learn it now. Do you want to come out and take a look?”
Hugo changed the topic. This wouldn’t have worked if there was only Manong and Tang-E, but Hyeonu was currently with them.
‘Is he talking about learning a skill?’ Hyeonu thought about Tang-E learning a new skill and followed after Hugo while carrying Tang-E.
Hyeonu walked slowly while whispering in Tang-E’s ear, “Tang-E, is this what you were talking about?”
“Y...es, Master dude. I was going to show you this. Don’t you like it when I learn something?” Tang-E flinched slightly, but the tremor was fleeting.
It was as if it never happened.
“Of course.” Hyeonu slowly nodded several times.
It was always welcome for Tang-E to learn new skills. ‘It’s weird to see it now.’
Looking back through his memories, Tang-E had only learned one skill after his third awakening. Moreover, it was a skill he gained because his magic power stat broke through a certain number. The awakening itself didn’t create any skills. At that time, Hyeonu thought it was normal that only one thing was created, so he moved on without feeling that anything was strange.
‘Now I get it.’ Hyeonu pressed his lips together while thinking it was good.
“Tang-E...” Hugo stopped walking when he arrived in a spacious field and turned to look at Hyeonu and Tang-E. “You have to lead Bung Bung Island after me. You know that, right?”
“Yes, I know.” Tang-E nodded at Hugo’s words.
All the clan members who had met him always said so. The new leader of Bung Bung Island would be him.
“The thing I am teaching you now is a skill that the leader needs to learn. I’ll give you a demonstration,” Hugo said.
His appearance changed, transforming from a handsome Caucasian into a bear that was over 10 meters tall.
“He really is a bear...” Hyeonu was amazed by the scene. Hugo really was a bear. It was only now that Hyeonu fully realized that Hugo was Tang-E’s father.
“Kuaaah!” Hugo, who had become a bear, howled loudly. The surrounding trees trembled, and leaves fluttered everywhere. It was a fierce roar that had a much stronger presence than Tang-E’s.
‘Huh?’
Hyeonu noticed that Hugo’s roar didn’t simply damage the things around him. An intense magic power was released and wrapped itself around his body. The light rose gradually, and soon, Hugo couldn’t be seen anymore.
‘Where did he go? Is it a movement skill?’
In the first place, the light was shorter than 10 meters, so Hugo had to be visible since he was 10 meters tall. The light continued to subside, but Hugo was still nowhere to be seen. He was finally revealed once the light was less than two meters tall.
“He’s a human again...?”
To Hyeonu’s surprise, Hugo had once again taken on a human shape. No, it wasn’t a complete human figure. There was something different from the average person.
‘The ears on his head...’
There were bear ears on Hugo’s head.
‘Then Tang-E as well?’
Hyeonu’s heart started beating wildly like he had just run 100 meters. He imagined a human-shaped Tang-E with black furry ears, and his heart couldn’t help beating faster. Hyeonu stared down at Tang-E with blank eyes. “Tang-E...”
Seeing Hyeonu’s unfocused eyes, Tang-E trembled, and a chill spread all over his body.
“Huh? What is it, Master dude?” Tang-E asked.
Hyeonu spoke to Tang-E in an extremely subdued voice, “Go and learn that. Tang-E, you can do it, right? I believe... I believe in you...”
Hyeonu kept muttering these last words.
