A couple minutes later, I heard the sound of a couple of mounts riding toward me until one of them—a ferocious tiger—let out a mighty roar. The next moment, my Beautiful Little Pepper clad in fiery red armor appeared in front of me on her white-spotted tiger.

"You girls sure took your time, hehe…" A smile crept onto my face as I watched the in-game Lin Yixin.

Chaos Moon appeared from behind Lin Yixin as expected, but to my surprise, a third beauty appeared to the scene while riding a Dragonscale Beast as well. She wore a set of leather armor, and she carried a longbow behind her back. Her hair was tied into a bun, and she exuded an aura of purity and innocence. She was none other than Beiming Xue.

"Hi, Beiming! Why have you come?"

I walked up to her and asked with a smile.

Instead of answering, Beiming dismounted mid-gallop and fell on top of me like a truck. There was so much force behind her that I stumbled backward until I slammed into a maple tree. Hugging me as tightly as she could and burying her face between my neck, she murmured beside my ears, "Big brother, I miss you so, so much!"

Lin Yixin and Chaos Moon stood next to me with strange smiles on their faces. Chaos Moon’s smile was one of schadenfreude, while Lin Yixin’s was a forced smirk that barely concealed her killing intent. She was obviously jealous, but she also knew that I was the one who had recruited Beiming Xue to Bloody Mercenaries and invited her to my world. She understood why Beiming Xue was so dependent on me, and so tried her best to swallow her frustration.
