《VRMMO: The Unrivaled》Chapter 1020: Qiu Beast Cavalry

Everyone looked up at the exact same time. Holy shit, He Yi became a Divine General?
Who would’ve thought that she would fulfill the requirement to become a Divine General during the Nation War? Everyone in Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls rejoiced at the news. It was important for a guild to have a powerful guild leader, and to have one who was a Divine General was a morale boost few feats could compare.
Godslaying Blade was a Divine General Skill that increased weapon damage and attack range, making it the same type as Vienna’s Sorrow’s Ice Stream Blade. As long as the Divine General Skill was active, every basic attack and skill He Yi unleashed would be 20 yards farther and deal 50% splash damage. I could already imagine how useful it would be in a charge!
……
"Haha, the guild leader ascended! She’s amazing!" Li Chengfeng guffawed.
Gui Guzi licked her lips. "That she is. By the way, does anyone know how many Kill Points it takes to become a Divine General? I want it too…"
Chaos Moon answered, "I think it’s… 5000 players. If you kill 5000 players, you’ll be qualified to learn a Divine General Skill. However, the trigger chance is super low, or more players would’ve become Divine Generals already…"
I smiled. "You hear that, everyone? Kill more enemies, and you’ll not only earn Nation War contribution points but can also become a Divine General! Isn’t that amazing?"
A round of hearty laughter later, Li Chengfeng asked me, "What should we do now, Lu Chen?"
"We’ll be returning to White Rose Fortress, but please tally our casualties before that. We should also post some guards at Sky Ridge. We cannot let it fall back into the enemy’s hands. Who knows, maybe we'll get another chance to perform a mission like this."
"Understood!"
A while later, Chaos Moon walked up to me and reported with a smile, "Our casualties are negligible. We didn’t lose more than 200 Dragonlight Archers, so we still have 5000+ in total. We did lose around 400+ Dragonlight Cavalrymen at Ice River Canton, but Dark Moon City has duplicated another 500 Dragonscale Beasts in recent days, so we really still have 14k+ Dragonlight Cavalry that can be deployed in Purple Grape City’s domain."
I nodded before saying, "I think we lost about 1000 Dragonlight Cavalry in total in Ice River Canton and White Rose Fortress combined. Please organize these people, make one of them the leader, and have them patrol around Sky Ridge. They might not be able to join the assault on Purple Grape City, but they can still protect Sky City from danger."
"Mn, got it. That’s very careful of you!"
I sucked in a deep breath and gazed toward the distance. Fuck, it doesn’t look like this Nation War is ending anytime soon!

……
It was at this moment Beiming Xue walked up to me with a smile. "Big bro."
"Yeah, what’s wrong?"
She blinked once before reporting, "Lian Xin just informed me that our forces… have achieved a total victory at the ruined White Rose Fortress!"
"Oh, really?"
I was a bit surprised to be honest. "White Rose Fortress is overseen by Snowy Cathaya, Candle Dragon, Warsky Alliance, Righteousness and Blazing Hot Lips, right? I thought it would take them at least another 10 hours to finish. How did they achieve total victory in such a short time?"
"I don’t know either. Let’s check the forums together, shall we?"
"Mn!"
Before that though, I unsheathed my weapon and pointed in the direction of White Rose Fortress. "Ancient Sword, advance! Our destination, White Rose Fortress! It’s time we met up with our brothers and sisters!"
As my troops set off toward White Rose Fortress, I set my character to follow behind Beiming Xue. I had a great time admiring the view of her mini skirt fluttering up and down until she turned around with a bright smile on her face. "Where are you looking, big bro?!"
I withdrew my gaze and straightened my back. "Nowhere? I’m checking out the forums as you say…"
"Oh. Heehee…" Beiming Xue giggled.
This time, I didn’t allow myself to be distracted and brought up the forums. Threads about the war with Purple Grape City were everywhere, and stickied at the top were two threads that were updated in real time by the on-site journalists—
"Invincible Divine General Lu Chen Magically Passes Through Dragon Bone Mountain Range and Flattens Ice River Canton With Ten Thousand Cavalry"
“An hour ago, the frontline reported that the Little Heavenly King, Lu Chen, 5000 Dragonlight Cavalry and 5000 Dragonlight Archers had somehow passed through the impassable Dragonbone Mountain Range and attacked the tier 2 city of Purple Grape City, Ice River Canton. Even better, they were able to destroy it despite facing pressure from Ice River Canton’s players and nearly 100000-strong reinforcements from God’s Domain and Cyan Beast. Once again, Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls had done the unimaginable after defeating God’s Domain 100000 elites at Wild Pheasant Ridge. There is even a trending saying among the players that goes something like this: The China server is lucky to be blessed with Lu Chen and Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls!”
"White Rose Fortress Decisive Battle, Candlelight Shadow Reveals New Qiu Beast Cavalry and Destroys Purple Grape City’s United Army"
During the battle at Frost Forest of Floating Ice City, Candle Dragon’s Viper Dragoons had fought against God’s Domain Wildfire Riders and suffered a devastating defeat. Even before this, many people thought that Candle Dragon’s dynasty was coming to an end, and that a comeback was no longer possible. That lasted until Candlelight Shadow revealed a whole new cavalry troop consisting of Level 180 Spirit Rank Boss mounts, the Qiu Beast Cavalry. According to the info sprinkled here and there on the forums, Qiu Beast Cavalry’s stats were only 25% lower than our Dragonscale Beasts’, and they had a skill called Qiu Beast’s Rage that increased its user’s stats by 9% all across the board. The thread reported:

“During the decisive battle of White Rose Fortress, Candle Dragon dispatched all 25k+ Qiu Beast Cavalry it possessed and punched through the defensive formation made up of the sixth, seventh and ninth guilds on Purple Grape City’s Guild Ranking, slaying hundreds of thousands of enemies and cementing their reputation from the get-go. Not only that, China’s troops were able to gain about 5 km worth of ground into Purple Grape City’s domain. Even now, the focus of the war is slowly shifting from defending our homeland to invading the hinterlands of Purple Grape City.
The Qiu Beast Cavalry’s role in this battle cannot be understated, but Candlelight Shadow’s strategy was one the main reasons the decisive battle had been as one-sided as it was as well. The Martial God had seesawed the enemy’s army to bits and showed us the power of the old king of China. After the battle was won, many people believed that the prophecy of Lonely Grave—"If anyone is able to command Candlelight Shadow or Falling Dust, the virtual world is theirs to take"—has finally come true. Now that the Little Heavenly King and the Martial God have joined hands, there is surely a chance we may conquer Purple Grape City!”
……
I sucked my teeth a little after reading everything. Who the fuck was the idiot who wrote these articles? Candlelight Shadow and I, joining hands? Hmph! Unless there came a day where both Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls and Candle Dragon were tethering on the brink of collapse, we would never work together with each other. At the very least, the Candlelight Shadow I knew would never truly consider joining hands with Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls. He was the kind of ruthless bastard who wouldn’t hesitate to destroy us and Purple Grape City together if such an opportunity were to present itself, just like the time he had attempted to wipe out Warsky Alliance during the War of Dawn City.
That being said, this Qiu Beast Cavalry was definitely a lot stronger than the Viper Dragoons. Moreover, it was now made clear that he had intentionally pit his weaker Viper Dragoons against Red Maple’s Wildfire Riders during the battle at Frost Forest so that he could save his Qiu Beast Cavalry for the decisive battle. He truly was a true utilitarian who wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice the smaller good to achieve the greater good. Personally, I could never sacrifice a hundred thousand players’ levels just to lull my opponent into a sense of false security.
The 25k+ Qiu Beast Cavalry had slain hundreds of thousands of enemies with minimum losses, winning back much of the popularity Candle Dragon had lost since the start of Heavenblessed. Instead of giving up after a string of failures, Candlelight Shadow had chosen to suffer patiently while using every trick in his book to increase his own power. Like it or not, it was the mark of a true champion.
I brought up the search engine and searched for the exact details of the Qiu Beast Cavalry. It didn’t take long. The Qiu Beast was an earth dragon mount that looked like a horse. It lived underground, but it possessed an unnaturally high movement speed. A leveling party of Candle Dragon had discovered a cave leading to its underground lair at the foot of Dragonbone Mountain Range, and upon learning the news Candlelight Shadow had immediately dispatched his Viper Dragoons to monopolize the map and farm the Qiu Beasts. In just a week, they were able to capture almost all the Kui Beasts there were in the map and produced over 25000 Qiu Beast Cavalrymen. And how did it perform? Well, their success in this Nation War was the answer.
Riding not far away from me, Li Chengfeng licked his lips and said, "Have you read the thread on Candle Dragon and the Qiu Beast Cavalry, Lu Chen?"
"Yep." I nodded. "Just finished, actually. What is your opinion on this, Chengfeng?"
Li Chengfeng smiled. "The Viper Dragoons were a first generation of cavalry, so it was only a matter of time before they replaced it like how we replaced our Dragonlight Armored Horses and Cyan Battle Tigers. We aren’t the only ones who will be replacing our cavalry either. I’m sure Snowy Cathaya, Warsky Alliance, Purple Lily, Blazing Hot Lips and more are secretly developing their second-generation cavalries as well. But of course, luck plays a lot of factor here. By the way, did you know that your Beauty Lin just developed a new cavalry?"
I exclaimed in surprise, "Oh, I didn’t know that. What is it called?"
"Kui Dragon Cavalry!"
"Kui Dragon? Is it some type of an actual dragon?"
"No, no, it’s just a beast with similar traits."
Li Chengfeng waved his hand, causing a hologram to appear in front of me—
Kui Dragon (High-rank Mount)
Level: 180
Rank: Spirit Rank Boss
Introduction: The Kui Dragon looks like a war bull that is covered in tough scales. On land, it grows four hooves that allow it to travel at high speed. In water, the hooves will be replaced by fins. Its form also changes to resemble a horned dragon.
……
"Holy shit, an amphibian mount?" I stared.
Li Chengfeng laughed. "Seriously, your girl is amazing. I cannot even begin to imagine where she found these mounts, and she’s got 12000 of them! Already, the elite cavalrymen of Snowy Cathaya are replacing their Purple Dragons with it."

I won't follow the rules of the throne inheritance, also the rules of the king / prince / princess has to be protected, instead I will make them wield weapons and bring them to the front lines. So I will make the kings clash their weapons against each other rather than their generals (of course I will make their general fight with them). >I have added the high fantasy tag so that you understand the world in this story has its own rules that are different from the real world. >This story includes sword fight, magic fight, barehand fight, war between kingdoms, strategy, city / castle infiltration, conspiracy, betrayal and a few chapters of romantic scenes at the beginning of the story (that looks like a boring 'fairy tale love story', but you will understand their love story actually a slow romance and full of conspiracy at the middle of story). >I'm not a pro writer, so there will be a lot of errors. >Cover by commission

The Waterborne - Blasphemous Series
Gamelit / LITRPG Elements are common in this novel. Some say a single action can't change anything. But what if you add another action? And another one? At one point, you would have to agree that a single action can change a person's life. When a young woman is plagued by a mental illness, only a benevolent god can give her a deal worth taking. Living again in another world where underwater monsters, rebellious factions and ancient artefacts are common place, we will have to see, just how much a single action can change things. Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave
