After the Ice Qilin Horse fell heavily to the ground, it let out a shrill neigh as it was forced back into my mount slot. The Heaven-opening Tiger’s Spatial Rift had instantly gotten rid of my mount! This skill is way too OP! It actually sent me straight from the fourth floor to the seventh floor! I didn’t even need to clear the fifth or sixth floors!

This was actually a good thing though! Given my current strength, I should be able to explore the seventh floor without any problems. I also wouldn’t have to worry about any players stealing my monsters or sniping the boss. Furthermore, if my memory served me right, Lin Yixin had also been teleported to the seventh floor. Working together, even taking on the floor’s boss wasn’t that much of a pipedream!

However, the most intimidating thing about this monster was the weapon that it was holding. It held a huge, two meter-long warmaul in its hands and the head of the maul was studded with sharp spikes.

I brandished the Cyan Netherworld Sword as I licked my lips and summoned the Phantom Wolf King. After that, I slashed forward with my sword and used Dragon Slaying Slash. The cyan blade of sword energy immediately illuminated the seventh floor, which had been blanketed in darkness, as it shot toward the undead monster.

The dark shadow shuddered and swayed before it slowly turned around. A horrifying, half-rotted face framed by an ebon helmet greeted me. I shuddered as I stared at that terrifying face. Rotting strips of meat hung off its withered face and one of its eyeballs was dangling out of its socket. When it stretched open its rotted mouth and let out a shrill wail, a noxious stench wafted out from between its greenish-black teeth. I instantly activated my Dark Pupils, causing the monster’s stats to appear in front of me.

One of the dread-rank creatures from the upper floors was finally revealed. It was a Level 191 monster whose Defense was slightly lower than the Bronze Beast’s, but it compensated by having a far higher Attack! This Dark Prisoner also had very good attack skills, so it definitely wasn’t going to be some pushover. If I don’t approach this fight with extreme caution, I might very well slip up when I least expect it!

The Dark Prisoner let out a howl of fury as it charged toward me. Sparks erupted from the head of the gigantic maul as it was dragged across the ground. My Dragon Slaying Slash had utterly enraged this beast seeing how fast it was closing the distance between us.

One couldn’t be careless when fighting high-level monsters like this, so I sprang into action before he got within striking range. I swiftly calculated his speed and the remaining distance before I waved a hand in the air. Divine energy surged out of my left arm as God Binding Art caused four divine weapons to form in the air and whistle sharply toward the Dark Prisoner. They perfectly encircled and bound the undead brute, instantly halting the Dark Prisoner in its tracks. These mobs weren’t bosses, so their resistances toward crowd-control skills like God Binding Art weren’t high.

I couldn’t help but grin as I activated Thunderous Charge. After I slammed into the monster, I immediately hit it with War Crush + Burning Blade Slash. Even though the Dark Prisoner’s Defense was quite high, it was no match for my ridiculous Attack. My clone and pet also attacked it furiously, and we quickly took out 400k of the monster’s HP.

I deliberately slowed down the tempo of my attacks. I wanted to see exactly how hard this Level 191 dread-rank monster could hit!

The Dark Prisoner let out an earth-shaking roar as my God Binding Art slowly dissipated. It fiercely swung its spiked maul toward my left shoulder. Black sword energy instantly surrounded the maul in the shape of the blade as it used its Darkness Slash skill!

My body shuddered slightly as pain shot through my left shoulder! The Dark Prisoner had hit me so hard that a crack appeared in my left pauldron!

God damn, that is some crazy attack power! It hit me for so much fucking damage that it can start comparing notes with a boss monster!

It followed up that Darkness Slash with Deathblow that hit me for a good amount of damage as well. I decided that I had seen enough, and I swiftly surrounded the Dark Prisoner with my clone and the Phantom Wolf King. Perhaps we had triggered an attack based on our positioning, because the Dark Prisoner suddenly let out a furious roar and threw out its war maul. The gigantic spiked maul flew through the air as it whirled around the Dark Prisoner and smashed into all three of its attackers, causing all of us to lose a great amount of health.

Okay, the testing was definitely over! I had the measure of my foe now.

Taking on one or two Dark Prisoners at the same time wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but taking on three to four would push me to my limits. If I had to take on five or more, I would definitely die unless I activated Great Earth Transformation!

I skewered the monster with my Universe Break and robbed it of its last slivers of health. After that, I felt warmth surge through my body as a large stream of experience filled my being. If I got too close to any of these high-level dread-rank monsters, they would notice me even if I was using Earth Escape. If that happened, they would dig me up and eventually wear me down.

However, I was quite lucky that none of these monsters crossed paths with me. The moment I entered that dark corner, I could see Lin Yixin mounted on her ice horse. She seemed to be staring dazedly into the distance, as if she didn’t know where to go next. Meanwhile, her female ice dragon, Kris, circled around her protectively like a large dog protecting her beautiful master.

As I burst out of the ground, I made a flourish with the Cyan Netherworld Sword as I arrived in front of Lin Yixin. I grinned at her and said, "Yiyi, it’s been a long time since I last saw you!"

"Oh really?" Lin Yixin dryly remarked as she rolled her eyes at me.

It was at this moment that a black shadow rushed over and the smell of fresh blood overwhelmed my sense. I didn’t see anything, but I could clearly feel a huge critter latch its fangs around my head!

Fucking hell, it was the ice dragon. As expected, she was still really "devoted" to me. Thank god I didn’t take her as my pet last time. If I had, I’d have become the butt of countless jokes.

"Yeah!" I replied as I nodded my head. Being able to grind with a girl as pretty and intelligent as this was truly one of the greatest luxuries in this game...
