Even the Northern Alliance mages and archers had started to fill the city and put pressure on our troops.

I summoned my Ice Qilin Horse and charged back and forth on the ramparts. The Phantom Wolf let out a howl as it followed after me and killed any opponents within its attack range.

He Yi swung her Blade of the Earthen Soul, hurling any Northern Alliance players off the ramparts. Meanwhile, the Firelight Mouse on her shoulder waved its tail and instantly enveloped a group of enemies with blazing fire.

Beiming Xue ran gracefully, reaching the borders of the city walls. With a tug of her bowstring, her arrows were shot at a bunch of enemies. Her Purgatory Thunder Beast was by her side, brandishing its claws and sinking them into the flesh of our enemies. At the same time, it continuously unleashed bolts of lightning upon its enemies. It was so powerful that many enemies were killed instantly!

The numerous arrow towers were activated within the city. Thick steel arrows were shot out continuously as they whistled through the air and pierced through the armors of the Northern Alliance players. The P2W arrow towers of a tier 2 city were OP. Their great attack power made them one of our best forms of protection.

Under the command of He Yi and I, a group of Dragonlight Cavalrymen started to summon their mounts. Getting into battle formation, we activated Charge and dashed forward on the ramparts. Gui Guzi, Heaven’s Rain and the other magic knights moved swiftly and formed a line at the edge. Proving to be our best form of protection, they held out their shields and blocked our troops from the enemy’s volleys of arrows and spells.

Vienna’s Sorrow urged his mount forward and shouted, "Everyone attack! Attack with everything we’ve got! Fuck! I refuse to believe that we can’t take down this puny Dawn City! Archers, I want you to focus on the CGL Hall of Famers! Focus fire and kill Broken Halberd Sinks into Sand!"

My gaze turned cold and I growled in a low voice, "Eve, Little Gui, Little Rain, continue to defend the city. I’ll go meet with that bastard Vienna’s Sorrow!"

I urged my horse forward and ran along the ramparts, charging toward the arrow towers. I scanned the battlefield in search of Vienna’s Sorrow and when I finally found him, I swiftly charged toward him. Jumping off the city walls, I leaped off the back of my horse while it was still in the air and brandished my sword. A swirl of indigo energy appeared on the tip of my sword as I shouted, "Vienna’s Sorrow! Die!"

"What?"

Vienna’s Sorrow jerked his head to look at me before swiftly bringing his sword up to block my sudden attack.

My eyes widened in shock when he parried my Universe Break. Rarely had anyone parried my Universe Break!

Vienna’s Sorrow and I exchanged grins as our swords clashed. My body seemed to freeze in the air for an instant, and I felt like a hero in an action movie. Unfortunately, I wasn’t Neo so the laws of gravity still applied to me. I immediately started to fall, but I managed to plant my left leg firmly on the head of Vienna’s Sorrow’s mount. I immediately swung my right leg at his chest, a cluster of fire erupting around my foot as it slammed into him! [1]

I gritted my teeth in frustration. My sword was once again parried due to Vienna’s Sorrow’s precise judgement. However, in a duel between two experts, one could not just rely on parrying attacks. I retracted my sword and swiftly delivered a kick to Vienna’s Sorrow’s face!

That kick thoroughly humiliated Vienna’s Sorrow and he flew into rage instantly. Without waiting for the cooldowns of his attacks, he lifted his left hand to deliver a punch with a loud cry. I laughed heartily at their words as I retreated swiftly. Soon after, my back hit the city wall with a bang. With a swing of my sword, I unleashed Burning Blade Slash. Three consecutive crescent waves of sword energy were shot out and exploded amid a group of enemies!

These three consecutive attacks had a 200% Attack buff from Martial God making them extremely OP. A string of damage numbers amounting to more than 200000 floated above the heads of that group of magic knights. The image of a snarling beast’s head appeared above the tip of his sword before he fiercely thrust it toward my chest, causing a huge damage number to pop up above my head. Unfortunately for me, Vienna’s Sorrow wasn’t done yet! His blade flashed out with lightning speed as he immediately followed up with Triple Slash! I hurriedly brought my sword up, but I could only block one of those three attacks. The string of damage numbers that followed instantly caused my face to go pale with shock.

Vienna’s Sorrow held his sword at an angle as he urged his mount forward. At this moment, rays of healing spells by the Northern Alliance priests started to envelop him. Each spell added ten thousand to his health and he regained full health within a matter of seconds.

I started to panic at the sight of this. He was a powerful opponent whose max HP was in no way lower than mine. To kill him, I would have to deliver extremely powerful attacks in a blink of an eye to prevent him from recovering any health.

I ran around in a random pattern and changed the speed of my mount every now and then. The enemy archers probably wanted to tear their hair out in frustration as their arrows landed everywhere but on me.

A look of shock flickered in Vienna’s Sorrow’s eyes before he chuckled involuntarily. Brandishing his sword, he charged toward me in a zigzag motion. Our swords tilted forward as we prepared to exchange blows with one another. All of the sudden, our mounts stopped zigzagging as we changed to a helix maneuver. God damn, we had both thought of the exact same thing!

"Die!"

Vienna’s Sorrow attacked the moment an opportunity presented itself! Flames erupted from his blade as he actually used a magic attack against me! A floating blade slashed my back, shaving off more than twenty thousand HP in an instant!

Swhoosh, swhoosh, swhoosh...

The Ice Qilin Horse charged through the snow before I pulled on its reins, and abruptly turned right. I swiftly ducked behind the shield of a Bloodthirsty Beast Cavalryman. That was an extremely successful move as Vienna’s Sorrow’s attack had completely missed me. His eyes turned as wide as saucers as he pointed a finger at that rider and shouted, "Goddammit! You, get lost!”

I urged my Ice Qilin Horse and charged out from behind the shield. I swiftly unleashed a crescent wave of sword energy at Vienna’s Sorrow, narrowly missing him. As I shot that wave of sword energy, I yelled out, "Beiming! Now!"

A dark green arrow flew at Vienna’s Sorrow and landed smack on Vienna’s Sorrow’s chest. As the arrow pierced through his breastplate, green light started to ripple from that arrow.
