Alex was always a little...sour...with her race car dad, the racer that everyone has known and loved since what felt like forever--at least, according to Alex-- Lightning McQueen. For the past few years, she's never wanted anything more than for her charismatic (and over-enthusiastic) father to stop nagging about wanting her to join the racing leagues, but in a twist of fate, Alex decides to join secretly, going under the name "Storm Swift", racer number #22.
The secret is kept between Sally, Alex, and the known next-gen. racer, Jackson Storm, who makes a deal with Alex to keep the secret, as long as she agrees to keep a relationship with him, if only as a way for Jackson to gain more publicity than he already has, as a new generation racer.
