Elaine Aleytia is a girl that was born into a wealthy household. 16 years of age and certainly a beauty. Elaine drank a wine that was poisoned; she choked and fell to the ground. She thought to herself. "Ah... what a pitiful life this has been, I never asked to be an aristocrat's daughter, If only I could have been born simple, yet, happy...." She closed her eyes, accepting her demise. Only to suddenly wake up in an unfamiliar location. She looked around and saw things that could have not existed in the modern era where she was living. "Where is this place? Were you tired of playing as an elf? As a human? Did you want to try something new? Then play as a golem, a walking shark, a centaur, or a lizardman. If you didn’t like any of these choices, then just choose a different one. The choice was yours to make.

But even hipsters were better than Seth, the beefy police officer that caught her teleporting. Apparently, she wasn’t allowed to lie to him, which was fine as long as he didn’t ask about the clone. Seth: Seth had seen his share of bad luck. On normal days, it manifested as a shoulder injury that got him discharged from his SEAL team or wounding a civilian while on the police force. But landing in a parallel dimension with elves in neon green pants, a cute mad scientist with magical abilities, and swarms of carnivorous fairies? That was a first. I don't have a set plan for where the story goes, as each week, I write my story around three random words posted weekly on The Prediction (an online flash fiction challenge group).
