Agent Way travels to Austria on a case where he meets Frank, a study abroad student. While the CIA forbids agents any close affairs, Gerard figures if Frank only knows his civilian alias, there's no harm. But with national security at risk and the case hauntingly personal, lying to Frank grows harder. Especially when nobody knows the real Gerard Way, not even the CIA.
