He is an up and coming hunter and beast tamer, a person who tames magical beasts and uses mystical martial arts to fight alongside them. What their job entails is as diverse as there are hunters. However, in the overall sense, they are meant to protect the people and hold back the ever-flowing tide of monsters looking to trample humanity.
