The Nomad
A [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] for 2020. A child born in one era and raised in another searches for his past. Along the way he must deal with the shackles placed upon his mind, a wise-cracking ship AI, and more bureaucratic paperwork then any one soul can shake three sticks at. This story began life as a one-off short, but this version has been a) expanded into a full work and b) a complete re-write of the orgional. Continuation of the Alchemyst book 1 Sometimes to be the good guy, you gotta be the bad guy. This is a story about Louis, a guy that was just trying to get along before he got kidnapped and forced to play cook by a Cartel. He's no Heisenberg, however. Now that he's out of Prison and put a beat down on some of the folks that put him away, he's facing the real pressures of Life as a single-person superpower: Everyone wants to use him for their own purposes. Along the way he's met a few girls, some good, some bad. He's looking to save the world, establish an evil empire, secure a future for the people he considers his, and maybe finally kill that damned superhero that started it all. This is not 'the boys'. Not all superheroes or supervillains are evil, The 'super' world is expanding to include aliens, magic, and the children of ancient deities and legends. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate.

The Elements of a Savior
Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge Ethan, an apprentice blacksmith, is drawn into a religious struggle between two factions, one who is waiting for a savior to appear and the other who is trying to create one. Both sides need the power of the Elementals, which he is now in possession of. Ethan doesn't believe in any of this religious nonsense, but he is forced to choose sides as his life, and the world's fate may rest in the balance. Sera is religious and firmly believes the savior is coming, but first, she has to protect Ethan from the religious zealots who want to kill him. Her faith will be challenged and her talents tested, and in the end, it may be up to her to reveal the true savior for humanity.

But things are never that simple when you deal with the dark arts. Cultists, demon pacts, sacrificial murders all stand in the demon hunters' way as they search for the truth. A truth that will force them to question their own identities, a truth about the absolute evil lurking beyond heaven and earth. The question is, if they find the truth, will they be strong enough to handle it?

They are constantly harassed and bullied by the community who accuse them of practicing witchcraft. His father was a known witch, but he made money for a lot people. Since his death the family business has dwindled. And so have the friendships. The family has had to adapt in some conventional ways, along with some questionable ones too. Leaving us to question if wrong can be right and if some wrongs are really wrong at all.
