What is it that you desire? Longevity? Strength? A Holy Lord has it all, but at what price? None of them really knows. But they know that their fate is in the hands of someone else. Most of them got used to that, their lives controlled by some being they’ve never even seen.
However, one of them is not willing to pay the price of being a slave. One day, he encountered a dark energy that changed him. It merged with him. Now, with his newly found powers he was granted the opportunity to retaliate.
All he desires is to find answers and get in control of his own fate. No matter what he has to sacrifice, no matter how much blood he has to spill, even if it means he has to create a pile of corpses, or become the devil himself. To him, the price of freedom is all but expensive.
Basically a story with an anti-hero protagonist in a dark fantasy, medieval setting.

Synopsis: Issa Pyxis, Spacer orphan and illegal heretic, graduated from living on the streets to running with a gang years ago, but now it looks like that’s all going to change. Her inheritance, more specifically who—or what—she is, is catching up with her, and on a planet with the Emperor’s inquisitors slinking around in every shadow, nowhere is safe and no one can be trusted. What will she do? A cyberpunk story about identity, loneliness, covert infiltration, evil dystopias, and much more! Features: - Cyborgs and cyberpunk galore - This is indented to be somewhat “rational” and “hard” Sci-Fi story - Original Fiction however parts of my worldbuilding are inspired by other Sci-Fi stories (duh) Rationale: The future is cool, AIs are kickass, and questions about consciousness are simultaneously existential and yet unanswered. To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. On the edge of the city, far away from the smoke and shadows of the high rise slums, plans are made, information is gathered, and a group builds strength. All of the members of R.A.I.G want the government and their brutal police force taken down, none more so than Rowan Nevers. She's been wanting revenge for a long time. And it seems the end of the road may finally be in sight. This is the world the gods have turned their backs on. Even these creatures, these holy divine beings, can be overwrought with greed. Amongst themselves, amongst their factions, wars were fought. However, the many temples' priests had grown ignorant to their God's silence, unaware that one by one they were dying off in a war of the Heavens. Cors, the Grand God of the Sun, the father of life, had become corrupt and jealous, wanting to wrench power from all the other gods. Tillia, the Goddess of Magick and Shadow, the only God to be able to stand up against Cors, uses her dying breath to reach out to her temple for help. Knowing that Cors has made his final move to walk amongst the humans, she gives her Essence, the core of her power, to Nethira, young girl of her temple. With her remaining strength, Tillia gives Nethira a single command. To save the balance of power she must appease him.
