Rueben Burger is a high school student and he is severely obese. He also suffers from a penchant for doing the right thing even if it means placing himself in a difficult or compromising position. Which is how Rueben finds himself in an apartment that is larger on the inside than it should be, about to be fired at by a weapon he has never seen the likes of in a building that is on fire.

Super powers! The result of his sojourn in the burning building. Now Rueben has a few decisions to make. Does he become the hero he has always dreamed of being, or does he stay out of the fight to keep his Grandmother safe? Does Rueben give up his power to be the skinny kid he has desperately longed to be?

Fat Boy Hero is a story long in the making. The idea came from my love of hero stories, but the lack of relatable heroes. By that i mean there were no, or few heroes that dealt with weight gain. Something I have and am dealing with after leaving the Marine Corps. So Fat Boy Hero was born.
