After your family had been struggling with money, you move to Avonlea, in hopes of starting new. You have to start at a new school but luckily you are friends with Gilbert and you make friends with Anne and Diana. The other girls don't like you, and Ruby and Josie cause trouble with you. When tragedy strikes you and your family, you find comfort in a friend who has gone through a similar situation. While you struggle to cope with the tragedy, you slowly become broken, but luckily you have great people around you to help you.
