When Eli Shane's dad, Will Shane, disappeared while dueling Thaddius Blakk, Eli was determined to be a great slug-slinging hero, to fight crime and regain peace, just like his dad, but only when he turned fifteen, as he promised his dad. When he arrived at Slugterra, he made a few friends through a competition. A molenoid, Pronto; A girl, Trixie; and a cave troll, Kord. The last one who had ever seen Will Shane alive, Dr Blakk, now becomes interested in Eli.
